I am trying to learn more about composites, so I took 2 recent relationships from my friend.
The only correct house placement is chart #1. Chart #2 does not have a correct birth time so I couldn't get a correct house placement. Okay so now onto the analysis:

Chart 1

The steillium of saturn, merc, sun, venus, and pluto suggest a loving relationship. However its placed all in the third house, so maybe they have much to talk about? The venus Pluto conjunction could show a very transforming relationship. I don't like the mars and moon in the 12 house though. Doesn't this suggest that true feelings are hindered in the relationship? That this relationship never had a chance to really get serious because Mars (action) and Moon (emotions) are all in a hidden house. However, couldn't moon in the 12 signify a psychic link between the two?

Chart 2 NOTE: no birth time for one of the participants houses cant come into play

Wow! look at that Neptune Sun conjunction! Plus its opposing venus and mercury, and forming a t-square with saturn. I am not sure what to make of this one. The neptune sun thing kind of freaks me out. It seems like the relationship would be based on illusions, plus its opposing venus. Could this be an aspect of unrequited love? I really wish I knew the birthtime for this one, the house placements could show me a lot more.

Both of the charts don't have much water. Chart one has more planets in mutable signs, compared to chart two who has most in fixed signs. Chart two could show a more exciting relationship because of all the fire, but not long lasting? However, neptune is at work, so it could last much longer because of the illusion aspect?

So what chart shows a more loving relationship? I know the answer, but I just wanted more opinions and what else I should be looking for in the composites.

So what leads you to believe that Raspberri?
I should also point out that transiting saturn is currently conjunct venus in the composite for number one. I don't know if transits matter in composites or not..

Second. Sun opposite Venus is the same as Sun conjunct Venus, and the Sun/Venus conjunction is too wide in the first for me to be stoked on it.

Thanks amowls for the response!
The orbs for both charts in relation to sun/venus are both at 6 degrees. I should make the chart bigger, but I don't know how. I wish astro.com would only show lines to orbs at 3 degrees or less.

Okay so aspects with 1 degree (since the closest aspects are the most important?)or less in chart 2 are:
Sun sextile Pluto 0 degrees
Sun conjunct neptune 1 degree

Chart 1:
Sun sextile AC 1 degree
Pluto conjunct IC 1 degree
Moon square Pluto 1 degree
Moon trine Uranus 1 degree
Moon sextile saturn 1 degree
Saturn square neptune 1 degree
Saturn sextile uranus 0 degree

Hrmm.. I wonder what Pluto conjunct IC would mean in a composite?

Both are really nice charts, and both have that sun-Venus-mercury conjunction that indicates the most loving relationship in your life. And both of them have venus in positive aspect to Pluto. What they're missing is some positive Jupiter aspects. and the moon and Venus aren't activated in any especially positive way, except for with Pluto. A Pluto conjunction is very nice, and so is a Neptune conjunction, however Venus conjunct Pluto is nicer than sun conjunct Neptune in love since Venus is the planet of love and Pluto that of depth. BUT, the second chart does have both sun conjunct neptune AND venus trine pluto, so it has the best of both worlds. Both have Saturn involved, but a square is worse than a conjunction, and sun square Saturn is worse than just mercury conjunct Saturn (even though that would means lots of awkward silences..it's not the end of the world). Also moon is square Pluto in the first chart...really bad..also Venus is opposite Neptune in the second which is worse...bc at least a person could deal with their heavy feelings of attachment (moon and Pluto in bad aspect), but disillusionment is harder to bear (Neptune).

The one that wins then is the first chart. It also has more aspects than the second, and has more positive aspects (I think? I'm not sure, check for me). When checking out a composite Just make sure the moon and Venus have no squares or oppositions from Venus, Neptune, or Uranus, and that the chart has mostly positive aspects.

I've noticed sun-Venus oppositions create more chemistry than sun-Venus conjunctions, though, because even though they give the same feeling of love, the two people are more different from one another usually and have more complementary qualities, then, rather than just being extremely similar in every way.

