I've just realised that tPluto is in orb on my natal Uranus although it wont be exact until 2012.

Since it's Uranus I can't really pre-empt what's going to happen. I know that the houses that Pluto and Uranus rule in my chart (1&4) may be the area where things in my life change, and of course the house where my Uranus is.

So what happened to you??? Was it good, bad, hard. What did you learn and gain from Pluto and what did you have to lose to gain it?

I was definitely a Rebel *with* a cause during this transit. Became more aware of the world's injustices, but terribly disillusioned when I realized there was little I could do to bring change. My Uranus is in Sag/12th.

No rebellion here, just became more proactive in my life and felt like I could change things for the first time in a while, it was refreshing. It was also when I made it a point to contact my biological mother's family, and shocked them a bit for sure since they hadn't heard from me since I was born lol, but it was good, it felt like breaking new ground and starting over. Uranus is in the 5th and rules the 7th, Pluto is in the 4th and rules the 5th, so I guess you can see some interchanges there of home life, offspring, secrecy, unexpected, relationships.

If they rule your 1st and 4th there's identity involvement, and roots/your past, plus pluto for intensity and drama related to the house its placed natally plus some unexpected turn of events/sudden insight related to where uranus is natally placed. It's astro soup

I am having it for several months and will be over in summer. In addition Having pluto sextile ascendant transit. I changed - transformed- a lot. My view of world changed and got better. I am more adult than the people who are at my age. I learned a lot about the process of the Universe. I am hotter also

I was beaten with brutality in a public place (school). One guy came up to me and started hitting, no words were spoken. Everyone watched and then laughed. They joked about how well he hit me. Uranus corules my 1st house, it's in Sag in the 10th house. Pluto rules my 10th. Yes, I too became a rebel against injustice, and against justice for that matter, which was never done. To say that I have lost confidence in humanity is an understatement. My own father slapped me on the face when he heard about it, said I have embarrassed him and I must have done something to **** the guy off and perhaps I deserved it. So much for the Uranian ideals of brotherhood and fairness. Some people are just scum and that's that, who'd want to be brothers with them anyway. I had nobody on my side, as shocking as that sounds. So I came to realize I am alone in this world and so it must be. The Uranian emotional detachment that came with it was bonus.

OMG that's horrible... I guess I'm feeling the whole alone-ness thing, I wish I could be emotionally detached, it'd make my life so much easier...

Does Uranus rule brains or brain chemistry???

I feel like I'm all over the place. I feel like I'm a basketcase sometimes but it's different to the mars rx basketcasey-ness I get.

Could Pluto be trying to reset my brain chemistry (I have it rx so I can see why this has come up now).

To top it all off it hasn't even been exact yet.

I don't want to be this unstable for like 2 years.

^ Depends on what houses they rule.
Transit interps aren't one size fits all.

Transiting Pluto Conjunct Uranus
This is a time of extreme restlessness, when you want to break out from any routine that has entered your life, and experience excitement. You will find it very difficult to accept the normal routine of day to day life, preferring anything that adds a little spice to life. Your impatience to explore new pastures may not impress those around you. You should be careful to include your loved ones in your new ventures, otherwise you may find yourself out on the doorstep, so to speak. You may take up a completely new hobby, change jobs, or become interested in metaphysical and mystical events. While it is positive to embrace new things in life, and take a few risks, you should be wary of going too far too soon. Otherwise you will find this a highly creative time when you have lots of energy. http://astrolibrary.org/transits/pluto-conjunct-uranus.html

I was 11 years old:

I left a comfortable and caring environment, moved to another city, and started junior high school in a hostile and terrifying environment.
Came out of the closet to my parents
Met and became friends with my soulmate (who I started dating 2 years later).

Gawd, there's always some transit/aspect you're depressed about.
Why not make the choice to be happy and not let the chart dictate your life.

Uranus rules my 5th and is at the cusp of my 2nd/3rd.
When Pluto was transiting nUranus, I was obsessed with music. Creating (or attempting to), expressing it through different mediums, striving to perfect it on one. It was at the forefront of my world. Then suddenly it was interrupted. Time to grow up and move on. That was all past life stuff.

