For our natal charts, share what planets are squaring your nodal axis and what happens when you've tried to overdo those aspects? Did life kick you in the chin? Do you keep going back and making those mistakes or are you learning from them & not repeating?

Here's mine:
Nodal axis @ 21 Cancer.Capricorn
Mars/Saturn @ 19/21 Libra square from the 3rd,
When I get too rigid in my thinking it pulls me away from the nurturing bonds I'm trying to work toward. When I'm too tied into my thoughts I forget my heart and the people I love, forgetting their sensitivities. Mars/Saturn also inclines to overwork and that can also be a problem to securing bonds since I'm off attending to practical matters.

Share your Nodal squares

I have Venus in Gemini 14
NN Pisces 16
Asteroid Joshuavo 16 Sagittarius

Someone named Joshua who I met during my Nodal return changed my life through love in a negative way.

Nodal axis at 22 Gemini (7th house)
Mercury at 28 Virgo (10th house)

Typically I screw up relationships by over-analyzing the hell out of EVERYTHING. I'm overly analytical when it comes to people and behavior anyway, as that is my profession, and it unfortunately does spill over into relationships. It's a tendency that is not exactly romantic or conducive to letting things take their course.

I'm working on it, and I have gotten better over the years, but I still run into unforeseen roadblocks.

I have Pluto squaring my cap/can nodal axis and saturn conjuncting the south node, balancing work and home is a constant see-saw, saturn(duty, obligation) demands I attend to my home yet I'm pulled towards creating my life "out there" pluto in libra...relationships needing to be sorted out before I can make progress..the funny thing is its always been the men in my life that have blocked my progress and never the kids.. Saturn on the south in mutual reception to the cap north node means I get to utilise what I have at the south node and use it to establish the north node stuff, the kids have always been a good anchor for me too, but I have the part of fortune with the south node..so an element of luck maybe came into that.

hmm.. interesting question, and one to definitely ponder.

I have 29 Cancer - Capricorn nodal axis, with mercury at 29 Libra in 3rd house.

Do you know, I have constant big communication issues with my siblings. Has never been a smooth ride. 3rd house rules siblings doesn't it?

I wonder if the relevance of this issue can be shown here.

My Moon is at 16,5 Scorp
SQUARE
Nodal axis at 14,5 Aqua - Leo

I read;

*** When the Moon is square to the nodal axis, it is at its bending and of considerable importance in stressing the individual’s lunar needs. ***

A planet at the bending is a square to the nodal axis (can be any planet).

I read:

**** Ninety degrees away from the North and South Nodes are the bendings, important points when considering the nodal axis holistically and as a cycle. In the horoscope, the northern bending is 90 degrees ahead of the North Node in zodiacal longitude, while the southern bending is 90 degrees before the North node in zodiacal longitude. The bendings are the midpoints of the North and South nodes. It is revealing to consider the potency and meaning of these points and how they might be used astrologically. While other planets may not be at that same latitude as the Moon at her bending, they can occupy the same zodiacal longitude, hence are square the nodal axis. What might natal or transiting planets at the bendings signify in the spirit of the dragon encounter?

From a traditional point of view planets ‘at the bendings represent critical issues which can change the flow of life’.(12) No doubt planets at the bendings play a very important role in our destiny, marking turning points in emotional situations, changes of attachments, transitions of home and belonging. But from the dragon’s point of view they are archetypal challenges that the hero must encounter. At the northern bending a planet symbolises the influences that earth the desires and ground the intellect. These planets challenge the vocational direction of our lives and demand to be integrated, often shifting the conscious perspective along a new trajectory. At the southern bending a planet represents the quest to locate the storehouse of innate wisdom that can help support the life schema. These planets are vital keys to understanding habitual behavior, instinctual responses and compulsive patterns and summon us to excavate the depth of the self to find the treasure. No wonder I have always seen these planets playing major roles in individual’s vocational quests.(13)

It then is no surprise that we also call this cycle The Draconic Cycle, not because of its harshness, but due to its celestial encounter with the dragon.**** www.astrosynthesis.com.au/articles/the_dragons_tale.doc

Okay, this all is very interesting and new to me.

I see that my Moon is at the SOUTH BENDING.

I've venus 28 gemini/N.N 1,2 cancer/mars 2,1 in cancer inclusive a bunch of asteroids. All this in trine to my saturn in pisces.

I cant say I feel strong trigg activity here. Saturn feels working on a more stable way. I feel always saturn be there like a father after all my up and downs on my lovelife and all test. This aspect works out good on my job/friends and togheter with other people. I not need make an effort to feel good. This aspect make me lazy sometimes and a give me an thought about that everything will be ok, as always. I feel I'm on the right way in life.

Yep 3rd rules siblings, neighbors, those you meet in your local cities while going about, cars, driving, phone calls, etc.

Maybe life is telling you to go for peace in your communications and balance rather than trying to push forward an idea or win argument , and the benefits of compromise (not saying you are like this, just a general observation of libra square to cancer/capricorn).

popcorn,
It doesn't look like you have squares to the nodal axis which is what this thread is about. Yes you're right, trines can be lazy-making, curiously.

My Venus at 5'47" Scorpio is square the nodal axis at 0'7" Leo/Aquarius. So that would be the Northern bending.

hi scrappy honey how are you?
Yes, the Mercury is how you're communicating and Scorpio is all intense broody moody which is so unlike your nodal axis which wants to *express* and be out there and seen, so if you drive to hard to figure people out (merc 7th) you're being driven away from your Leo NN that says to go find your creative source and be in it and give it your all, NN in the 4th says have the tightest knit most loving family you can, and if you dont have your own family make up a family involving all your friends, work to establish those loving bonds and share creative experiences with them. Also it says to use your home as a launching pad for creative work, so possibly a creative business run from home, there are other possibilities here, just throwing out a few.
