First of all, I have to thank Saturn for helping me to know that my birthtime is indeed correct. Dilemma: my mother is completely vague about what time I was born. There was a time she said I could've been born between 5:30 and 6:30 which would give me either a Capricorn or Aquarius Ascendant. Then from sometime on, she's sure I was born at 5:30 but I was still iffy on that, partly because I was wondering why it wasn't a more random time like say....5:32. To complicate things even more, even though its a Cap Rising....I have Uranus conjunct Saturn so I wouldn't know for sure if saturn or uranus influence comes from being Aqua or Cap Ascendant. Well, thank God for transits....

Saturn hit 17 degrees Libra at the top of the New Year, where my supposed MC lies. Boy it showed. I seem to remember now that everytime Saturn hits a point or planet in my chart, that area of my life seems to go downhill. Now what's so special about now? I may have beaten him this time around. Suffering setback after setback last month, I went back and look at what I was doing....revised it, and now I'm on the right track again. Things seem to be looking up again, instead of getting worse and worse with no good outcome like with previous Saturn transits.

It's all about having a plan. That's what saturn seems to like. Oh, and I am a true Cap Ascendant afterall.

**edit** Can someone change the icon? I didn't mean it to be the thumbsdown signal. SMH

You GO!!!

I have also been reading about Saturn... I have alot of info on Saturn.. Heres a piece of what I have.

SATURN, LORD OF KARMA

Sir Isaac Newton’s Third Law of Motion states: “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”. This statement can also be said to represent the Law of Karma. Symbolically speaking, we can say that the manifested universe is ruled by Libra: what you sow, you shall reap. This is as true from our moment to moment reality as it is from lifetime to lifetime. Karma is not limited to the affairs of the Twelfth House as many astrological writers and thinkers would have us believe. The entire natal horoscope is a synthesis of our karma, a portrait of what we have amassed energetically across the eons of our many incarnations.

Saturn shows where you are being tested. Its house position in your chart indicates lessons necessary for fulfilling obligations and responsibilities so personal growth can occur. It is where you must build in self-discipline to work and work hard. Remember, "Saturn delays but does not deny." It also depicts your experience of your father’s authority, discipline and example. Saturn, in fact, may be an accurate picture of your father, but just as often is not. It - and all the planets for that matter - only represents your response to, or experience of, things in the outside world, not the things in the outside world themselves.

Saturn’s symbol is the crescent of the personality subjugated to and held down by the cross of matter. Only when we bow down to the law of the way things are and pass the tests of material existence can we truly be free to enter the realm of the spirit. It rules Capricorn, where, if unafflicted, strength, persistence, and responsibility can be married to being a channel for power, rather than trying to be the power. It is exalted in Libra, the sign of marriage, union and cooperation. What on Earth tests us more and calls for more discipline? It is in its detriment in Cancer, where it hardens and inhibits feelings, nurturing and mothering. In its fall in Aries it blocks the flow of energy, and one can be too self-centered.

Thanks for the aricle! I've always been conflcted as to whether the sun or saturn represents the father. I think in my case its both. I have a Cancer Sun and a 12th house Sag saturn that's poorly aspected. I've always had a much worse time with saturn then most other Cap influenced people, which was just another reason I doubted my birthtime and Ascendant. I think now its just because of the placement/afflictions aaand that I have planets in cancer and aries. The article speaks the truth about the effects of saturn on those two signs. *sigh*
