Hey everyone,

So far I've learned that the seventh house plays a role in determining the characteristics of our marriage partner.

I was under the impression that I did't have planets in my seventh house and my taurus on the cusp of seventh basically described my future marriage partner. So this sounded good for me - being the cancer girl that I am, a stable, loyal and loving partner sounded like a dream. Then I went to a website to get a natal reading. The program placed Chiron my seventh house.

From CafeAstro:
Chiron in the Seventh House

Chiron is associated with the emotional wounds we receive early on in our lives. The sign Chiron is in will dominate but the house placing will show in which area the personality is motivated and into which they will put their efforts. In the seventh house, it may indicate a feeling of rejection to do with relationships, maybe the parents split-up or were distant with each other. You may marry early and there may be more than one marriage or close relationship. You are quite empathic and even psychic. There is a need for finding a balance between you and your partner - you are not one person. Find your 'self'.

Not exactly the most encouraging planet in the seventh house... Great for others but harsh on me. And yet, it characterizes many of the close relationships I've had in my life. I've been wounded many times.

I'm wondering if I can still marry well (in terms of emotional compatibility) with the Chiron in the seventh. I've always been told that I'll marry extremely well. Until recently I figured it was because I have taurus on the cusp of seventh. Do you think I have a chiron in seventh? My DOB is July 15, 1987, 5:00PM in Windsor, ON. If I do, do you think the chiron in seventh will negate the taurus on the cusp?

I really hope things will work themselves out. I've always struggled with relationships and the prospect of marrying well always seemed like a light at the end of the tunnel. Hope it isn't going to be taken away from me.

Looking forward to hearing back from you,
Cecile

I'd like to meet the person who has yet to be hurt by a love relationship. Those are few and far between, and extremely lucky.

Chiron offers a chance for healing, as well. Chiron is the wounded HEALER. Maybe you find healing through your marriage partner.

I just looked at your chart, and Chiron is at the end of your 7th, some astrologers would even say that it's in your 8th. I wouldn't worry so much about it.

Oh for sure. I definitely agree with you. I just have a big pattern of being hurt in friendships. Maybe that doesn't sound so unusual. But recently I've noticed I attract friends that reflect my transits or emotional state (which is a Chiron trait). For example I attracted really great friends last year even though I didn't really have great expectations about the program and even though the program was really small. I just came out of a bad period and had comparably great transits. This year I'm in a much bigger program and I definitely started with a better attitude. On a superficial level, I have decent friends, but the person I'm "closest" to, I can't stand half of the time. I do my best to treat her well, and I do a ton of nice things for her, but I have a hard time standing her because she's so obnoxious and abrasive. From last year to this year, I've picked up two nasty Pluto transits: Pluto conjunct Neptune and Pluto opposition Mercury. I'm doing what I can but it's like I'm fighting an uphill battle. It's definitely not fun. I'll do my best to learn the lessons of Chiron but its definitely not something I want to deal with in a big way in marriage. It's making me wonder if I'll be able to marry as well as I told I would.

Anyways, I think I've at least partially been experiencing Chiron in seventh. I know a lot of people don't even look at asteroids... Is there anyway to tell if the chiron house ruler would win out over the taurus on the cusp? Could both play a role?

I have chiron in my 7th in gemini and taurus.

I don't know what the signs in my seventh show, but I definitely can say I've faced a lot of relationship issues from family to friends to romantic r/s to colleagues.

Yes, to others I give really thoughtful, practical and sound advice. Yet for myself, I feel as though I know what I should do, but my heart strings are pulled, and I do differently. The worst things is every single person I have trusted has always let me down in my moment of need.

After all this I feel like I'm damages goods...As though, maybe I'm not meant for r/s and maybe I'm supposed to learn to be the one woman army :P. I simply cannot rely on anyone to be there for me and til date I have not. I don't even have people that will defend me which is sad because I come to everyone else's aid.

Ugh my dang pity party! I hate when I do this too lol. Cry me a river huh?

I guess I'm delaying marriage and stuff because to me that's my last hope. Don't know if I can take my marriage souring, then again maybe that's what I'm meant to experience. Who knows?
