How do these play out for you?

I have a Mars-Pluto conjunction at the end of the 6th, a few degrees away from my DSC. (out of sign though)

I am usually very passive and complacent but I seem to become dominating/controlling/direct when it comes to relationships..(but not too much experience here, I'm a late bloomer lol). It's weird for me, because that's SO not me. I always thought I would get stepped on or something.. when in fact I'm the one who becomes demanding.
And I do tend to attract intense/secretive/aggressive types, to make things easier

I have mars exactly conjunct the descendant and I love aggressive pmsy type men. Normally I'm extremely passive in all relationships but the people I get closest to I can be more aggressive with and subconciouslly it's kind of a hallmark of a more intimate relationship (historically speaking). I can't help it.. There's a balance to it too however. If the guy is too pmsy i'm long gone and I'm really hard on myself if I hurt someone in any way.

I do relish interpersonal relationships where I can get my anger out. My best friend and the person I've felt the closest to had mars sq mars and pluto sq mars and otherwise amazing synastry (friendship-wise). Most of our relationship was about being able to get out our negative emotions and accept eachother 100% for it. We had a very loving relationship based on provocation and acceptance. Of course that wasn't all of the relationship, but I'd say it was a very important part of it. Mars conjunction dsc here.
I read somewhere on net that it could mean attracting people who one has to disagree with.
It happened to me oh,so many times.
But i became friends with them.
What is quite obvious with dsc mars is my fire predominance. One who meets me knows right away i am something firey
As for men... I have always attracted strong-willed men. I like them that way but,while it is still intense and hard to pin down as what kind of relationship it is,i demand harmony. And those boys would always state how twofaced i am!

I've never had strong Neptune contacts in synastry.. and I'm not that neptunian either. One "friend" had a few planets squaring my Neptune (and Uranus) and he deceived me a lot. First it seemed so perfect, dreamlike, but then.. BAM! reality struck. He ended up ignoring me.
I am so not psychic. I'd like to be, but I guess I'm way too analytical lol

Ahh well it was conjunction/trine. Square is a little more harsh. I've had the square before but usually I can get past the illusion elements. Usually I'm too paranoid that someone is going to backstab me for it to go too badly.. (I have 4 draconic planets in scorpio.. and I still test the #*($ out of people).

I have this conjunction not quite opposite my ascendant but in the 7th. AND its all in Scorpio. It drives me crazy. Like you guys mentioned, I'm pretty passive everywhere except my romantic relationships. I'm really into Scorpios, and I recently got involved with someone whose ASC is at the midpoint of my Mars/Pluto conjunction, so that my Mars is in his 12th and my Pluto is in his 1st. I can already see where I'm driving him really hard...I feel like I'm beating my head against a wall with him at any sign of reluctance or withdrawal on his part. Generally I've been attracted to Scorpio types- I've had a lot of experiences where I feel like I've brought out the worst of this conjunction in people- dominance, obsessiveness, possessiveness...it seems to oscillate between me expressing this in a kind of covert way (when I actually am interested in someone) because I am uncomfortable admitting to my own tendencies to do so, and others doing this to me.

Anyway, if anyone with this aspect has any insight into dealing with this aspect I'd love to hear it. I wish I could channel this energy more positively. So far the only thing that seems to do that is sex, but obviously we can't be boning all the time! I'm scared I'm going to scare this guy away, and I'd be so disappointed if that happened because I really care about him...he is a Scorpio with Scorpio rising so maybe he can understand where I'm coming from but I feel like his ASC at that midpoint is rough...

I wish I knew how to deal with all that energy really. If I'm not the one who becomes obsessive/possessive, then the other person will play out these traits. Sooo annoying. It's like you just can't have peace ! damn.

staborgi, The fact that he's a double Scorpio definitely helps, I'm sure. Scorpios are naturally more.. used to? that kind of energy. So don't worry too much if he really cares he'll understand, if not, he isn't worth your time.

SO my advice to you guys is, TALK things out with people. Whenever you feel like #%! is going on, just try to fix it straight away. (that's my Gem rising talking ! heh)

I'd be interested to hear what people's experiences with this aspect in synastry is- what aspects worked for you? what didn't? why? Also what do you need in a relationship to calm the waters? I'm young and still figuring this all out. i'm in love with someone but I don't know...this aspect drives me up the wall sometimes and I know it's going to be like this all my life and want to figure it out!

The boyfriend I'm trying very hard to break up with doesn't fight with me at all and vice versa. I'm not sure how it happened, but he lives near me and was somewhat persistant. Although he's told me he's competetive and I used to be, I never see that. It's a very calm relationship. Idk.. maybe I don't need someone to express anger for a cathartic release so much anymore. I feel like I'm owning an releasing my anger more maybe..

