Hi everyone, I've just finished an article on Eris on my new blog, I'm going to try hard to add regular updates on the things I am working on and the transits that are occuring.Because Eris is still relatively new there is still confusion as to what role she plays and how to interpret her in the natal chart. This article is not a cook book explanation but some thoughts on the mythic bathground. http://apolloandthelycan.blogspot.com/ IP: Logged |

Thumbs up! I loved it! It is also very similar to how I think about Eris! In my own chart:
Eris in 12'15 Aries R in 8th conjunct Chiron in 10'30 Aries R in 8th oppose Uranus in 15'17 Libra in 2nd trine Geocentric South Uranus Node in 12'04 Sagittarius in 4th trine/sextile Heliocentric Neptune Nodes in 11'28 Leo/Aquarius in 11th/5th trine Ceres in 13'57 Leo in 11th sextile/trine Midheaven/Imum Coeli in 11'14 Gemini/Sagittarius sextile/trine Lunar Nodes in 10'30 Aquarius/Leo in 5th/11th trine/sextile Antivertex/Vertex in 14'58 Leo/Aquarius biquintile Mercury - '06 in Right Ascension: Eris in 19'32 R quincunx Haumea in 20'15 Virgo quincunx Venus in 19'22 Scorpio semisquare Moon - '08
Sun in 5'20 Scorpio in 2nd Ixion in 5'25 Scorpio in 2nd True Black Moon Lilith in 5'42 Scorpio in 2nd conjunct Geocentric South Eris Node in 5'29 Scorpio in 2nd oppose Geocentric North Eris Node in 5'30 Taurus in 8th oppose/conjunct Heliocentric Eris Nodes in 5'30 Taurus/Scorpio in 8th/2nd ------------------ No..I am not a Virgo.

Thanks for reading it Glaucus, it's very much appreciated, especially as I know you do a lot of research. The more I look at it the more I think she may be getting unfairly treated which is ironic. IP: Logged |

That was a great read, thank you for further clarifying the role of Eris in a natal chart! I got interested in Eris, when I discovered it: conjuncts NN in 12th house (less than 1 degree), squares Sun (2 degree orb) , Mercury & MC (almost exact), trines Saturn (1 degree orb) & makes a sextile with Chiron (1 degree orb) makes a sesquiquadrate with Venus (exact). Also, it's interesting that you related Eris to single parenting...I always thought, if I ever decide to have kids (since I'm currently more for not having kids than otherwise) that I SHOULD be a single mother & raise my kid(s) alone, I feel like it's the right thing for me. I don't see myself in marriage & I never did... IP: Logged |

Thanks Chaos, It features strongly in Angelina Jolie's chart, conjuncts her moon, mars and Jupiter so I am pretty sure there is something in the connection to independent mothering, Mia farrow too has it conjunct her venus as well as a square, opposition to other planets, sextiles her mercury, trines her pluto... I have Eris at 9'41, conjunct Chaos at 9'11(how fitting lol), in my 2nd, both in retrograde, in a trine with Karma in SAG, also at 9'41, in my 11th... IP: Logged |