Overall it just depends on how she feels about the person. Just know that with a LOT of aspects and an overwhelming amount of positive aspects over negative, and the sun conjunct mercury with mars and some other friendly planet like Venus Jupiter or Neptune for good measure, and you just can't go wrong. And sun-Venus is true love while moon-Venus is similar but more moody love.

My best friend and I have our suns, moons, and ascendants all square each other, but our composite is something like 13 positive aspects and 2 negative ones, Venus in the first and a sun-mercury-mars stellium and we talk everyday on the phone and hang out about 4 times a week. He's the most fun, loyal, and caring person I've ever known. And especially FUN
And with Venus in the first we were literally best friends right from the first time we talked to each other.

Just for fun

This is me and my best friend http://www.astro.com/cgi/showgif.cgi?lang=e&gif=astro_621gw_212_01_andres_my_chart.38237.3133.gif&res=100&va=&cid=0plfilePn0byx-u1139769330

And this is me and his brother...we went out for like, three weeks! Pwaha.. We were both very affectionate the entire time but we were indecisive about whether we liked each other enough to be in a relationship or to just be friends. But the attraction was right from the start and then later it withered away slowly

Now, here is the chart of my best friend and her boyfriend of five years. She said the first time she saw him she felt he was her soulmate and she ALSO wanted to rip his clothes off! I read somewhere once that composites with all the planets conjunct one another indicate soulmate relationships

Are they all conjunct one another? mercury venus mars are.

I have seen venus conjunct mars on a few long-term composites.

But then again, you gotta watch out for those pesky saturns neptunes and uranuses!! They can dampen even the nicest thing...and Pluto too! That's what happened with my best guy friend's brother and me...what had that Saturn and Pluto getting in the way.

Check out these two people..one a guy who had a crush on me but I didn't like him back and who I felt was boring and uninspiring and the other a girl who I felt bored and "blah" about

RunAroundScreaming-
wow you are right on with some of your analysis! I actually started laughing because some of it was so true! I'll reveal the whole story later on, I'll see if more people want to play. Do you use houses in your analysis? What do you think of the moon and mars in the twelfth house for a composite?

Well, I just based it off of what I've personally felt from those aspects in my own relationships :P

I didn't look at the houses, no, not except for the 1st house. The house of the sun is pretty important..it points out the main theme of the relationship from my experience. Like, if it's in the 6th house, then you'll feel like you're unequals, like you always have to cater to that person and they don't fully appreciate you. But, sometimes if you find two people who are both just naturally givers, then it'll be a very nice relationship where both are willing to sacrifice and give almost anything for the other person. If it's in the 9th it feels like it's a student-teacher relationship...you both feel very happy and inspired around each other and one of you feels like you have some very important things to teach the other. If it's in the 10th then the relationship is extremely important to both of you, and just about becomes the most important one in your life. It goes on, but, like I dunno, I don't really like to look at houses too much because it gets too complicated. Just make sure to look at planets in the first and in the 7th. But the 1st house is the MOST important, even more important than where the sun is. Planets in the 1st especially show a very strong theme in the relationship, and it almost overpowers anything else the chart says about it.

Mars conjunct the moon to me is always a good aspect....it makes the two people more enthusiastic about being together, and it makes each person have a stronger emotional effect on the other. Sometimes that can be bad if you two argue a lot...but for closeness, this aspect is good. Anything in the 12th means stuff that you repress stuff and so it becomes an unconscious habit when you act it out. So, basically moon conjunct mars in the 12th would mean the couple has volatile emotions they don't like dealing with, and the moon in the 12th means one or both of them even is unconsciously (or in other words automatically acts like this without realizing it) inconsiderate towards the other person's feelings, which could mean lying to the other person without thinking it's a big deal, for example. Mars in the 12th means unconscious ego expression. You're not sure of what it is you want together..you're very indecisive together, but you're not exactly aware of this. You think you know what it is you want, but if one or both of u makes a demand and it is not met, hell breaks loose, because the ego is being repressed in the relationship and when a demand isn't met the person takes it personally. They both have to make sure they make clear what it is they want (and not be manipulative about it, or repress it) or else conflicts will arise. Indecision and dishonesty are likely to be problems, basically.