The sad thing is, I still feel very attracted to pmsy types. I looked into the future on my solar return charts and it looks like I'll be with someone abusive again in the future lol. After that, it's supposed to calm down. I think after a while you wise up a little and while you subconciously like that dynamic, you're like, thanks.. I'll pass.

I hear I'm supposed to be able to hold a decently long term relationship at some point which is impossible for me without this aspect, so I think it gets better. From the sounds of it, it'll be a good relationship.

I am young too and I've never been in a relationship yet. I've been too busy dealing with internal issues.
But of course I've been in love a few times.

I have just recently discovered how plutonian/martian I can be when it comes to romance (but I'm a Scorpio.. so that must help).

Anyway, I guess synastry wise, someone's planet hitting your Dsc and thus Mars and/or Pluto, must be deeply felt. It can surely trigger romantic feelings but also power struggles, the need to control, aggressiveness, suspicion, fear of losing, etc.. BUT it doesn't have to be that negative! in my opinion. You can channel that energy into positive ways. For example, you can stand up for your partner, help him/her with his/her struggles, etc. all the basic stuff about Pluto and Mars I guess.

mochai- that's kind of what I scared to hear! I've had abusive relationships in the past and am so scared that I'm only attracted to them somehow. I guess that's the case for you? But this relationship you're talking about now- does anything hit that 7th house placement from his chart?

Doux Reve- Same. It took me a long time to open up to relationships and then after I did it was so intense that I shut down again for years. Right now the person I'm talking about- His Scorpio ASC hits the midpoint of my Mars/Pluto in the 7th and his own Saturn/Pluto conjunction is conjunct my Mars. It's complicated though- that Saturn/Pluto is in the 12th- he has a hard time opening up and I feel like my Mars/Pluto might bludgeon him or something. I seem to want to target his inner struggles and I think he feels that but he's a double Scorpio and I can tell really wont stand to be dominated. When he lets his guard down it's great, especially for sex but I'm not so clear on the psychological undercurrents at play yet and how they will play out..I'm a little scared of someone's planets or angles hitting that spot to be honest! But I'm attracted nonetheless. I wonder too much Scorpio energy on my part versus his is just doomed to be a war? Maybe a passive sign is would like it more...In any case, it's too soon to tell, I guess I'll see but I'm just rambling now...

I have the chart of an abuse victim. I don't think this aspect alone means it'll be like that.

Here's the chart of the person who I'm kind of with (I'm technically trying to leave) We have a juno conj destinn and juno sq destinn.. mine being the afflicted one. We never fight and he's extremely sweet. I don't know his asc but the divination came up where it's at, and it's either sag or cap. The mars opp mars has a 5 degree orb and the mars sq saturn is 3. It's also came up several times that we probably have past lives together, just not sure how much (which is why I put the siva/parvati up there). This is also a guy who when it snows a lot will go out and spend all day shoveling people out. He frequently is helping friends and is always busy doing stuff to help people whether that's moving furniture or setting up a computer for an elderly lady. He is rarely negative about anyone. Also, we've technically been together since august, making it my 2nd longest continuous relationship.

I'm the opposite of this. I have Mars/Neptune on DC. I am pretty assertive in most of my daily interactions, although not in an aggressive or overdone way. But in relationships I am passive almost to an extreme. A relationship feels like a sauna or a spa to me... You relax, sipping on some strawberry champagne - and whatever happens - happens. Something good is bound to happen and Someone is bound to fall out of the sky..
If they do not - I can enjoy my own company happily.
Once they are there - again, I feel like I can relax and let them have their way with me and with our relationship.
If they do something seriously horrible that crosses the line for me... Then I leave. i don't usually talk much about it or try to sort things out. I can ignore small problems.. But if it's something major, I would simply disappear.

staborgi, Don't worry !! There is always free will. PLUS, you are actually aware of the dynamics. It's a great thing, because it gives you the opportunity to try to change things, improve them ! We are not slaves of universe, we have the power of awareness which gives us the possibility for change, at anytime My advice to you, is to let it be. Don't be anxious, don't try to force things, just relax and take care of yourself first. Try to not be too serious with your guy, I mean, make him laugh as much as you can, use humour whenever you can to lighten the atmosphere Good luck !

Betty Boop, I actually kind of relate to that. I have Mars parallel Neptune, and while it isn't as strong as Mars-Pluto on the Dsc, I can sometimes be very.. fatalistic? Like, going with the flow.
