Amycus is not an asteroid.
It's a centaur.
Centaurs are asteroid/comet hybrid objects that have significantly longer and more eccentric orbits than asteroids.
Amycus' orbital period is 126.12 years
That is longer than Uranus' orbital period.
Therefore, Amycus is a generational object