Since I was bored at work today, I compared each persons natal chart with their composites. I only took into consideration aspects with an orb of 2 degrees or less. I found a double whammy in the first chart with the aspect venus conjunct pluto, and venus conjunt saturn!

Chart 1
Zero degree conjunctions:
Composite MC conjunct girls Moon
Composite Venus conjunct girls Saturn. (this aspect is transiting as well because the girl is going through her saturn return)
Composite NN conjunct Guys mercury
Composite venus conjunct guys pluto

One degree conjunctions
Composite Pluto and IC conjunct girls Sun

2 degree conjunctions
composite venus conjunct guys NN
composite saturn conjunct girls ASC
Composite pluto conjunct guys moon
composite neptune conjunct guys DC

2nd chart only had 2nd degree conjunctions:
composite venus conjunct his Asc
composite Neptune conjunct his DC
composite chiron conjunct his chiron

So if we are looking at how the natal charts affect the composites chart one wins hands down with the number of conjunctions.
I wonder about the 2nd chart having composite chiron conjunct the guys chiron. Could this mean it brings pain?

lol runaround,

you're description analyses have always been fatalistic for me to read.

our composite venus opposes all 3 of the no no's you speak of.

we have Sun in the 5th house and moon trine venus, venus trine mars, mars trine moon (grand trine)

part of a kite where those 3 no no's oppose venus and sextile our mars and moon.

Well time to tell the story behind the two charts..
The guy was with the girl in the first chart, and left her to be with the girl in the second chart. I thought that the girl in the first chart was a much better person for him, however he didn't see it that way. I think that it was too many transiting saturn aspects both natally and in the composite that made the relationship too heavy. Perhaps when saturn moves on and isn't aspecting venus, they can come together again if both are interested.
Anyways, the neptune is really showing itself in the second chart. The guy is gushing about this girl. She seems nice, but I don't think it will be a long lasting relationship.
Thank you to all who played along and gave your opinons. I loved run's opinion on saturn conjunct mercury stalling the conversations in the first chart. Soo true!

I thinkit depends on how the individuals handle the energy. I have Moon square Saturn and Uranus in the composite with my current boyfriend and it hasn't been a problem. It has been messy in other relationships, however.

If I have to choose:
The 1st one, definitely.

Editing...
Now I see you posted the answer. Yep that Neptune is why I chose the first.
Good luck to them.

Unfortunately, from my experiences either the moon or venus being opposition/square Uranus, Neptune or Saturn takes a long time to take effect, whereas with sun square or opp Pluto or Saturn you notice right away that the relationship makes you feel like you're in chains and the other person makes u depressed (Saturn) or like someone is holding you down and trying to control and change you (Pluto). So those are usually dealbreajers right away in relationships for me even when we have other lovely aspects like sun-mercury-Venus stelliums.

Sun opp/square Neptune does take a while to notice, though. You realize eventually that you've been idealizing this person while they actually have a completely different view of the relationship and had no idea what you were thinking.
Sun square/opp mars also takes a while because one person feels irritated by everything you do but hides it, until eventually they feel it's enough.

Moon or Venus square/opp Neptune, Uranus, or Saturn takes a while to come out. Venus is easier to deal with...you can expres love in other ways, but when feelings (Moon) are hurt people turn illogical. Venus in bad aspect to Neptune means eventually this person will let you down (one or both of u really really idealizes the other, and tries to find a "savior" in them, it's very emotional and hurtful once u realize they're human too). Moon/Neptune is similar but nowhere near as bad from my experience. I guess it's because the moon and Neptune are friendly to each other. It mostly means you will try to nurture each other by one of u playing the victim and the other the savior. But there isn't much disillusionment bc the person trying to save the other is doing it consciously and with good intentions. That one isn't a dealbreaker, but it can be annoying when u cant get out of either the victim or saviour role. With moon/Uranus it just sucks because the person is just not around and you can barely hang out, but what hurts the most is the general instability on an emotional level--u never know where the relationship is going to turn next or how each person is going to act towards the other. Venus/uranus creates instability and makes a relationship keep going just because of that instability it has. It probably is just odd for u to be together, or u both try to fly in the face of conventionality, and lots of affairs have this aspect. Once the relationship becomes "normal" it dies, so u have to keep that element of creativity and unpredictability alive in it--as long as u do that ur fine. So that one isnt so bad either--it's fun to be unconventional together. With moon/Saturn it just plain sucks..you criticize each other's fears instead of trying to nurture each other...you act distant when you should be helpful, and you just feel lonely with each other, like you can't quite get into the other's skin.

