yep you definately have them, I didn't bother counting though, alice portman's site is good for explaining their purpose, http://aliceportman.com I have a couple of books which I found useful, The yod book by Karen Hamaker Zondag and the yod its esoteric meaning by Joan kellogg they generally refer to areas that will be prone to "unforseen" events and also gifts http://www.new-moon-epiphany.com IP: Logged |

Your yod apex is Venus in the 2nd house and Taurus is your ASC. This Yod explains that many crisises are apparent especially in regards to money and other Venusian things. I have a Yod in my chart as well, but the apex is in the 8th house and the apex planet is the Sun, but I've yet to really understand its effect. IP: Logged |

here is my chart...I am going to study today on yods, kites, and t-squares... how about Grand Trines? How close of an orb is needed? I have an earth trine going, but it's about 8 degorb I think? Any thoughts? http://www.astro.com/cgi/chart.cgi?cid=fo0files7UJ4O-u1291589738&lang=e&gm=a1&nhor=1&nho2=1&btyp=2&mth=gw&sday=9&smon=12&syr=2010&hsy=0&zod=&orbp=&rs=0&add=18&add=19&add=20&add=22& add=12&add=13&add=14&add=15&add=136199&add=23&add=7066&add=28978&add=90482&add=50000&add=90377&add=20000&ast=55555%2C11911%2C37452%2C3811%2C447%2C4227%2C1924%2C1912%2C42%2C1923 IP: Logged |

Ooooh sorry for the repeat, my internet was being weird...But 8 degree orbs are too wide to have a grand trine. Robert hand uses only 3 degree orbs at the most for trines in general. IP: Logged |

That Mystic Rectangle forming with your Ascendant is pretty tight!I don't usually count angles but with the close orbs and the planets involved, you might want to look into that. I'm always fascinated when I see strong geometry in a chart. IP: Logged |

loads of astrolgers will use up to eight degrees for a trine including liz greene, karen hamaker zondag, sue tompkins, - who all write for the psychological astro assoc, forgot to add that some will also say that patterns involving the angles make the formation more personal. This includes yods, mysstic rectangles, thors hammers and whatever else there is. IP: Logged |

Uh okay, well I think 8 degrees it too wide for a trine, but for other aspects such as a conjunction is not too wide... But wow, Bluegrey, you've got a mystic triangle and a yod. How do you think this translates in your life?

I didn't think the mystic rectangle was real because of the 4th angle being my ASC. IP: Logged |
