I was reading about this interesting technique for predicting romantic relationships. From: http://www.astrologyinserbia.com/en/index.php?option= com_content&view=article&id=16:uhvatiti-momka&catid=6:news&Itemid=33

It's supposed to predict whether you choose your significant other or they will choose you. The second part helps to predict how you will meet them and what their characteristics are.

Predicting whether your boyfriend/girlfriend will come to you, or whether you will come to them:

quote:

A boyfriend /girlfriend ( ruler of the 5th house ) chooses us ( in the 1st house) and comes to us first. The situation is quite different if the ruler of the 1st house is placed in the 5th house - we choose a boyfriend /girlfriend, take actions and look for a partner.

Technique for predicting how you'll meet your significant other what their characteristics will be

quote:

Who could he be?
Aquarius ( friend ) at the cusp of the 5th house ( boyfriend ), Venus ( love) in the 5th house in Aquarius ( friend ), ruler of 11th house ( friend ) the Sun in the 5th house ( boyfriend ), ruler of the 9th house ( university, fellow student ) Mercury in the 5th house, ruler of the 5th house ( boyfriend) Uranus in Sagittarius ( university ).
Conclusion: A FRIEND FROM UNIVERSITY! The problem was that at my university I only hung out with one girl and dozens of boys. I started to further analyse my horoscope.

What is my university friend like?
The ruler of my 5th house, Uranus, is in the 2nd house ( money ) conjunction South Node ( losses ). It implies that he will have money problems – and indeed, he even borrowed money from me ( ruler of the 5th house in the 2nd house – a boy who is after my property - sadly! ); in my 5th house there is Venus (someone kind, tactful, nice), Mercury conjunction Sun in Pisces – withdrawn and insecure ( Pisces ) but also proud, a bit aristocratic ( Sun ) and boastful ( Sun – to boast ).

Has anyone every heard of the technique or given it a try? Do you know if it works. Do you think you could try it on me? My DOB: is July 15th, 1987, 5PM, Toronto Ontario. I'm curious to see what it is says. I've given it a try but my astro skills are still very limited. If you could give it a shot, it would mean lot to me!

Can't wait to hear back from you!

Oh, this is very interesting! I remember reading something like this, but it was a bit vague.

I'm working on it right now, but think I may be over-analyzing a bit because there are connections all over the place. I may have found one similarity though. When Lara talks about the Moon linking with the Ascendant, it's with the 10th house and Venus with the Ascendant for me and my hopeful.

Where are the happily married or just plain in love people to back this up?!

I can't validate this. I have a leo asc with a 5th house sun (ruler of the ascendant) and if I chase after a guy, even in the slightest, they start running and I lack the persistance to pursue 98% of the time. All my boyfriends have come to me.

If you want to know how the theory would work for you, and your birth time is right, your asc ruler is the moon and in the 1st house. Technically they should come to you.

As for my case, I do well with aries and tend to know that's what I like which probably doesn't help with the chasing thing. Chasing an aries is like romantic suicide.

If you wouldn't mind me asking, how did figure out that my ascendant ruler is the moon in the first house? I'm just wondering because my knowledge of astrology is very basic. Even though I tried to get the technique to work, I couldn't get the right combination. So I'm pretty sure you're right. What did you use as my ascendant? I'm pretty sure its either Scorpio or Saggitaurus. Using Placidus, and same DOB, Astrodienst and Astrocafe give me two different ascendants.

And if the thing about them picking me is true. I breathe a big sigh of relief. To tell you the truth, me chasing is was shut down things with the last boy. Everything was going smoothly until I took towards taking things into my own hands. AND he was an Aries. If I'd only know then what I know now!

Well if you want to read more, the same theory is applied to the seventh house here:
http://www.astrologyinserbia.com/e/nikola/kakoulovitimomka.htm

quote:

Analysis of the seventh house (cusp of the seventh house, planets in the seventh house, ruler of the seventh house) provides the description of a partner.

At the very cusp of the seventh house, there is Uranus at the ninth degree of Leo. I told her that her husband had a university degree (ninth degree bears the symbolic of Sagittarius – university education), that he was a mechanical engineer (Uranus trine Mars), divorced (Uranus – divorce), living in a foreign country (Uranus at the ninth degree – degree of Sagittarius – foreign country), that he would be from her country (ruler of Uranus, Sun in Cancer – a countryman) and that she would meet him through the symbolic of Uranus – friends.

Who pursues whom?

quote:

We made the following plan: since the ruler of her first house (she) is in the seventh house (husband), she (ruler of the first house) must “get “ the husband (ruler of the first house in the seventh house – husband),

quote:

Moon and Venus are “ feminine “ planets and, in a horoscope of a man, they tell us about the type of women they like, what kind of women they are attracted to. Moon speaks about the personality of a woman while Venus describes her looks.

