Please talk about a prominent Eros in your chart or someone you know.
What does it look like in a real world sense.
Thanks so much.

I just read that Eros conjunct the ASC makes a very charming person with an openness that allows others to relax in this person's presence.

my partner has that placement. and that really suits him yes. he's also very sexually natural. nothing is crazy with him and that's very nice.

to add to it, his ability to make me feel "relaxed" in his presence was immediately apparent and it was a totally new sensation to me. i had never experienced anything like it with other people. i felt a very strange (not necessarily romantic or sexual) attraction. it was magnetic, but very very calming. many other people react similarly to his charm.

I've been meaning to investigate this myself because I have Eros conjunct my Sag Sun in the 8th. I found this quick little thing-

Eros represents sexual objectification, passion and desire, and creativity. When Eros is prominent in the chart like Eros conjunct with the Ascendant, or if it conjuncts the Sun, Moon, Venus, or Mars), Eros themes are strong in the individual's life. Often, the individual oozes with sexual energy. The mind is often focused on sex and infatuation.

The last bit about being focused on sex and infatuation is certainly true. I was aware of sexuality in myself from a very young age and always intrigued by it. I've read that people with prominent Eros are promiscuous but that's not true for me, maybe because mine is placed in the 8th- I haven't had a lot of partners and prefer deeper involvements. I just can't wrap my head around casual sex, if I don't feel a deep connection it's pointless to me. My Mars is also in Scorpio in the 7th so that probably encourages that feeling in me.

I know for a woman, the Sun can also represent the men in her life, including the father. My father is very charismatic, gets hit on a lot, his whole life. Every guy I've ever dated has been like that too- very "in demand" guys. I get hit on a lot too, mostly to my discomfort though. I know there is a sexual vibe to my Sun energy, even my parents noticed this when I was younger, before I even was aware of what it means to give off that kind of vibe! But I see it as kind of ingrained in me and not really directed outward, if that makes sense. For example, I often dress tight clothes and rarely leave the house without at least a little make up on but it's for me- I like to look good for myself. I also have Venus and Neptune at my MC which probably enhances that. The thing is, that stuff tends to lead to a lot of misunderstandings with men- I've noticed many men I meet automatically assume I am "game" and start to lay it on pretty thick within minutes of meeting me. Friendliness and just being myself in social situations gets misunderstood a lot too-I guess this is to be expected, but I've had some issues in the past with unwanted attention and even assault which I can't help but think has something to do with that this Eros placement.

My eros is in my 1st house and way out of bounds by declination. It's also opposite my mercury and opposite venus. I can't say I'm oozing with sex appeal or that I have in any way a tendendcy to be promiscuous, on the contrary.... But I have been told that I have a certain grace about me and people have often commented on how comfortable they feel in my presence (when we are talking one on one). But that could also be just my cancer ascendant or the fact that I have three planets in my 7th house, so I'm naturally inclined to (want to) make others around me feel comfortable. So bottom line, from my eros placement I would guess, yes, I have a strong eros placement, but I can't really say that it has translated into a strong sex appeal, but more of a gentle charm. I guess that strong yet toned down eros might also have to do with the fact that eros is in the same sign as my saturn and that saturn is by far the strongest planet in my chart...Oh and yes there is definitely and has always been present a strong tendency to infatuations..

I have Pisces Eros conjunct the Asc.. Its in my 12th but 3orbs from my asc..

I think men see me, as a highly sexual person.. (but hey I have a Leo mars, so who could disagree..lol)

Only I think what they see is over exaggerated.. But thats Neptune for ya!

i have often felt (no ones said it) but I have gotten the impression, that some men feel they would be able to keep up with me, or keep my satisfied.. Thats what I mean about the overly exaggerated...

Ohhh to be so sexy is such torture for this lionesss... (putting hand on forehead) lol

I knew someone with Eros directly on his MC and he had the tendency to desperately want to be sexy to women, but he was just so.. adorable otherwise, and his facade was just that. And still continues to be, really. He had a lot of magnetism though, but I would account that to his Moon conjunct Venus (1 orb)

Maybe we should see eros as instinctual desire for life,as opposed to thanathos. I can even remember that there are 6 forms, interpretations of eros...

This is on Cafe Astrology http://www.cafeastrology.com/sexualastrologyeros.html

Eros in Love.

Eros represents our awareness of our mortality. Because we know we are going to die, we continually recreate feelings (confirmation, if you will) of our own vitality. We can so do in a Leonine way—for example, through romance, bearing children, and creativity. Eros love is very self-centered. Eros is, indeed, turned on by the idea that they are arousing someone else, but this kind of "feedback" is very much used to feed our own need to feel alive and vital.

My Eros is in Pisces

Eros in Pisces. ( in )There is a chameleon in this position of Eros, as these lovers are very adaptable to their partner. This is not to say these lovers don't have sexual preferences or possess a strong identity. Instead, the Pisces compassion, and ability to understand and accept virtually every color of the rainbow shows through in a sexual/romantic way. They tend to be most comfortable and at ease when their partner is expressing him or herself confidently.

This position also suggests a passion for Pisces-ruled subjects.
LMAO...ROFL... Isnt that the truth!

Damn, so that is why I don't have a specific "type" I'm attracted to...

In my chart:

EROS conj JUPITER (3 degree orb)

EROS sextile SUN (2 degrees)

EROS sextile MERCURY & MC (the exact-by-degree aspect, so I usually count this one as the ONLY actual aspect with EROS)

EROS square SATURN (this is the second one that is only 1 degree orb, so it could be other real EROS aspect)

EROS square CHIRON (2 degrees)

EROS semisquare ASC (1 degree)

EDIT: Oh, forgot the other exact one...EROS sextile APHRODITE

I have Eros, Psyche, Mars and Venus in Pisces... My Venus and Mars are both at 29degrees. Most sites Ive read said the 29th degree makes a sign stronger although some people say you get some traitsfromthe next sign. What do you guys think?

Natal Eros is in Aries in the 4th house and sextile Venus in the 7th house. I can't say I've ever understood Eros in my own natal, I've got a high sex drive, and it doesn't take much to get me aroused, then again I'm all fire. And thanks to many days doing 3rd chakra healing my self-confidence has tripled.
