Hi all, I am new here (but not really since I've lurked for quite some time) and would like some help. So I'm (a Virgo female) somewhat involved with this Taurus guy that I am CRAZY about; our situation is very new and has only been going on for the past 2 months. The feeling seems to be mutual BUT none of my planets really make an aspect to his Mars (save for Saturn making an opposition with a 6 degree orb).

I'm worried that this won't bode well for the longevity of our situation (particularly sexually). We haven't been intimate (for various reasons) and now I'm wondering if the unaspected Mars is influencing his sexual attraction toward me. Given my intense feelings for him and how heartbroken I would be if it didn't work out, I figured now was as good as any to make my presence known and defer to all of you wise folks on the forum. Please HELP!

Hi Ami Anne,

Thanks for welcoming me and a prompt reply. Well I'm not sure if you mean me to him or him to me so I'll just give you both. My Venus-Mars conjunction sextiles his Pluto by 1 degree and my Moon trines his Pluto by less than a degree.

As for me, my Pluto doesn't form any aspects to his personal planets besides a quincunx with his Venus and Mercury (with a 5 degree and 2 degree orb respectively) and a trine to his Moon (with an 8 degree orb which is too wide I know).

Do you think there is hope since his Pluto is aspected although the Mars isn't really? Thanks again for your help :-)

Post the synastry?

An unaspected Mars doesn't doom any aspect of your relationship--the flavor of your sex life might just feel more Pluto on his end.

It's a huge red flag that you feel worried enough about things to post on an astrology forum, though...that's more opf a sign of a problem in the relationship than ANYTHING that can ever be in a chart. Your intuition, for whatever reason, is telling you something's off...with the sex vibe between you, and maybe with other things.

What sign is your Venus/Mars conjunction in?

Are they in the same element as his Mars?

Hi Lucia23, thanks so much for replying. I am grateful to hear that this unaspected Mars doesn't doom the whole sexual element of our relationship.

Actually my intuition tells me that he is THE ONE (though it's prob too early to tell) and so the Virgo in me has got me nitpicking and analyzing everything about us (including astrological charts) to sort of reaffirm my inner feeling. So far he seems to be EVERYTHING I could dream for in a man BUT we actually have pretty harsh synastry (squares galore and possibly a Grand Cross [granted the orb might be too wide for that aspect]). Though our composite is a little better (there is some harsh stuff there too).

I will definitely try and add a synastry chart as soon as I figure out how to do so...shouldn't take too long as I'm desperate for input. Thanks again :-)

Hi BettyBoop, thanks for your reply/questions :-). My Venus-Mars conjunction is in Leo and his Mars is in Taurus. Although they square by sign, the orb is rather wide so it isn't aspected. I am still a bit new to astrology so I'm not sure what you mean by same element but I know that Taurus is ruled by Venus and Leo is ruled by the Sun so probably not the same element?

Hi stormy!

I'd like to help but it's difficult without a synastry.
Your Venus/Mars are in fire and his Mars is in earth. I'm assuming his Venus is in Aries though, right?
I guess I'm trying to work out what attracted you in the first place lol

You have to go to astro.com and get a synastry chart in "free readings". Then save this chart to your computer and upload it on photobucket.com (or imageshack.com). You'll get a link which you can post here.

Thanks BettyBoop for your assistance...no he isn't a Venus in Aries, he has a Taurus stellium (his Sun, Mercury, Mars and Venus in Taurus), a couple of which squares my Moon in Aquarius and my Venus-Mars in Leo :-\. Special thanks to you BettyBoop; any insight from you (or anybody really) would be greatly appreciated :-)

Well, the synastry looks really nice to me. (I don't use composites, and I actually think each natal is more important than synastry--because, we manifest our natal in EVERY relationship of every kind, no matter how their chart touches ours.)

Here's what I like:

-you're both earth Suns, airy Moons...very challenging combo for each of you in your natal, but nicely complimentary in synastry, you can understand this conflict in each other
-Saturn-IC conjunction==brings longevity, a sense that you are family. it could also be hard, Saturn makes people take things seriously, but would increase your sense of being important to each other
-House overlays that match up--even though your Ascendents aren't conjunct (too wide an orb), you're both Cancer rising and that means when events happen to you (say, a Solart Eclipse in the 7th house) it'll hit his chart in the same area...that can help with daily life
-Moon-NN--increases a sense of connectedness, fatedness, being family. Because the Moon is chart ruler, this is stronger
-Sun-IC==again, really increases the sense of being family

You do have the right birth times, right? Otherwise most of what I'm saying is meaningless, I just noticed!