Due to his Venus in Leo I told her to dye her hair blonde, put golden jewellery on, dress up in something yellow or shades of yellow and not to miss to sing something when there is a “ chance “ for singing… And due to the Moon in Virgo I told her that during the dinner conversation she should mention that she felt that a woman must be pedantic, neat, house proud (Moon), unpretentiously dressed (Virgo) and to stress that that she “ didn’t understand the women who are lazy and avoid working …” I also told her that in the climax of the conversation about women she had to point out that a woman in a house should be humble and diligent while, when going out with her husband (Leo, fifth sign – outings) she should be dressed up and glamorous…

I find it kind of amazing how the kind of person you date and marry can be very different. I would think in most cases the the first one would lead to the second.

Wow...

I just looked at this based on my own chart, and all I can say is WOW!

The cusp of my 5th house is Libra - ruler Venus.

My venus is in Gemini and in 1st house.

- In my case, my significant other is a gemini, and yes, he literally chased me to my own and later on, to my parents' doorstep. He claims that it was love at first sight for him.

Sounds pretty accurate in my case.

Okay.. not sure how I ended up with cancer and moon first house. My apologies. I probably entered something in wrong. It goes with house rulership which isn't as clear cut for scoprio/sag. I used alabe.com/freechart because I didn't want to mess with my astro.com info. It has you right at 00 degrees sag. Anyway, if you're born exactly at that time I'd go with sag's rulers which is either jupiter or uranus. Jupiter co-rules pisces which is also ruled by neptune which rules no other sign, so I'd use Jupiter as your chart ruler. If your birth time is off by even a minute it could be scorpio, in which case your chart ruler is mars or pluto depending on who you talk to. I think i've seen more people use mars.

If you're sag asc your chart ruler is in the 5th which would imply in her theories that you should initiate relationships, but again, I can't validate that theory.

Hmmm...maybe if there are no connections between the 5H and 7H, the person described by the 5H isn't who you're meant to marry. It is the house of fun and affairs; he might not have the qualities you're looking for in a long-term partner or he could evolve into the traits your 7H describes.

For me 5HR (Venus) is in 8H (death/rebirth/other's sources)

Venus conjuncts Mars (Aries is in my 3H and Mars co-rules my 10H and 11H), in Virgo. Virgo is the natural ruler of the 6H so I could meet a guy on the job, doing something sporty/health related, or he could be in the health field.

Venus squares Uranus: he might not want to settle down for a while or is a wonderer. Uranus is in my 11H (friends) and rules my 2H (he may need financial help). 5HR in hard aspect to Uranus may give an accidental/unexpected "bundle of joy".

Venus trine Neptune: a dreamer capable of unconditional love. Neptune is in my 12H making the relationship karmic and rules my 3H. We could meet or start off through some form of communication, trips or visits, or transportation. And he could very well getting along with my siblings.

Venus sextile Pluto: ardent, a tad bit obsessive or jealous. Pluto is in my 10H and rules both it and my 11H. His friends could help him in his career and he may be very popular on his job.

Venus trine N.N.: positive gains and he could find relationships quite easy and very romantic like with Neptune. N.N. is in my 4H so family and home could be very important to him and he has a good relationship with his dad.

Venus squares Chiron: romantically scarred- bad former relationships. Chiron in my 5H looks to love, fun, and children for healing. Or maybe he's the healer.

Venus trine ASC: attractive and doesn't have to try so hard to be. Appreciates physical beauty. ASC in Capricorn: he prefers classic or elegant beauty.

If I did this right there's just too much to post. And there is more... Anyway, I did both the 5H and 7H. They describe a guy I know and like a lot if I'm not being too hopeful.

It's ok. I've definitely learned a lot from your explanation. Thank you! Currently learning towards Sagitaurius ascendant as the technique works. If I try it the other way, with Scorpio as the ascendant, my chart ruler Mars is found in the eight, which doesn't work. I have Aries on the cusp of fifth, so my the ruler of my fifth house is once again Mars, so that doesn't work either.

Like Deliah, the ruler of my 5th house is ruled by Venus (Taurus). Natal Venus is located in the 7th house in Gemini. I've never dated anyone unattractive, perhaps that is the Venusian coming out.

Venus is opposite Saturn: They either will be older or possess the capricorn ambition.

Venus is oposite Uranus: They also have to be slightly unconvential and into music, especially obscure music and they will respect my independence.

I've noticed that I often go for Leo ASC. and my ASC. usually falls in their 5th house.
