My sister and I were talking about favorite books, and it raised a question....what are the essential classic stories that suit each sign? This is based off an earlier thread about books for Scorpios. For example, I'm an Aquarius. I'm currently reading Atlas Shrugged, which I love, and it seems like a very Uranian book to me. (Perhaps because Ayn Rand was Aqua too) My sister is a Cancer Sun Libra ASC, and she says one of her favorite books is To Kill A Mockingbird. "It's nostalgic, which my Cancer loves, and there's justice for my Libra." So....let's get a list going of essential reading by sign! IP: Logged |

Ayn Rand SUCKS. BLEGH.I mean I've never read anything by her, I just don't agree with her philosophy lol. Last really good book I've read (besides Harry Potter) is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I'm an Aqua Sun, Libra Moon (also like To Kill a Mocking Bird). IP: Logged |

When I think of books for Aquarius I think of science fiction, specifically, For Scorpio I think of epics that are drawn out, intense, and precisely rendered by their author, like that scalpel the Scorpio surgeon would use to take out the root of the disease, it tells truths so plainly yet you're left gobsmacked. For Sagittarius this one examines religion in its blessings and curses, As a Pisces with an Earth Moon this is my favorite book, as it has such poetic phrasing, it is so unique in that sense, you have to read it to experience it, just for the phrasing, even if you don't agree with her p.o.v. It's beautiful, I love this book for Libra, but it's a non-fiction, as it examines gender identity first-hand, which is so ingenious..definitely for a Libran whose Sun is conj Uranus at least, A classic non-fiction for Aquarius is, IP: Logged |

I'm a Sag and I love the following; True Crime Bio-drama (Cobra event, anything biology / virus related like Michael Crichton- Andromeda Strain, Next, A Case of Need and a couple by Ken Follet). Mystery / Suspense- Patricia Cornwell And of course- Vampire / Witch novels- Anne Rice, Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison and a couple of others. I also love certain autobiographies and classics. I will read anything on different cultures and often google the crap out of stuff to find out any information that I can. I just love reading and learning. When I was a kid, I read encylopedias LOL.. Nice topic. Hmmm....Sag here, and I too love Anne Rice. I also love autobiographies. And biographies. Trouble with biographies is you never know how much is true. For example, I love the book 'Helter Skelter', but it was written by the prosecuter of the Manson case, so of course it's going to be skewed. I also love the biography of Jim Morrison, 'No One Here Gets Out Alive'. I believe that some years after it was written Ray Manzerek wrote another one because he said that much of that one was untrue. I also like Wally Lamb ALOT. As far as guessing what other signs would read, I have no idea! IP: Logged |

I just re-opened my catalogue. I can't really remember my fave books, but I had some rated 5 stars at the time of reading. I found the theme to be especially fitting for Libra (my sign).Brida - Paulo Coelho; talks about relationships & spirituality - I'm a Libra with Sag influences planet & house wise Veronika Decides to Die - Paulo Coelho; again, relationship features strongly, this time with depression (which often hits fall babies) and how relationships ultimately transform (my scorpio placements LOVE it) Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde; textbook Libra description Man's search for Meaning - Viktor Frankl; Truth, justice and coping.
