Hey all

When is comes to relationships what is ruling Is it moon or venus?

I have leo moon but libra venus...in relationships i tend to like harmony and intellect. But my fiery leo comes in to play when hurt or betrayed and I will cut a lover off if they do this. That doesn't sound very libra like!

Any thoughts?

Hi.
Well in my opinion, they both play out in relationships, only at different moments. That's why we are so full of contradictions, one day we can be expressive, another day shy or retiring.. etc.
It's a bit hard to really differentiate the planets and the role which they play, because it's a whole picture, with many different elements.

But anyway, the Moon tends to be considered as the representative of our needs, whereas Venus of our likes/wants. Unfortunately, when the Moon and Venus are not in good aspect together or when they have no common ground, needs and wants tend to clash, leading to frustration.

Most definitely both. Give you a perfect example, if you'll indulge me, and this NOT at my most 'evolved', but to hell with it:

Sag Moon: I find a lot of different types of men interesting, connect, find out what makes them tick, and get them to show me their interest. They finally succumb, when BAM! Virgo Venus kicks in and starts to shitpick on all their flaws and ways in which they are wrong for me and don't meet my actual standards, whereby HARK! The moon's back to lose interest and low and behold, gallops off into the sunset alone, optimistic there's something perfect just around the corner.

Astrology at work.

At least you know yourself
Where is your Venus?

The entire natal chart will figure in when it comes to relationships, because so much is involved in our connections with others--daily practicalities, passions, sexual desires, communication, family issues, etc...you have to look at the whole chart to see what someone will act like or look for.

But breaking down the Moon versus Venus parts--I read the Moon as how the person experiences and manifests emotions, and Venus as how the person wants to partner.

Moon is what will make you feel comforted/nurtured, and Venus is the vibe you want your partnerships to have. Let's say a man has Venus in Taurus and a Sag Moon....he will want a stable partnership, cooking together at home, etc, but what will make him feel good emotionally is lots of adventure, freedom, exploration...and when he's upet, he'll want to go off travelling or into the woods. Reverse it, a man with Sag Venus and Taurus Moon will want an adventurous, exciting, active partnership, but to comfort himself he'll need Taurus things (a warm meal, a steady bank account.)

Mine are conjunct, it has its good & bad.

For men it's really difficult for them & the women in their lives if they're square or opposed.
For women there's a disconnect but they can still incorporate both, and at least if they're square it's the same modality and if they're opp then it's the same gender, oppositions have a lot in common anyway.

Oh right..
Moon rules emotional nature which is gonna come to the fore in all relationships, Venus rules relating principles, so they both matter. IMO they matter equally.
If you're hurt them you're gonna react in a lunar way, if you want to attract or get people to like you then it's gonna be Venus at work.
Moon=needs
Venus is about being admired, what aesthetically pleases, she's superficial and wants to be desired.
If they're neighboring signs, that is a difficult one, or quincunx, because those are the signs that look at each other & say 'where did you come from'. They have things in common, sure, but you have to look harder to find them.

Moon is the one that loves and cares, that has concern, like a mother figure would.
Venus rules being "in love"
Unconditional love is ruled by Neptune, the higher octave of Venus
Conditional love is ruled by Saturn
Uranian love is electric, love at first sight
Plutonian love is deep & profound and holds no punches, it's the most 'honest' form of love, when someone tells you the truth no matter if it hurts
Jupiter love is encouraging and optimistic, always seeing the best
Mercurial love is fickle and dependent on new experience, the butterfly type
Etc

Lona - what would you say about a man with Moon in Capricorn, Venus in Scorpio? Emotionally he needs....and he wants a partnership that is....?

Capricorn Moon: She's practical, knows the social score, makes him look good, ambitious herself or helps his ambitions, she would have to fit in with the image he is trying to put across (to help his reputation), maybe she has money or is older
Scorpio Venus: Wears well fitted clothes (shows off the figure), communicates very well non-verbally, very perceptive, asks probing questions, doesn't let him get away with anything, very intelligent, good at keeping secrets

Lonake,

This:

quote:

Uranian love is electric, love at first sight

Jupiter love is encouraging and optimistic, always seeing the best
Mercurial love is fickle and dependent on new experience, the butterfly type
Etc

is probably the most excellent description of this I have ever read. Concise, simple, and perfect. Thank you so much.

Your Cap moon description was also spot on (says the Cap moon, Cap AC girl).

Man the Moon Capricorn guys I've known have a long order to fill.
Mind, they're OK with flings (that placement tends toward a very high sex drive), but for that you'd look at other factors, too.
All the Cap Moon men I know are OK with casual sex.

Oh Lona, that SUCKS big time. Sounds like the kind of guy I always rejected. :-/ And here I am completely engrossed by one. South Node connection, though, I think it's karmic but maybe not necessarily meant to be....

...ugh, why do we go for them?

Did you find them intuitive at all, able to plug into spiritual connection love wise, able to RECOGNIZE their soul mate potential?

Capricorn Moon, by itself, no.
Venus in Scorpio otoh is very tuned in.
This is just isolating 2 placements, it's not really the whole person.
Hope it works out

ETA,
But....Capricorn Moon is a sucker for emotional connection, genuineness, not easily won over, but won over for keeps if you know what I mean, they're not eager to let their softer side show, no matter other placements, so when/if they do that, then youre making real progress. You're better off if you show your softer side first, before they do, tbh, makes em feel more secure to show theirs later on, if they choose.

Guys,try coupling ur sun sign and venus sign... It works wonders in my case: leo sun,cancer venus; i always wanted something that is called exaggerated lover=flair for drama,and expressive suiting... I attract men with leo/sag venus;
I am cappy moon also... When there is trust, there is everything. When my moon is happy,my venus trined by pluto purrs... In so many deep, unexpected ways
