I want to intimately understand what goes on inside their head...their typical life goals, the typical thing they will say first, how much of Linda Goodmans description of them in Sun Signs is true

their likes, their dislikes, good aspects about the sun, bad aspects about the sun

Nothing personal, but ALOT (not all of them, if any generalization police are reading!) of them are extremely arrogant, they are loud and way too aggressive.
To me, Aries typifies the Alpha male, and while there isn't anything really wrong with the alpha male, the thing about being an alpha male is that you shouldn't have to go around announcing that you are one.
If you are one, it should be obvious.
Aries doesn't do subtle.

They are often impatient, and say hurtful things when they get irritated, and then feel terrible afterwards.
While you may still be stung by it, they have moved on to another subject and have no ill feelings toward you.
Kinda like Saggies, only Aries does it on purpose, out of their quick temper, whereas Sag's generally muse out loud and don't realize what they say can be hurtful, when they find out they are mortified.

Never shoot pool or darts with an Aries.
They are great sportsmans, but terrible losers, and tend to sulk.

That's hilarious, because from an Aries standpoint I've thought the SAME thing about Saggies! The hurtful intentional stuff, while I thought to myself, "Well, I MAY do that, but not intentionally, and I FEEL bad afterwards..." Hahaha.

I think secretly, Aries and Sag give each other a run for their money "emotionally" because they have similar approach. Ha.

What goes on in our heads? Everything. We're very attached to our egos, and it's important to feel valued from the ones we love. But, we need battles to fight,things to change and discover otherwise... frustration sets in...

Other secrets about Aries? Honestly? I think we can be just as vengeful as Scorpio, and then some (if hurt badly enough). We may not be "superficially" emotional people, but often times get floored by our vulnerabilities.

My relationships with Scorpio influences have been difficult mainly because Scorpio plays for keeps and intends to like plumb your soul and keep it trapped, forever.

That's at least the kind of love I've felt with Scorpio, that they know you so well and love you so much, so intimately, that it eats away at the core.

I am not quick to temper. Most people say I am very "zen" and have the patience of a saint. It's extremely rare for me to hurt someone's feelings unless they attack me first in a big way.

I guess I'm not a typical Aries in that way.

But, yes, I am a loyal friend. I have a handful of wonderful friends that are friends for life even if we don't talk for months at a time.

I am not particularly social. Sure, I like to go out sometimes but I am an extremely shy person so going to a party or something if I don't know anyone is daunting (unless I have two drinks in which case I will talk to everyone and everything).

Something in my chart creates a dichotomy in me. I can say all this but it all really depends on the day and my mood. I used to be a goth and very brash. I do enjoy breaking at least some rules and challenging the status quo.

And then some days I want to blend in and be invisible.

2 of my best friends hardcore embodies all the typical Arian traits. I think cuz they both have Aries Sun conj Mercury. They're both very much alike too, even though one's a guy, the other a girl.

Aries Girl: She's a real go-getter. I'd say she's more ambitious than most of my other friends. She became a senior financial analyst at a huge corporate company by age 24. She loves attention & always strives to be the center of the party. I think those are all great qualities, but she's waaaay too brash & crude. She's a first class hustler & it's worked well for her in the corporate world. However it comes off distasteful & lacks any diplomacy or tact. Even her love life, she's not afraid or ashamed to chase guys. She's always looking for fast ways to make money, and half the time, actually succeeds from hustling. However her ideas (to me) 85% of the time lacks any solidity...& due to her spontaneous, impatient nature, instead backfires and loses her $10-50K at a pop. Infact, she always relied on me as her Biz advisor (we started a biz together right out of school), but she never seemed to take the advice. When her ideas imploded on her, she'd come back saying she should've listened, but oddly nextime, does the same thing over again!! That one trait, I do NOT understand. I bailed on the biz after it started doing really well, because I had to pursue my own path in film. Most of all I bailed because I couldnt stand working with her kind of logic (lack of), it was killing our friendship. Anyways we get along great as friends, but I learnt, working together with an Aries is a nightmare. They're often too stubborn to take any advice, OR so quick to action before you could even give your 2 cents. By the time you do, things have already crashed & burnt.