Edit: Iiiiinteresting, reading about how (differently) it manifested in others' lives.

I'm appalled at your father's reaction.
Sorry but what a jerk! Both him and the other one, but as a parent your father ought to know better!!!
I'm really sorry you had to get through this.

First of all, an applying conjunction is the most intense period of such a long-term transit. Expect it to lessen shortly after it becomes exact.

Second, Uranus rules the nervous system. Pluto is the intensity of emotions. So the two together are giving you reason to go over the top. If I were you, I would watch my diet. Eliminate stimulants (coffee, sugar, etc.) to make those overwhelming Pl-Ur emotions going over the top. Detoxify if you can in regular periods of time. If you take care of your body, any transit over your nervous system and emotions will be felt milder and easier to deal with.
Some people overreact to such nervous energy by doing exactly what they shouldn't be doing (drugs, caffeine, sugar...) and they are doing damage to their bodies that will pay for dearly down the road.

I had the conjunction when I was 6 and it marked my beginning of School.
I was a rather timid kid until then. Given that "School" lasted for quite a while for me (all the way to Grad School), that was pretty amazing a ride. Uranus rules my 1st and chart and is in the 8th. Pluto is in the 8th too and rules my 10th. I'm having the Pl-Ur square now.

Not everyone will experience this

it's a*GENERATIONAL* planet, so if it's not angular or aspected to personal planets, you may not feel anything at all.

If it's withing the first quadrant, the most personal part of our character, you should feel something.

I have pluto 7th house and using solar arc from Uranus to pluto I was age 27approx, and there were 'volcanic' eruptions within my marriage at the time, which led to it's demise and divorce...

I identify with your experience too. I was never brutally beaten through my Uranus/Pluto conjunction, but I was psychologically and emotionally destroyed for years without intervention from those who were capable of stopping it (perhaps this is more characteristic of my Uranus being in Scorpio). I was raised loving everyone and believing that everyone has an inherent goodness within. I was the type of kid who would stand up for the helpless, regardless of the personal harm which could result. For years the only friends I had were the dogs my parents raised for sale. Unfortunately my parents were too busy with their own selfish pursuits to pay attention to the drastic change in my personality from extrovert to introvert; the fact that I was going home sick from school almost every day; or the fact that I spent my time out of school, shut away from family.

I walked out of the experience with a lot of hatred for people too. I faced a conflict of being raised to feel compassion for others vs discovering the world was filled with people who weren't worth feeling compassion for. I spent 20 years being detached until I started to learn the real lesson, Uniqueness. People loathe uniqueness (especially in childhood), because it challenges everything they have been told is true about the world. I was emotionally brutalized into feeling I needed to conform and reacted with rebellion. I embraced all the uniqueness in myself, because I knew nobody else was going to. Without that understanding, I can't imagine what kind of nightmarish adult I would have become. Only a couple of years ago, I started playing around with the idea of discovering a reason to allow myself to feel compassion for others again. My discovery makes me sad, because my capacity for compassion turns out to have been one of my greatest unique traits. Regardless of how worthy of compassion others are, that says nothing for my built-in capacity to love and appreciate them. Everyone is an idiot at one point in their life (some for longer periods of time than others), and we all have great and justifiable personal excuses for why we act that way.

I have been fortunate (and I use the term loosely) to have endured conjunctions from Pluto to DSC, Uranus, Venus, Ceres, Sun, Neptune, and soon Mercury, MC. Through those transformations I have learned that holding on to the bad experiences of youth are like holding on to a hot coal with the intention of throwing it at someone. In the end the process just damages me more. The best thing I can do to revolt against those people who hoped to inflict damage on me, is not let them transform me into a damaged person; a person who is incapable of loving. I hope you are still able to find the brotherhood and sisterhood in humanity, because we do not get to pick and choose which parts of a planet are real. If you accept the revolution and distance of Uranus in you, then somewhere in you the cry for brotherhood, comradeship, and utopia exists too =)
