Mars is in Libra for her. Can't remember Neptune. I definitely get that in your case, if you'd pushed your own 'needs' to be respected and heard under the rug, you'd wanna make it clear right now that you are not to be trifled with.

I think it COULD be a very intentional trait for the 'less evolved' Scorpio Ascs or Scorpio Ascs who have been deeply wounded in some way.

I think for Scorpio Ascs who are really secure in themselves, they usually come off as simply strong. They don't have to project it outward, BUT they are still very intimidating to people who are insecure themselves. I can't tell you how many people have given me the green eyed look of jealousy, and all I've been doing is sitting across the room.

In my case, I usually don't mean to come off as 'appearing like someone you don't mess with,' but sometimes people do say that I come off that way. Yet, on the flip side, I have tons of friends and people who are close to me say that "You are the most gentle person."

HOWEVER, I have been known to turn off and on my ability to look and act tough if I don't want to be bothered. For all the friends I have around me, I'm kind of a loner and I don't like having my space invaded and bugged with small talk from strangers. I'm generally a very approachable person, so I sometimes feel like I have to push people away to avoid feeling smothered and 'looking tough' is one way to do accomplish that.

Agreed.

As for the rest, makes perfect sense to the Scorpio psyche. Are you a Sun or Moon Scorp as well, or any other Plutonian influences? My friend believes everyone is simply jealous of her, period.

I know I've had this discussion on this forum before, but I actually don't think that a truly secure Scorpio 'takes revenge.' I am not and have never been a vengeful person. However, if you wrong me and I've made it explicitly clear how you've wronged me and you are still doing it, I WILL put my foot down by WALKING AWAY. I won't rage and scream. You'll just never hear from me again. I find that there are many people in this world who don't know how to say NO and mean it, so when someone finally does it, everyone gets offended by the fact that you actually did what you said you were going to do in the first place.

I am just coming in to the power of Scorpio,again.
I had it as a teen.
A Scorpio ASC will not let herself be aggressed ON.
The manner in which she repels people may vary but she will do so and should,IMO.

No, I've got a Virgo Sun and Aries Moon. However, my Pluto is at the end of Libra sextiling my Venus/MC/Sun in Virgo and it also conjuncts my Saturn in Scorpio. So, there is a fairly strong Plutonian influence. I also have a strong Mars influence.

I don't think everyone is jealous of me... On the contrary, I usually wonder why ANYONE is jealous of me. That's probably my Virgo talking. lol. However, I've noticed the green-eyed monster more recently because within the last 8 months I've lost about 35 pounds and I'm looking really good, so I've been getting lots of stares, both good and bad.

It is unfortunate that your friend feels the need to puff up her ego to compensate for some inner wound. It is indeed easier to think that everyone is jealous of you when you are not feelings so great about yourself.

Agreed. Don't let people walk on you.

I just want others to understand the difference. There is a way to be strong while still compassionate. There is also the Scorpio type that would project their ego outward out of fear, insecurity, hurt, and the need to control outer circumstances. These types are more like caged animals, ready to tear into anyone.

Scorpios in general get a bad rap because everyone thinks that they are completely vindictive, cruel people. Some are, but there are those types in every sign. I would like to dispel the rumor, because I've known LOTS of very upstanding Scorpios, and being a Scorpio rising myself, I generally don't agree with the fact that I am a heartless b***h. Of course, I also don't agree with that stereotype for Virgos either.

I need to look scary because everybody took advantage of me as a child. I need to protect my sun and moon, so they hide behind my Scorpio ASC and Cap stellium. I have sun sq asc (out of sign), and I can feel it, the way I portray myself is not the way I am in some cases.

Being a Pisces sucks, especially with sun tr jupiter (rx)(can) and an unaspected fire moon singleton (sag). I feel like all the people who said "trust me" or "I love you" when I was young were just trying to destroy these parts of me.

I have an almost unaspected one( a 7 degree conjunction with Mars).Some astrologers call it unaspected.Many do not but it is it's only aspect.

I was coming in to my Scorpio ASC when I went numb.
I had great insight ,lightning insight as Scorpio's do.
I listened to it,prior.
I did not like many things I saw or felt but I knew they were there and they were real.
Scorpio knows things,ugly things.

The last movie I saw before I went numb was "Last Summer" based on a book by Evan Hunter.
I read all his books.
They are th manual for a Scorpio ASC cuz they deal with power and WHAT will happen to you if you give it up

I was 13 when I saw the movie.I was an innocent 13 about sex but somewhat wise about life,as much as you could be at that age.

The theme of the movie was what happens when you lose your personal power.
You get raped, quite frankly,as one of the characters did.
That was the story,The weak girl got raped.
The strong one engineered the rape.
Two boys were the weak ones, the sheep, the crowd, the mindless morons ,you could say.

I lost the Scorpio life lessons when I went numb.
A blanket was thrown over my keen perception.
I could not see,anymore.
I could not think.
I could not reason.
I became blind but I ,still,remembered this lesson.
However,I could not access it unless the circumstances were dire and by then,it was usually too late.
