So, the consensus is that Mercury gets almost an electric plug feeling in it from Uranus.

Yeah, I have this; mercury in leo and uranus in libra. I tend to synthesize information and analyse it rapidly. However, on occasion, I sometimes get ahead of myself in speech, i.e. I will say the end result, D, before I say A+B+C=D.

Saturn,to me, is cold water poured on something.

Yep.. I have a hard square within 3 degrees betwen Mercury in Cap in the 4th house and Uranus in Libra in the 1st house. Also adding to the whole thing is the fact that Mecury also forms a hard square to my moon in Aries (which opposes Uranus). LOL..

I don't feel mentally unstable nor have I had a nervous breakdown, had mental issues or not been able to deal with circumstances. I do get overwhelmed at times but that is due to the sheer volume of projects I take on at the same time.

What I do get is major flashes of insight with the inability to articulate them as sometimes they come on too fast, however if I write them down, I do just fine.

My mind is always going, even at night as I am trying to go to sleep but I have learned to channel it into thinking about a specific project from start to finish and then I drift off to sleep (happily enough, I often wake up in the morning with a long list of things I need to do to finish the project). For example, I have had 3 research papers due in two weeks. I spend time on doing the research and then before I write the paper I think about it before I fall asleep. Often I am up early in the am, writing down the order that I want to paper to go, what needs to be addressed and within a few hours a 5-10 page paper is completed.

I also have an incredibly hard time with people that don't grasp concepts as quickly as I do. I get frustrated with them which can make me a bit hard to deal with. I've learned to control that and remember that everyone has different learning styles. For me, I remember images and text on pages. I have an amazing memory which helps me in performing on tests, projects or in writing documents.

The major issue I have is when Uranus, the Moon and Mercury are all activated at the same time - emotion, speech, unpredictable energy- can make for real crazy fire works.

i used to think i had this aspect, but i learned that an orb of 8 is too wide.

I think wide orbs can be felt. You have to discern each aspect for yourself, I think.