Aries Guy: He's a very intelligent go-getter guy like Aries girl, & works in Biz Marketing. However like Aries girl, I consider him very smart & dumb at the same time. The dumb coming from consistent crash'n burns from leaping into action before thoroughly thinking things through. He definitely makes a great sales man in marketing cuz of his hardcore hustling skills. He hustles the ladies too & as a result gets many girls. I call him a spotlight wh0r3 , & he loves it. They're fun to be around at parties. Both Aries girl & guy are sooOO emotional!! Explosive tempers & seem to suffer from PMS all the time. That's another thing I dont like.

In conclusion, I do think Aries has quite a few good traits BUT really needs to be balanced out by other aspects or else it becomes a very bad thing. I would say they are definitely the military leaders with the balls to charge into the front lines of a battle. However those usually get slaughtered first. I dont see them as the King sitting on the throne. They lack the calm & cool to successfully rule as a power on the throne. They dont seem to have the patience or logic to establish solid practical ideas of structure. (This is referring to people who're big time overly Arian). I would never hire one as CEO, but I think they make great Managers & Supervisors in the Marketing Sector (anything hustling related).

I agree with that Aries women (and some men) are like most of us fire signs in that we are not "always" out there. In fact, many of us do spend a lot of time in our heads or home. I think the expectation is that all fire signs are the "life of the party" when in fact, we choose when to be "on" and when to be "off". When we are "on" we have a wonderful time, but in reality that is only a small part of who we are.

I have found that more home bodies are fire signs than people would care to believe. I have also found many earth signs tend to be more social that people would believe LOL...

Hee hee.. I know this from experience. Both hubby (Leo) and I (Sag) are homebodies but we do love to get out and socialize from time to time. However, we really like just being home, watching movies, making dinner and being with each other. We never run out of things to talk about and we also play goofy board games (we have an ongoing challenge in the game of "Life- twists and turns". It has been more than 2 years and we are still keeping track of our points to determine the ultimate champion of the game. LOL..

Aahh... Without a doubt, I've got the flash temper thing. I'll fly off the handle, but in two seconds, I'm done. Then I sit there wondering why everyone took me so seriously. Sometimes I do like to have a bit of verbal sparring, and I won't back down from a fight. In fact, I was once attacked walking to school by a guy with a knife. I screamed and hit him in the face over and over. Someone from across the street heard me yelling, and came running over. The guy got away, but I wasn't physically injured.

I'm a cursed go-getter. I've been in and out of so many careers and jobs, that my resume is a mess. Can't help it though. I just get way too bored with a job, and have to find a new challenge. This has bit me hard, and I'm struggling now work-wise.

Also suffer from "Open Mouth, Insert Foot Syndrome." I always manage to say the wrong thing to the wrong boss. This has landed me in heaps of trouble. Most of the time I'm not even aware I'm doing it, but sometimes I just can't stand it, and have to speak truth to power. I'm lousy with schmoozing and kissing you-know-what to higher ups. Just too direct for my own good.

I am also a big homebody, but I do have Taurus rising, and Jupiter in Taurus. It's a real chore for me to have to put myself out there. I hear that's part of the whole Mars in the 12th thing. Just don't like to be the center of attention at all.

Never feels that way with an aries. I'm a cancer. We're pretty similar in that we both want what we want, and we like being number one. What i like is that we understand this about each other and we act as equals rather than anyone trying to get an upper hand. Friendships with aries and libra have always felt the most EQUAL to me. And that's really great. What i like is that they always put in as much effort passion and enthusiasm as i do. These two signs, esp aries love life as much as i do! You know?

Ok, Aries Sun here with a Saggie Ascendant.
I honestly don't know where the Sun stops and the Ascendant begins because they are so similar but... Aries can and will be pushier and more impatient. That's not a trait I like so I don't use it a lot but it's there.
Aries women are also (usually) Alpha Females, I know we asign it to the men because Aries is a masculine sign but many an Aries woman will trump an Aries Man.
