Does their pMoon conjunct ur natal moon or their pSun conjunct ur natal sun also mean the same and vice versa?

Check PR moon between both chart. Yor PR moon to his Natal and His PR moon to yours Natal. PR moon are an big trigger.

I was reunited with Gem after not seeing him for 10 years..

My Pr Moon was at 28Sag His sun at 29Gem
So PR moon opps natal sun,
Transit Venus was also in retro.

His PR moon was at 19Cancer
sq my natal Uranus

His PR IC is conjunt my Leo Sun,Moon,Mercury

I could check other factors, if you give me suggestions, on what to look for.

I think the ascendant will work too?

The degrees aren't exact but I notice people coming into my life when their progresses Sun enters Libra of any degree. I have my ascendant and sun there!

Oh and this is also true when their pr Moon is conjunct my Venus.

I had a very random and intense encounter with my ex last year when my progressed Sun and Pluto was conjunct his natal Pluto in Scorpio in the 8th. However, when my progressed Moon was conjunct his natal sun, nothing really happened.