Venus in negative aspect to saturn just means sometimes your instinct to be affectionate with that person...you want to express your affection and appreciation but it doesn't come as easy and smoothly as in some other relationships. This is not a big deal, though, bc just bc it's somewhat scary or weird for u to show it, it doesn't mean u feel anything less for that person.

Moon square Pluto sucks in my op. It means one of you feels way too dependent on the other person and wants to break away.

I'd imagine moon aspects suck the most since they are the emotions. And emotions are our basic needs.

So, to recap, it looks like the negative sun aspects and the negative moon aspects (specifically to Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune) and Venus in bad aspect to Neptune are the worst.

I should also point out that I've noticed that when I have Jupiter square Uranus in the composite with someone there is some very noticeable tension no matter how much we may like each other in other ways...we just never click and aren't able to get rid of that tension.

Sorry to get slightly off topic there lol.

So, I looked at the charts really carefully this time and chart 1 actually has more negative aspects than chart 2 because sun-mercury-Venus stelliums and sun-Venus opp mercury both have the same interpretation in a composite. I realized the reason why this guy wanted to be with the second chart is because chart 2 is actually the better choice because it has not only less negative aspects, but the qualities of the positive aspects it does have are stronger than those of the first chart. They involve more personal planets and also they have pluto and Neptune which are feminine sensitive planets and important in love. There are several things happening..like you said, you have sun conjunct Neptune which is very powerful, but then you have Venus opp Neptune which shows that someone is going to end up feeling disillusioned here. The other thing is in chart 1 you have sun square Pluto. This has always meant for me a lot of pain and it also means that one of you would not want to be in the relationship bc you feel abused and too pressured to change by the other person. There is mercury conjunct Saturn but no sun conjunct Saturn which is good, but there is that sun/Pluto. In the second chart you have sun and mercury square Saturn but no negative sun/Pluto aspect. Sun square Saturn is more bearable bc number one..it takes longer to show whereas with sun/Pluto I usually feel that right away...and sun/Saturn could also at the beginning of the relationship be confused with stability...whereas in the future u would just realize what u thought was stability is a very depressing and serious relationship where u have to make constant sacrifices to stay together. Often the two people have to wait a while before they can get together bc something is getting in the way. Also, chart 1 has that Jupiter square Uranus i mentioned earlier, which is really really annoying and means ego issues.
It's like you said...chart 2 has many nice aspects that would lure him in...while the bad aspects in this chart take a while to rear their ugly head. The very nice aspects that will lure him in are sun conjunct Neptune, and Venus the sun and mercury trine Pluto which are all great. Venus trine Pluto is also much nicer to deal with than Venus conjunct Pluto which can make u feel so attached that u become jealous and paranoid and it becomes kind of love/hate.

Chart 1 is actually more incompatible bc there are certain deeper problems they have to overcome first specifically with one trying to change and control the other too much, Jupiter square uranus (independence is more important than staying together) and mercury conjunct saturn (little effort to talk to each other).
Chart 2 is very nice because of the depth that Pluto and Neptune add but IF this guy realizes that despite the nice feelings, that he's been disillusioned..not just by the Venus/Neptune but by sun square Saturn (they even have mercury square Saturn too) which breaks hearts...he will maybe want to give girl number one another chance. BUT chart 1 now I realize is actually very draining because of the aforementioned and all the heavy Pluto energy.

