In January I was not comfortable with the idea of Ophiuchus at all, especially since I fall into its time frame. I read about Ophiuchus and learned about its long tradition and felt more and more familiar with it. I kind of understand it now. Most of us agree and adhere to temporal definition of constellations, which will stick to the 12 sign system. Ophiuchus and the other Signs (there is apparently 22 of them) belong in the category (according to Rudhyar) of spatial measurement of constellation, how they appear in space and that would require a much more complicated computing system. The other reason why the idea of Ophiuchus may become more and more appealing is that our year divided in 12 months which is just not natural, considering thirteen lunar cycles of the moon, which constitute a year. So it’s still a pretty much developing issue… http://www.astroknowlogy.com/questions/have-you-heard-about-the-13th-sign http://www.astroknowlogy.com/questions/what-are-the-ophiuchus-personality-traits

Even before this hit the media, I read an article about it. And I just took it as 'okay it was a sign that got killed off.' lol I forgot how the story goes, the Scorpion stung him...?Chinese astrology also has a "killed off" zodiac sign the Cat. The rat pushed the cat in the water. Is Ophiuchus coming back with vengeance? Well it is at least haunting the Zodiac. That's for sure. IP: Logged |