-Sun-Jupiter, even at wider orb, increases sense of happiness and expansion in the relationship
-your Mars-Venus is in your 2nd, house of Taurus, which will make a Taurus guy appeal to you beyond just the earth trine

It looks like the communication might be pretty good.

So obsessing and worrying about it is more of a natal problem for you, and less about red flags in the relationship? I would actually advise abandoning any search for outside validation, including with astrology, and try to BREATHE and let the relationship evolve naturally...I've found (in my own relationships and others) that that kind of emotion can subtly harm the relationship as it tries to develop.

But this guy is SO Taurean that, if he is interested and has managed to show you that, it would take a lot to get rid of him. Still, spend your energy on some Aqua Moon or Leo Mars-Venus stuff instead of overthinking or worrying about this--creative activities, intellectual pursuits (other than astrology!) Letting a relationship develop requires a gentle hand and some leaving it alone.

Lucia23,

Thanks so much for that lengthy reply and in-depth analysis. I am still a novice at astrology and saw all those squares and just assumed the synastry wasn't too hot. And yes the charts are indicative of accurate birth times (he knows I'm into astro so recently I jokingly demanded to see his birth certificate and he complied because he's a really affable, good-natured guy).

And it's funny I feel and am perceived by most as very Aquarian in most interpersonal relationships since I'm kind of reserved and detached generally but my obsessive/detail-oriented Virgo side rears its ugly head in romantic relationships. I am very grateful for the astrological help but even more so for the words of wisdom. I know it's a really bad habit of mine and I should just go with the flow more in these instances.

Everything with him has been REALLY good so far, we have GREAT conversations and he makes a concerted effort to communicate as much as possible (everything from the mundane to deep emotions). From the beginning, we were both taken aback by how parallel our lives have been to this point and how much we have in common. He seems to be as into me as I am into him so I guess so far we are on the right track.

Anyways maybe it's that Moon-NN conjunction that makes me feel as if he's some sort of soulmate because it REALLY is a brand new situation and I'm not generally one to get swept away (so quickly) by infatuation. Thanks again for your help, I will try to BREATHE and let it be from now on :-)

hi! i have an unaspected mars in our synastry with this guy that i am seeing right now. Honestly, I am very attracted to him. Heck, I think about having sex with him at least once a day. It all really depends on the other aspects. I guess one thing I would say is lacking though is that he is not my physical ideal. Otherwise, I can't find anything else about him that I don't find sexy. My Venus is in his 1st house.

Hi bambam, wow I forgot all about this thread. So who's Mars is unaspected with you and your guy, yours or his? Presumably yours which is why you might not find him your physical ideal...perhaps. I also think gender might play a factor in how things would play out but that's just my theory. Glad to see all is well despite that unaspected planet :-)

I don't think it dooms a relationship as others have pointed out as well...you could look to see what is in his 5th/8th house. You could also check Pluto aspects, and house overlays between the two of you.

BUT I'm not going to be as generous as a lot of people on here have been. Lets be honest the Mars of a man is VERY important as it's his masculinity. On some level it is very good for there to be something touching his Mars...it could even be a inconjunct lol...but something.

Strong Mars might make him very sexually attracted to you. But obviously the Venus and Moon have to be there otherwise he'll just find you sexually attractive and that's all.

I've had guys be sexually attracted to me just by sight but when they get to know me I don't mesh with their Moon etc. For instance I had a thing with a double Sag...his Mars and Venus were Trine my Sun/Mars/Asc Conjunction in the 1st. So needless to say he wanted me...BUT as far as long term...it wouldn't work. He was a double Sag. Same for a guy I'm crazy attracted to now. I know he is most likely very attracted to me (his Mercury/Mars are Conjuct my Asc/Sun/Mars...and our Mars are Conjunct)...but for long term nothing will probably happen between us (he's a double Gemini).
