I have dabbled with the asteroids before from reading info others have posted. I have a VERY common Chiron theme in all of my relationships. It's always a Grand Cross or Grand Trine or Kite with Chiron involved. I usually check the Vertex and also add Eros and Psyche and/or the name asteroids from time to time. I have looked up about 20 others depending on how many topics are up on that one in particular in the forum.

My question now is... which should be the standards that I should always check and why? What do they tell me? How important are they? Which reveal the most information?

For relationship themes, I usually check Ceres and Juno along with Chiron. Also Amor is another good one to look up.

HI MM

I like Valentine and Karma. They're ones I've seen pop up in very close aspects.

With the man I'm in love with, we have:

My Karma at 4 deg Pisces.
His Karma at 4 deg Virgo.

His Valentine conjunct my AC closely.
My Valentine at 9 deg Aquarius.
His Sun at 9 deg Leo.

With my ex..

He had Valentine at 9 Sagittarius.
I have Saturn at 9 Sagittarius -- and my own Valentine at 9 Aquarius.

With my first love..

He had Jupiter at 9 Aquarius on my Valentine.

Karma aspects can show up with family members..

My Moon is at 19 Capricorn.
My grandmother's Karma -- also 19 Capricorn lol

Mystic...I have also found strong aspects to Chiron and the Vertex, especially in synastry...

I have also found Psyche 16, Karma 3811, Valentine 447, Union 1585, Destinn 6583, Angel 11911, Spirit 37452, Eros 433, DNA 55555, and Aura 1488...these are the ones that come to mind at the moment, and have worked for me and my family...

I agree with vertiver with Juno...although I haven't look too much at Ceres

I am fairly new to Astrology, but I have spent a few months studying the charts of family members, soul families, and twin flames, and have found aspects to all of these within our synastries...In Tropical and Draconic

So what are the strongest 'properties' of each of these asteroids, Karma, Valentine, Amor? I.e., Juno is suppose to represent Marriage and Chiron Wounds...

I know Black Moon Lilith is easy to find, but what about Dark Moon Lilith and asteroid Lilith? Does the asteroid have a number?

And does anyone know a sight that will write the aspects to the "Anti" asteroids, like to my Anti-vertex?

Antivertex/Vertex axis are an auxilliary Ascendant/Descendant axis

East Point/West Point axis are an auxilliary Ascendant/Descendant axis

Both those axises were advocated by Zipporah Dobyns who was also a pioneer asteroid astrologer.

Maritha Pottenger wrote a booklet on the East Point and Antivertex. It does explain the West Point and Vertex too.

hmmm - On astro.com in -- "extended chart selection", when you scroll all the way down you'll see links to:

"Asteroid name/number list with 14574 names"

"List of other horoscope factors and "hypothetical" planets"

Click on the first link for Asteroids.. Get the asteroid number and paste it in the "additional asteroids" box. And...Voila! It will now show up in the chart

I prefer this instead. http://www.true-node.com/eph1/

astro.com has a limit of 10 minor planets

In Jonathan Dunn's Ephemeral, it can go beyond 10 minor planets.
You can just type in the name of the object, and it will calculate it

it can calculate other astronomical factors like the nodes (geocentric, heliocentric), the perigree, apogee, perihelion/aphelion,
Right Ascension, Declination, Sidereal,
Ecliptic Latitude, Heliocentric

In the Node Book, Zipporah Dobyns wrote some stuff on the Geocentric Nodes of Ceres,Juno,Pallas, and Vesta

Here is the other version:

You put in the numbers, names here and calculate http://www.megadelfi.com/~jonathan/pos/

you add the numbers, names here http://www.megadelfi.com/~jonathan/add/

you search for numbers, names here http://www.megadelfi.com/~jonathan/nam/

Jonathan Dunn is one of the astronomically oriented astrologers.
He's a member of Zane Stein's Centaurs group.

The only things other than the traditional planets/nodes I find helpful when looking at synastry/natal charts are Chiron, the Vertex, Amor, Karma, and Psyche/Eros

There is no mention of asteroid, Hera

Hera was the wife of Zeus, Greek Goddess of Marriage

if you're into Norse mythology,

Frigga was the wife of Odin, Norse Goddess of Marriage

Freia was the Norse Goddess of Love and Beauty

there are asteroids named after those Goddesses

When I was reading mythology growing up, I was mainly into Greek/Roman mythology and Norse mythology. I wasn't really into other types of mythology. Well...I did like the Bible stories. I also liked a little bit of Egyptian mythology. I'd check out my grandparent's Egyptian mythology books when I would go see them.

Bulfinch Mythology book started it all for me.

I personally like serennu...I put in 30 or so numbers at a time, and have not had a limit problem yet...I then save them according to various themes for each of us....you can use various house systems, and it will also calculate Heliocentric, Geocentric, and Barycentric Nodes....Various Sidereal charts, and Tropical only though...for Draconic I take it to Astro...

Aside from adding MANY additional asteroids, it already provides a list of maybe 50? Centaurs, Asteroids, TNO's, Uranians, and such...I love it...

I agree with Glac with Hera and Zeus...as well as Osiris and Isis...and others...
I have just noticed within my bf and I's synastry, and my family, the VERTEX, DNA, Angel, Litith, Psyche, Chiron, Karma and the ARMC, we have alot of tight aspects to...there are a few others that I can't think of right now...and some are more Starseed related for us...such as the Galactic Center, Hermes, Hopi and Sedna...so it can be different based on the relationship, and your origins...

I'm sick. please send chicken soup. <3
(excuse for lame reply)

His Valentine is less than a degree away from my Venus/Uranus conjunction in Libra. All of this is opposite my Chiron in Aries (which is conjunct his Aries Sun,Merc,Venus,Saturn.
My Valentine is at 2'9 degree Aries with his Chiron at 3 degree Aries and his True Node is at zero Aries.

My Karma is at then end of my "stellium" which is within 10 degrees at the start of Libra and very end of Virgo. His Jup/Pluto/Uranus are right at the end of Virgo and all conjunct my Karma within 1-3 degrees.

He really seems to like me and it is more than a little scary for me. I like him too, but I'm worried. I hope we can date for a long time.

I will look up a few more and google some meanings

The most important astro celestial objects are the planets, the planets in our solar system (not all the other things in other solar systems, that all has nothing to do with us).

Sun, life, the main one. Neptune, the spiritual one, also main one but not as main, oh my god it's the second one. And then, there are all the other ones. Jupiter is a big one, the biggest one, not the main one, just a big one.

Looking at lots and lots of charts, I see disproportunate UNION action in synastries of 3+ year relationships...not Union conjunct other asteroids, but conjunct a planet or angle at a tight orb.

Some of the frequently-used aspects seem sort of coincidental in a chart...like Psyche. It always seems sort of randomly placed to me, both in natal and synastry. And Amor.