However, I will say that neither of these charts are anything amazing either. He probably loves both of them, and Pluto is depth and chart 1 has aspects too intense with Pluto (all squares and conjunctions)...depth needs to be less draining...which is what tribes and sextiles do, they make it feel natural, effortless and therapeutic. That's what chart number 2 has, which is why he likes her more. But, he also has sun square Saturn and Venus opp Neptune there..which doesn't look good, but hey it can be overcome.

I realized that chart 1 is too draining. But even with chart 2 they need more Jupiter aspects, and just more aspects in general. He can do better. At least they don't have any negative aspect from Saturn and Uranus to the moon or Venus. That says a lot. This relationship can survive. My final verdict is that, number two is the better choice. Lol. There aren't enough indications that one of them would let the other down hard enough to break off the relationship just because of the Venus opp Neptune. The only thing to really deal with is sun square Saturn which could use some nice Jupiter aspects to lighten things up, but, hey you can't have it all.

Wow thanks Run for the in depth analysis!
I guess I can see that the relationship in the first one was very draining. But at least to one of them, it was VERY hard to break away from this relationship. It felt very fated and very karmic.. Anyways, since we are talking about my friends relationships, lol.. I thought I would post the composite of the first girl he was really in love with, and ended up breaking his heart. They were going to get married, but she left him for another woman. Aparently, this is common now, because I know a ton of guys this has happened to, weird...

So they have the WONDERFUL aspect of Sun square mars! lol jk on the wonderful part.. But I'm wondering if venus opposite Chiron had anything to do with this. I didn't know him when they were together so I couldn't tell you how they were together. But he still isn't over her even though this happened a couple of years ago. Thats why I thought the first composite relationship was better for him because she really understood this part about him, and still loved him anyways. She was definitely marriage material. Unfortunately he didn't see it that way.

Well, I have a lot of good experiences with Venus trine Jupiter in the composite. I always felt like these friendships energized me, I had tons of fun, and I could truly be myself with these people and they felt the same. Sun square Jupiter is another nice one, where both people feel like they can take on anything together and feel very energized by each other. Though they may try to do too much at once, they do follow through with plans and they never grow pessimistic. This looks like a very fun relationship, and with sun conjunct mercury they were close without being emotional and irrational.

And, of course, there u have that dreaded sun square mars which takes a long time to rear it's ugly head. Mercury square mars u would notice right away, and it would mean that something about the way the other talked just made you MAD. and sometimes they really had the ability of making u angry about nothing. It's more their ability to make u mad than the fact that they said or did anything that was a big deal. But that aspect can be stimulating and can "wake you up" and keep u interested in the conversation similar to "mercury conjunct mars". It has it's good and bad things, so it's not all bad. I blame sun square mars for the breakup. I've had that aspect ruin for me even sun- mercury-Venus stellium friendships where we really cared about each other. And yes, it takes a very long time to show up...eventually one of the people feels that the other person is threatening their ego or self-esteem (the sun and mars) and probably ends the relationship right when the other person shows that they are trying to control the relationship in the slightest way, or even if they doubt the relationship in the slightest they will perceive that as a threat to their ego.

Sucks, but anyway. They had a lot of fun together and it was very energetic due to the sun being conjunct mercury and mercury being square mars and the sun square Jupiter, and Venus being trine Jupiter. But too many squares is a lot with bot enough strong positive aspects, and that sun square mars probably was the breaking factor. But to be honest they didn't have that much that was special..there wasn't an overwhelming amount (or even any amount) of Neptune and Pluto aspects for depth, and there isn't any important planet in the first...there are no important stelliums, and Venus and the moon aren't heavily aspected.

I guess that goes to show you the power of Jupiter (fun and optimism). I had Venus trine Jupiter with someone and that and moon in the first were about the only positive things about the chart, but we had major fun together and felt totally at ease together and were best friend for 2 years, until that just wasn't enough and our differences eventually crept through. I have the same aspect and feeling with my current best friend...feeling like u can completely be urself around someone is a priceless feeling.
