I am born on an exact New Moon in Scorpio conjuncting my Pluto and IC in 4th.

I want to find information about the effect the New Moon/Full Moon has on a person and I'm not talking simple conjunctions or oppositions.

In Wicca and indeed in several so-called 'pagan' religions and cults, the exact New/Full Moon is considered a highly significant event when the access to astral realms is greatly enhanced and magick made highly potent.

I desire to know how such placements affect the nature and energy of the complete natal chart.

Knowflakes with these placements are requested to add to this page.

Serious replies solicited.

I was born on a full moon. I was not able to find enough information about this phase to make a concrete post.

Im not sure how to differentiate from what is the effect of the full moon or my Sun opposition Moon.

From Cafe Astrology:

"..People born under the Full Moon are idealists. They may spend a lot of time searching for belief systems that they can relate to. Relationships are important to them and they need to be fully conscious of the effects their words and actions have on others. It is hard for them to find the ideal relationship in this material world and they will often turn to religion or an ideal cause. In looking for the right relationship, one needs to proceed through the clarity of the light of consciousness and not get caught up in the emotional bog of sheer desire.."

"..It is hard for Sun opposition Moon people to find happiness within themselves. They tend to look outside of themselves for fulfillment. They are inclined to form serious relationships at an early age, simply because of this tendency to try to find an answer to happiness from an "other". They are prone to divorce, partly because of this prematurity, and partly because their needs are complicated. Full Moon people are also more apt to seek counseling because of this need to find answers..."

"..However, at some point in their lives, they need to uncover what it is they truly want. This comes easy to New Moon people, and can be a life-long struggle for Full Moon people. On the other hand, it is extremely easy for a Full Moon personality to understand others' points of view--something that doesn't come as easily to a New Moon personality. Sun opposition Moon people are generally interesting and complex. Born under a Full Moon, they can be a bit "loony", perhaps manifesting itself in a unique sense of humor..."

I mixed a few points from Full Moon Inpertation to Sun opposition Moon..

I have very difficult relationships with people and have a hard time maintaining them, I feel a "split" with other people and it's more obvious in personal relationships. It's frustrating for them because I am never in a concrete time frame for them, for me I am very much in a fractured time frame there is the Virgo and then there is the Pisces.

Virgo is productive, for example at the beginning of semester of school I work delignetly and strive to get good grades then..at the end I question my hard work and my work ethic begins to decline and become counterproductive(Pisces)..I start to daydream of what I "want" and not necessarily what I need(Virgo)..

My life fluctuates, and Im never really sure where I stand in life. I have to be careful to not become a leaf blowing in the wind..

There is always a never-ending search or conquest for answers also easily influenced by my 9 energy..

I guess this is why I am thankful for have Saturn/8 energy its a saving grace and helps the productive Virgo in me..

..Though I need both and I have to work out both to feel satisfied in life.

Thanks to Crona, Raspberri and Whitewater for their replies and help in making sense of this particular aspect.

Will you please, tell me the sign and degree of your New/Full moon?

Whitewater:
An exact conjunction/opposition is on the same degree as the Sun but I would love to get your degree and signs too.

Thats cool, the sun/moon conjunction, while not exact, is part of a crazy stellium that is central to my personality. The moon is at 21 degrees gemini, exactly conjunct a retro mercury and a retro venus, and the sun is at 23 degrees gemini.

About the access to the astral realms, I have spontaneous lucid dreams often. Multiple times a week usually. Maybe thats connected my gemini conjunction, that stellium is also conjunct my IC.

I have experienced with the conjunction to the IC that the home life is particularly emphasised. Early experiences tend to shape the perceptions in the sign of the IC. In you case, it would be your communication and how you perceive the way others communicate. Also relationships with siblings tend to be intense and have an on-off quality about them.

Found this on a link posted by Lioness:

THE NEW MOON

The New Moon rises at sunrise and sets at sunset. The sun, moon and earth are almost in a direct line during this phase of the moon. The New Moon reflects new beginnings and the start of a new cycle for us. It is thought that those born under a New Moon are in the first incarnation of eight lives. The person born under this moon has a great deal of spontaneity and sees life as one big adventure. These people live in the moment and are not big planners. The personality of those born under the New Moon is generally very instinctive, and these people are full of life and new ideas. They are very much positive and action-oriented people.

FULL MOON

The Full Moon rises at sunset and sets at the sunrise. People that are born under the phase of the Full Moon are idealists. As this is the halfway point of the moon's cycle, those born under its power are able to see both sides of an argument and are keenly aware of not only their needs, but also the needs of others. They may have difficulty choosing between conforming while still retaining their uniqueness and personal freedom. These people may spend much time searching for philosophies and religions that they can relate to.

Found this among my trawlings:

quote:
In Astrology, low cycles occur for each sign when the Sun is in the sign opposite to their sign. It is exactly six months from your birth date. For example, Libras low-energy cycle is during the transit through Aries from the 21st until the 19th of April. Next month (May), it will be Scorpios low cycle and the following month (June), it will be Sagittarius and so on.

Like it says above, my low cycle is supposed to be around May but I've found I tend towards the opposite...I always have a low/introspective cycle around my own birthday. Could it be related to my Natal New Moon birth?

Would like some opinions here

On a New Moon, Sun and Moon are conjunct and are never more than 3 degrees apart.

The opposite is the case with a Full Moon. The Sun and Moon are in opposite signs and form an angle of 180/- 3 degrees between them.

The aspects in both cases are exact if the Sun and Moon occupy the same degrees.

Example:
For a New Moon, I am born on an exact New Moon so both my Sun and my Moon are exactly conjunct at 17 Scorpio.

For a Full Moon, my friend was born on an exact Full Moon. He has Sun at 23 Scorpio in exact opposition to his Moon at 23 Taurus.

But if the conjunction or opposition is off, then look at the aspects table below the chart at astro.com where they list the orbs.

Again, taking my example, my Moon is at 17Sco07 and Sun is at 17Sco23. So the moon is moving in aspect to the Sun or the aspect is 'applying'.

Same is the case with my friend, whose Sun is at 23Sco48 and Moon is at 23Tau16. The Moon is moving into opposition with the Sun.

So if in a chart the Sun and Moon are either conjunct or in opposition by less than 3 degrees and the aspect is "applying" then the person is born on a New/Full Moon.

Hope this helps. If I have confused you then just list the Sun and Moon positions in the natal and I'll check it for you
