Yep...I read Juan Revilla's article, and I totally agree with it. He is one of those astronomically oriented astrologers who has an understanding of orbital symbolism in Astrology.
He was referring to the osculating lunar apogee aka true lunar apogee which is also known as True Black Moon Lilith
what apogee means is when an object is at the farthest point of its orbit from the Earth
perigree means an object is at the nearest point of its orbit to the Earth
now from the Solar perspective
Aphelion means when an object is at its farthest point of its orbit from the Sun
Perihelion means an object is at the nearest point of its orbit to the Sun
The lunar apogee is basically lunar stuff. After all, it's based on the moon.
the lunar apogee is like shadow side of the moon
When Moon is at lunar apogee, the Moon appears to be at its smallest and dimmest
When Moon is at lunar perigree, the Moon appears to be at its largest and brightest
I have Sun conjunct/oppose the osculating lunar perigree/apogee axis with 22 minutes of arc
Of course, it means that my Sun is conjunct true Black Moon Lilith with 22 minutes of arc
I just think that it's just my having strong lunar traits but with more of shadow side
My Sun is trine Moon with 2'10 orb, and so I am strong in lunar energy any way.
I just have a problem with labeling the lunar apogee, Lilith. It takes away from the lunar symbolism.
from the solar perspective,
My Mercury is at its aphelion,
My Mercury is actually conjunct the Mercury Aphelion with 11 minutes of arc .......so when I was born, Mercury was at its most distant point from the Sun.
from the Earth's perspective,
My Mercury is at its apogree,
My Mercury is actually conjunct the Mercury apogee with 3 minutes of arc...........so when I was born, Mercury was at its most distant point from the Earth.
Maybe Mercury apogee,Mercury aphelion should be called Black Mercury with it being the shadow of Mercury
every object has a perigree/apogee axis and perihelion/aphelion axis
so I guess these would be referred to as black objects
It's astronomy
With this in mind, that's why I don't like referring to lunar apogee as Lilith and don't use it with houses and signs
I don't like the term, black moon
I agree with your view about Lilith aka Black Moon as the shadow side of the Moon.
If people knew the astronomy of it, they would understand that it is the shadow of the moon because it's the lunar apogee.
It's like the Mercury apogee and Mercury aphelion are the shadow of Mercury.
My Mercury being conjunct apogee and aphelion in the Geocentric and Heliocentric charts. Therefore my thinking, communications, have a shadow quality to it. It could like a retrograde Mercury in a way. It's a different way of thinking, communicating, and processing information. It's nonlinear. It's subtle. It's introspective. It's nonconforming.
Contesting that Lilith is not the shadow of the Moon makes no sense because black moon lilith is the lunar apogee.
They ignore the astronomy.
