do u think looking at our synastries is detrmental to a real realtionship growing
- do you think it helps it grow
- do u think it creates a self fulfiling profecy
- do u think it helps prevent waisted time
- do you think it helps protect us from some of the pain and obbsession (ie. from neptunes influence)
- do you think it prevents us from feeling real emotions

-same thing with HOROSCPES. reading your horoscope in advance....do u think that ruins the experiance, and prevents you from actually moving forward with your life, and just living it???

i'm obbsessed and dependent on astrology (and i feel like it prevents me from living life, feeling, growing....ANYONE ELSE FEEL THE SAME WAY??

You have to learn how to balance. It's okay to have hobbies. Just learn when to step back and experience life without thinking about it all the time.

And I don't read horoscopes. I predict things myself according to my chart and it doesn't affect me in a negative way. I find it fascinating when I get to see how transits work. Like Saturn being on my Libra ASC.

Also, synastry isn't always good. For me it doesn't make me feel rosy about anything. It shows the interaction in truth.

If you want my opinion, I think it'd be good for you to take a step back for a bit and acknowledge and put effort toward other people and things that give meaning to your life.

I have an interest in Astrology but it's not the only one. I don't read horoscopes, as in the dailies or weeklies, because I feel they're not relevant to what I enjoy because I gain more from studying charts than keeping track of everything going on in the sky, my primary interest in transits are the outer planets. I also gain from discussion of my interest, since I like others opinion, especially on their own charts, as a means to learn. And I like reading books on psychological astrology as well as by plain old Jungian psychoanalysts, and so I think a lot in terms of how the 2 co-exist and how one can be interpreted into another (I have Sun in Pisces in the 8th square Uranus, so that pretty much accounts for that interest, plus Mercury conj Dsc in Aquarius).

Anyway back to synastry,
Yea I get very eager for their chart details if I have an interest (close friendship or romantic), because I think it's fascinating to see chart the details, ha, also the charts of those I don't get on with, just to see if it's in there. All I've noticed is that those I get on with share a lot in common with me chart-wise, not same exact aspects but a similarity (for example I have Sun sq Uranus, and a lot of them have Sun conj or opp Uranus), and those I don't tend to have an aspect that grates on me, one of which I've found is a natal Mercury conj Mars, which prob doesn't sit well with me cos I have Venus in a Mercury house and Mercury in a Venus house.

Anyway I guess you could get carried away with it, but my interest is more scientific than anything else. And I have a tendency toward obsession so sometimes I have to curb it, but that goes with anything in my life.
Saturn conj Pluto, here
.
.
.
And I wanna add that with transits I'm very skeptical, so it's more of a 'it has to proven to me,' rather than the other way around. Dunno why I'm just always skeptical of how they're interpreted, and how such gross generalizations of future occurrences can just be metered out with no thought at all.

lol i admit, i've hit rock bottom, i'm failing school because of it.
i've always been obsessive. if it wasn't astrology it would be something else. i just need something soothing to help me with stress etc, astrology is the thing right now.
i have another post titled this is me.
do u think you can look at it and tell me what causes me to be this way, and maybe what i can do to overcome it??

It's hard to tell, I need the visual of the chart.

But if you are an obsessive then it's likely you have the ability to focus intently, so I would channel that into something that would be affirming, such as continuing with schooling/finishing up as that seems what you wanted to do. And appreciate that you can go to school while many others cannot. Maybe it seems overwhelming? You can always ask for help and maybe next time try not to take on so many classes, for example.

I think that you should begin meditating. calm yourself down. Dig in and find yourself. Meditation can make your mind sharper than ever because it can clear out the dust. I want you to get to a point where you don't ask others what you need to do. I want you to take control over yourself and your life. You must become aware of the power you have within.

That is what I want. The more you smile, the better. Smiling creates positive energy within yourself.

Yes I think too much emphasis is put on astrology.
It's a useful tool like a road map or radio traffic updates. You can maybe circumnavigate road blocks or drive a little slower if the roads are hazardous but when I read things such as
"My Pisces is square his Venus moon can we ever make a relationship work"
or
"We met two minutes ago and now I need to know everything about him including his past lives"
it makes me want to weep.

There is a lot to be said for just leaping into the unknown and relinquishing some control and just seeing what happens.

You are young. It is your privilege to be reckless and foolhardy. And I always think if people spent less time anguishing and drawing up charts about their problems and just got up off their ***** and actually did something constructive about fixing them they would feel a lot happier.....and in control of their own destinies.

Lord knows I wouldn't have done half the things I've done if I actually looked at the astrological implications of it...
but I wouldn't have missed any of it for the world

Yes, stay away from synastry if you are heavily Neptunian. It just messes up with your own idea of the relationship to the point that a few amazing synastry aspects between you deludes your self-awareness of how crappy the relationship really.

Sorry I'm going through a self-reflective period at the moment and I can't stand how many exceptions I've made for people in the past. From now on, I'm not going to look at my synastry with someone until I've steadily dated them for at least 3 months!

Vertiver, that will take self control and I know you can do it! Me, I get too grabsy with the charts, I'm 'in' reality, ok relative term, ha, but my scientific Mercurial mind takes over and I will analyze. If not the charts, then it will be their words, if not their words then their body language or their handwriting, I can't even let a man talk to me and be in the conversation really cos I'll be picturing in my head mating shows from the Discovery channel and wonder what animal he's acting like, and then try to predict his next move based on the way that animal moves in on its prey. I'll try to categorize and then check his face to see if he actually shares any features in common with it.

You'd be surprised how many people look like rabbits.

Oh yesssssssss it's been slow.
But I will not harp because I know that upsets my keeper, who diligently works to fix issues in more ways than technical.
It'll recover soon.

I think once I know someone's chart I tend to relax and feel less anxious about it. I'll do the same thing, Lonake, but only with famous people, like "wow he really looks like John Turturo I wonder if he has ________? "
