Hi, I've heard that a transiting or progressed planet hitting the Sun-Moon midpoint can be very significant, even more so than if it hit the actual Sun or Moon.I've also heard that the Sun-Moon midpoint is a powerful indicator in synastry. What are your experiences with midpoints? Which midpoints do you find to be most significant, and why? IP: Logged |

Examples: 1) I'm looking at my synastry with someone, and my antivertex conjuncts his Sun-Moon near midpoint (1), my Sun conjuncts his Sun-Moon far midpoint(2). Would this have any significance? Just increase a feeling of connectedness? His antivertex conjuncts my Sun/Moon far midpoint (2), so it's kind of an antivertex double whammy. 2) Natally, my Venus is on my Sun-Moon (near) midpoint--what would that mean? Would that make Venus more significant in my chart, and if so, how? My Mercury is on my Mars-Venus midpoint--similar question. IP: Logged |

i'm really bad at knowing stuff but i'm good at guessing. in terms of my own experience i look to my sun/moon a lot because my sun and moon are squared so to me it feels like a fusion or even harmonization. the ONLY person i've ever known (at least in recent years) who's sun exctly conjuncts it is actually a celebrity i am in regular contact with. he loves how my mind works and i feel the same about him, and very UP in his presence; like just awake, if that makes any sense. could be partially being that his sun and my sun/moon are in aries and thus very energetic! but i think there is a lot to the sun/moon midpoint. also may be the fact that we have a lot of sextiles between our personal planets.and yeah i would definitely think your venus is VERY prominent at sun/moon. but i really don't know a lot about midpoints. i know the guy i am seeing has most of his midpoints conjunct my natal planets, though. sun/moon midpoint is very significant, but the orb must be tight. look especially for hard aspects (cj, oppositions and squares) with the other person's personal planets or axes/nodes. i will not look for orbs >2, maximum 3 degrees.my sun/moon midpoint (which also conjuncts my IC) conjuncts my best friend's AC. our connection is amazing. i also have my sun/moon midpoint cj my best friend from childhood' sun. also, my sun/moon midpoint conjuncts my SO' DC by 1 degree (we have all our axes cj). it is a very significant connection, he is the first man with whom i actually see myself married. sun/moon cj your venus SHOULD be significant but really don't know how to translate this. i also have sun/moon cj IC and the only thing that I can think about is that when someone is hitting my sun/moon and thus also my IC i share a very special intimacy with him/her. I have Sun/Moon conjunct by one orb
So my Sun/Moon midpoint is right in between
my sun and moon also Mercury. So when some one hits me they hit me hard
hitting my
Sun,Moon,Mercury and Sun/Moon MP... ALSO my Venus/Pluto midpoint is right there also.. merc 14leo

The Sun Moon MP hitting another's by conj in Synastry, ideally by the other's Sun or Moon, good bond there.Regarding progressions, yes, progressed Moon conj Sun Moon MP standing out strongly. IP: Logged |
