Is anyone on here a vegetarian? What were your moral/ethical reasons for adopting this eating style? Take a chicken, for example. Should we, as humans, the highest form of life, allow our chickens to roam freely in the fields, bask in the warmth of the sunlight, and live their lives that way? Or not? Does a chicken exist only so we can eat it IP: Logged |

not about vegetarians, but, if God gave you a gift, cherish it, treasure it, be proud of yourself IP: Logged |

This is not astrology related, so it will probably be moved.Care to maybe make it astrology related? quote: Does a chicken exist only so we can eat it
LOL That's such a funny question. Apparently we all eat each other anyway on this planet.. and round it goes! I mean - Do vegetables exist just so we can eat them? I'm a vegetarian.. But I'm not very sure that there is a point. First of all I would feel like a hypocrite eating meat when I would not be able to kill an animal myself. I don't like hiding from the reality of what I am eating. Secondly, being great apes -- something like 90% of our diet should be greens & fruit... technically... I'm not sure how we manage to eat as much meat as we do but it's obviously unhealthy. There is a lot of unnecessary killing going on - and animals being bred to feed our consumerist society. We just don't need to eat that much meat to survive. However - The reason I'm not sure whether it even has a point - is because there is so much pain going on in so many different contexts - that I'm not sure it can be prevented or eradicated. I don't think that it is possible to survive in our world, unless you kill other things.. even if it is just plants or ants - as you walk down the street... -- Welcome to LL! IP: Logged |

Whoop whoop, Betty, fellow vegetarian! I've always been a vegetarian, there has been periods where I was desparate and had to eat meat but my goal is to become vegan. Cheese is hard to sacrifice though! I can't stand the idea of eating an animal, I've always been hyper-sensitive to any harm done on animals and this might have to do with having Pisces Moon? Although my new special friend is a vegan and he has Libra Moon (there is my astrology related bit). IP: Logged |

We have basically become vegans very recently...I actually don't know the last time we ate any meat... I have always been a veggie lover anyway...and my body just can't tolerate meat anymore...I love pasta, rice, beans...and getting back to the fruit thing... For us, it is also a spiritual thing...a love of all things, animals have soul...I never thought about it up until a few months ago...I am surrounded by vegans now... Perhaps for some, it's strong Uranus, or Neptune aspects? My Uranus trines my Moon, and my Jupiter...My Neptune conjuncts my Venus and Merc, trines my Mars, and sextiles my Pluto...not sure if that has anything to do with it, just trying to keep it real thru Astrology....
