Maybe you are confused because it is the only constellation depicted as an actual man? We have been waiting for Ophicius...knew this was coming...the 13th tribe.. A very good friend of ours, and my daughter-in-law both change to Ophicius...this is why I have always felt as if Sidereal plays an important role...my bf and I both have Ophicius in our charts...his ASC, and me I don't remember off hand lol...I have it amongst my notes somewhere...have you seen this link? It seems pretty informative... http://gelageo.com/ophiuchus.aspx IP: Logged |

?? Can you re-word this so it's a bit clearer? It's attributed to one person, Ophiuchus. Same as Virgo is "The Virgin" or Taurus is "The Bull"... Not that only one human being will be an Ophiuchus sign... heck the guy in the next room from me just became one, lol. IP: Logged |

Ophiuchus only comes into play when you use the Galactic Zodiac, and neither Vedic nor Western Astrology uses that Zodiac. And NO ONE HAS BECOME ANYTHING. NO. ONE. This is a western astrology based forum (maybe there are a few posts about Vedic Astrology) therefore, we all use the Tropical Zodiac. There hasn't been any changes whatsoever to the tropical zodiac. EVERYONE IS STILL THE SAME. IP: Logged |

please keep in mind that Sidereal Zodiac isn't the same as
I notice people keep thinking that Sidereal Zodiac and the constellation Zodiac are one and the same.
Big difference is that the Sidereal Zodiac is a zodiac that consist of 12 equal signs against the backdrop of the stars The Constellation Zodiac has 13 uneven constellations on the ecliptic Sidereal Astrologers often preach about how their zodiac is the true representation of the actual zodiac because they say that it's based on the constellations. That misleads people into thinking that Sidereal zodiac and Constellations zodiac are one and the same.
My Sun is in sidereal Libra, but it is in the Virgo constellation ------------------ No..I am not a Virgo. Developmental Neurodiversity Association facebook group. http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=131944976821905&ref=ts IP: Logged |

the healer (original serpent bearer), Asclepius was half mortal half god and apparently Zeus killed him because of un-equal balance - healing all sick and sundry i guess no one was learning anything for themselves but the balance again is the sage of our times...i do feel someone or something is awakening/returning to earth vibration to assist transition of consciousness.., the paradox of beginning and end of the seperation and unification into the Source (True Creator)also maybe referring to not 12 tribes but 13... ...that 13 humm is so getting so loud now its sending ripples right through the reality matrix. but thats just one lost souls opinion. Zeus killed Asclepius for raising people from the dead that resulted in Hades was complaining about losing souls in his Underworld kingdom. Therefore, Zeus killed him with one of his thunderbolts. Of course, Apollo (Asclepius' father) was furious and so took his revenge by killing the 3 Cyclops that make Zeus' thunderbolts. Zeus thought about killing Apollo, but Leto (Apollo's mother) begged Zeus to spare his life. Zeus punished Apollo by making him serve a mortal for a year, and that mortal was King Admetus of Pherae in Thessaly.
Asclepius' mother was Coronis who was shot dead with an arrow by Apollo for cheating on him. Apollo saved his unborn son. Then he ended up giving him to Chiron. In the end, Asclepius, being the son of the God of Healing, surpassed his teacher as a healer. ------------------ No..I am not a Virgo. OphiuchusOphiuchus is a large constellation located around the celestial equator. Its name is Greek (Ὀφιοῦχος ) for 'serpent-bearer', and it is commonly represented as a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. Ophiuchus was one of the 48 constellations listed by the second-century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations. It was formerly referred to as Serpentarius English pronunciation: /ˌsɜrpənˈtɛəriəs/, a Latin word meaning the same as its current name. >>> DAILY MAIL January 15th, 2011 Page 5‘Ophiuchus, 13th Sign of the zodiac’ From Daniel Bates In New York ‘IF YOUR horoscope has never seemed tally with your life, there may be a good reason - It could be out of date. Astronomers have called for the zodiac signs to be over-hauled because they are no longer accurate. The ancient Babylonians based zodiac signs on the constellation the sun was ‘in’ on the day a person was born. But the moon’s gravitational pull has since shifted the Earth on its axis and created a one-month shift in the stars’ alignment Astronomers want to move all the star signs back one month and squeeze in a 13th sign, Ophiuchus, to help read just the zodiac calendar. The change will come as a shock to many who will discover they have been reading wrong star signs their entire lives. Those under dominant and creative Leo could become a Cancer, which supposedly means they are moody and sensitive, while a passionate Scorpio could become a more diplomatic and balanced Libra. One woman wrote on an astrology website: ‘Oh great. I have a scorpion tattooed on my shoulder and now I’m a Libra!’ The change was suggested by American Parke Kunkie, but Daily Mail astrologer Jonathen Cainer says it’s the work of a ‘jealous astronomer’. He said: “The Earth has moved but astrologers have not for years based on their predictions on the constellations. This is either wilfully ignorant or mischievous and malevolent and shows that the scientific community reacts in a bigoted way when faced with mysticism. This is a load of nonsense.” ‘ ‘HOW YOUR STARS WOULD CHANGE’
