Vertex has proved true for me.It does rule FATE. I met a fated romantic partner when my P Vertex was conjunct my Natal Venus opposing his Name asteroid in my chart. His Natal Vertex is conjunct my ASC in his 6th house and we met at work. Seeing him for the first time was like lightning. When he first spoke to me, and we were alone, I couldn't even talk my whole body was trembling. Then I had a dream about him... And then two weeks later, we were in bed and the rest is history. Also, my Vertex conjuncts his NN in my 7th house. Widley conjunct his ASC. IP: Logged |

@vertiver.. I believe all of our important encounters are fated.. Part of the grand plan.. But... The REALLY strong fated ones are the ones you will feel it the most... I didnt feel this fated feeling with my husband as I do with Pisces.. but yet it was fated... If you go back and look at people from your past, and put somethings together you will realized how fated it was.. Sometimes its easier to see, after its all done... IP: Logged |

I will say though, my Vertex is exactly conjunct my DSC and partnerships, whether they be romantic or not, have always led to turning points in my life- catalysts for major changes and shifts in the direction and conditions of my life. IP: Logged |

I have read that the Vertex is the spiritual Asc so the anti vertex is the spiritual Dsc... So anti vertex conjunct Saturn... I would say its some sort of Karma.. IP: Logged |

It can rule any fated event. It's hard to test out in research, because you need EXACT tob or the vertex is utterly useless. IP: Logged |

Oh wait, Lioness, I changed my mind I just realized my progressed Vertex is at 14 degrees Leo and most of my significant encounters have been with either Leo Suns/ASC. or Venus in Aquarius (opposing the Vertex). IP: Logged |

I believe that the vertex is fated.I don't think it's the only thing that denotes fate... there's still the North Node/South Node,Saturn, and possibly Chiron....but I think it's pretty powerful. I've read that planets conjunct the vertex are more powerful in a persons chart than even the chart ruler. I don't know if that's true or not,but that's what I read. :-) My vertex is on my husbands IC and his Vertex conjunct my Venus which is conjunct my Descendant. My vertex is also conjunct my Uranus,Sun and Mars. I attract Unique,Strong,Aggressive people into my life. IP: Logged |

The VERTEX actually is more important than almost everything else when it conjuncts natal plants, that is true.Lucky for me, his Vertex is conjunct his Sun and Mercury.. On my ASC IP: Logged |

i've found that the vertex has been involved in many of my fated happenings, but it's also not been involved in many of my fated happenings. but i've also found that it didn't create THE happening so much as put into motion the series of actions that would then lead to major life changes. i guess this makes sense since it's the turning point. i recently had saturn pass over my vertex and an astrologer told me that this transit brings in a partner, it's about 15 degrees before my DC and so I could see how this could be. Saturn just touched my DC yesterday...but no partners in sight!! Although I did meet an unusual amount of men during the Saturn vertex transit. The last time saturn went over my vertex i took my first trip to europe which caused me to move here which caused me to change my career which caused me to meet my husband which caused me to have my daughter which caused me to leave my husband.... vertex or life? I just had Saturn transit my Vertex from last November until this September. A lot happened this year for me- Saturn was transiting my Vertex/DSC, Pluto was on my MC, and Jup/Uranus on my ASC, so it's hard to isolate just the effect of the Saturn transit but I think I sort of understand what it did for me.... I mentioned, my vertex is conjunct my DSC. During this time I met a handful of people I formed very close relationships with. Some of these were kind of awkward at the beginning...all of them got off to a very slow start but a year later have evolved into very deep relationships and opened me up to the kinds of things I'd always wanted in relationships but was not quite adept enough in my own relational skills to achieve (I should mention, my DSC ruler, Venus is also conjunct Saturn natally so I think I was especially appreciative of this transit because of that). Most of them are with older people and all of them are with people who I look up to in someway and who kind of took me under their wing for whatever reason. All of them have opened me up to a multitude of opportunities I could have never found on my own- things that made my dreams feel possible- and a closeness that I had long felt was not possible for me in relationships- one that seems very real and solid and has actual proofs and manifestations. I'll admit also- in terms of a feeling of "fate," all these relationships seemed to kind of force their way into my life in a way that seemed beyond my control. At the time I saw them as a burden, and even now I feel that weight, but I realized that to have the kind of relationships I want, I need to be able to put in that effort. Sometimes this was uncomfortable- I felt limited by these relationships at times and like my vitality was lowered but I do trust these people at this point very much and value what they've added to my life and again, I can't stress this enough- it's exactly what I had always hoped my relationships could be like. Anyway, that's just my two cents! Generally I think Saturn's energy is one of solidification of things through pragmatic, objective consideration- no illusions, no imagined circumstances. I guess that can be applied to whatever house/sign your Vertex falls into for an idea of specific context(s) IP: Logged |

Exhibit A: My natal vertex conjuncts my natal sun/moon midpoint and my Draconic Saturn. my biggest lessons in my life (so far) i feel are everything to do with love and relationships and me learning about myself and correcting mistakes my mother and father made in their relationship. Exhibit B: - an old crushe's natal sun trines my natal vertex, then my Draconic vertex conjuncts his natal sun
- my crushe's draconic venus is 4 degrees from my natal vertex. - my first teenage crushe's Mars was 3 degrees from my natal vertex: AYE CARUMBA! i don't know any of their birthtimes so i don't know what their vertexes were up to all i know is that they all made me slightly obsessive...about them. my progressed vertex is currently squaring my natal venus and trining my progressed venus (inc. naughty pluto squaring my n.venus). for the first time in my life, exactly two years ago, i wanted a boyfriend/to fall madly in love. i hated guys (long story..) right up until then. sp weird. tr. pluto on my n.venus... all i have to say is eeuuucch ewwwwwwwwww! *shudder* creepy men, paranoia, amazing would-be-perfect-boyfriends-who-have-equally-awesome-girlfriends, disappointment upon disappointment. the whole thing sucks so badly. i have to keep believing because everything gets better with time?
