in my chart, my sun and mercury are in different signs. but my mars is in the same sign as my mercury, so its hard for me to diffrientiette how much of my ways of opinion or views are influenced by that mars or if its all just mercury.

i see mercury as like the processor of information. it processes for us, how we understand things.. it also explains how we communicate.

mercury alone,to a degree possibly ( can't tell if its part of my mars or not) has some influence on opinions. but im going to theorize that mercury is really How but not what.

perhaps my Mars is what.

i think planets such as the MOON & SUN, VENUS, MARS and ASC forumlate our OPINIONS, FEELINGS, VALUES etc. and any planets aspecting these or eachother, flavour that planets feelings.

e.g. my moon square saturn.

what i think mercury does is just convey and communicates that to others, but also its our own internal processor, it analyizes ourselves and is the part of us that puts it together into a message to communicate.

so if my Moon in Aries square SAturn in Capricorn has an opinion on what we should strive to accumilate, and my Venus in Libra governs the values and rules of how we should get there, and my Mars in Virgo decides the best course of action,

my Mercury will putall this together and make it into an opinion or message to be communicated and conveyed to the outside world.

thats my theory.

so basically, if were in a topic that is discussing something, and it raises issues that speak for our character, it may be expressed with our moon, but Venus will be expressed because that reprsents our values. in another way, Venus is the Air version of Mars, its another part of hwo we think. (like mercury and uranus)
