(posted this in soul unions too. have no idea what i'm doing..sorry if it annoys anyone.)
is their name supposed to frequently just spring up randomly in completely random places? Is it really because you are always thinking about them?This has been happening to me for over a year and a half now. It isn't annoying as it used to be, it's just we can't be together right now (venus conjunct saturn, anyone?). I don't sit around wondering if he feels the same about me, I have an inkling that I don't have to. It's just that wishful thinking and getting my hopes up would significantly increase my chances of becoming completely deluded lol Can someone please help me out?

I know just what you are talking about....One time when I was going through something with an ex, the prevelance of our relationship was everywhere. The same song, little reminders....One time I was driving & I swear I wasn't even trying to think about him, I saw his name everywhere. One the back of a truck, on a bus bench, one billboard & a cafe. The kicker that almost threw me over the edge was when I had to meet someone to hand over some work items and her kid had the same name!! All in one day!Best piece of advice i can give is just stay occupied and ride the wave out...I became a neat freak and my house was never cleaner...lol.IP: Logged |

*hugsback*thanks i'm the same. usually it's when i'm not thinking about him that his name appears & just other little things, nice, tempting but yes because i love him, it can be rather annoying. you're right about just riding it out. i have tried to put him out of my mind many times and it works just fine on the weekend until i go back to work where i can see his workplace everyday (we work across the street from each other). i like to let it happen on its own. although, i must say, i have gotten alot better. less pining and can look over there now and don't feel a sense of yearning and emptiness which is great. he's involved (plus is going to be a dad soon..) and i'm single. i'm happy with myself and i certainly wouldn't dream of chasing after someone elses man, eww. i just, completely by accident, fell in love with one. it's funny because just before we met i just started thinking about love and finding someone to love for the first time ever, then we met and we were both single. so far nothing expect pain and awfulness for me, he's getting everything i wanted instead lol. it used to annoy me but i'm okay with it now. it's actually quite amusing lol

its just a valuable lesson in life unfortunately. You fell in love for the qualities that he has and I am sure that you will be able to find the same thing in another without all the extra stuff....IP: Logged |

I've recently thought about two guys I dealt with in the past. One is an Aqua ex...and the other is a Pisces ex. I'm moving away in a few weeks (right after the 1st), and I cared so deeply for these two guys that its hard to picture that I'm moving without ever seeing them again. But I know I was decent in how I dealt with them. I'm thinking about the Aqua ex because I have a lot of anger and borderline hatred for how I was treated and I always hoped I'd be able to confront him for using me. But it doesn't look like that will happen. And the Pisces because we were friends, but then he started to treat me badly and I thought we were close. Who knows with him. IP: Logged |

yeah something really messed up happened between us (well over a year ago) and i was furious with him for almost nine months after that and all because we have never talked about it. i also used to fantasise about reading him the riot act and making him feel worthless like how i felt.it's a loooong story but i too felt humiliated and used. i only know that if he really valued me, he wouldn't have done (what he did) to me. he was acting like a jerk ******* at the time. when i think about what exactly made me hate him in the first place, i want to (and do) cry.
it hurts but i forgive him.
sounds like we both just need some closure. or a doctors appointment lol
