If one senses the love offered is insincere or not the kind of love one is seeking does that still mean that the individual has difficulty perceiving love or are they just more based in reality?

It's a word that is flung around like confetti and has lost much of its meaning due to its flippant use. If it's the kind of love I want, from the people I want then I'll take it, otherwise I'd rather do without.

Horrifically afflicted Venus at 29 virgo conjunct Pluto both being squared by Saturn, Venus inconjunct Mars but thankfully trine to Jupiter and sextile to Neptune,

I've often attributed this to LG's quote, "Aries must learn that love is trust, and teach that love is innocence." I have major trust & commitment issues.

I've deluded myself (Sun square Neptune?)into thinking, "I would feel if someone loved me, since my Moon and Mercury are in Pisces."

I can relate to everything you are saying. I always say that I have emotional amnesia. I can so easily "forget" my last encounter with someone, good or bad, and just be in the moment of the current good time. But often that results in me never dealing with my sh!t and i just carry it around with me.

I've have Aries Moon square Neptune, Jupiter and my Ascendant. And Aries square Venus by sign (Venus in Capricorn)

Obviously there is a lot of delusion going on. "I always say, if you really loved me, you'd do this...and not that"

to answer the question: i don't have trouble perceiving love, i think perhaps my love desires are complex though.

which makes sense to me, the more planets aspectign moon and venus, are likely all the kinds of planetary energy or themes you need to feel loved.

for example,

in my chart, i have moon square Jupiter, Neptune & Saturn. and oppose Venus. if you consider wide squares of 7, then my moon squares uranus too.

my venus squares jupiter, saturn, uranus and opposes my moon and if you consider the wide orbs of 7 again, then my venus squares neptune. (i feel the shoe fits a bit for these wide aspects).

my venus is in libra, moon in aries.

my moon needs to come first (aries)

my venus needs time and companionship.

i think saturn on these planets needs commitment.

uranus needs excitement and something different.

jupiter needs something.. i am feeling it needs fun, but also trust and ethics. but perhaps jupiter and these other planets go the other way - needing space, refusing to find commitment.

neptune needs a bit of dreamyness.

venus oppose moon.

moon needs venusian stuff.

venus needs lunar stuff.

i have a grand square between these planets.

not to show love by doing them but, if something comes between us, and it means us, our love, and ME or the thing that is the other choice, i would expect in true love that they sacrifice that.

but im not unreasonable.
