I've recently been dating a new guy the past couple of months, and it's been going surprisingly great. We have a really lovely connection and a solid friendship underneath all of that.

However, he has a Capricorn stellium, so he's pretty elusive and I'm not REALLY sure how he feels about me. We don't really talk about it, nor do I mind, but I am beginning to get a little curious. I'm not really sure if I want to eventually be serious with him or not, which is why I'd love to know what you guys' input on our synastry is.

By no means am I making the decision on synastry alone, but I'd like to see where my mind goes after everything is said and done, so yeah. I haven't been in a relationship in a while and I'm not really in a rush.

I'm on the outside.

Aw, well with his Cancer Moon-Chiron, he has a very tender side that he would feel a need to protect. He could be/feel very vulnerable to hurt.

Do you have the birth times right for both people?

Your Jupiter-Chiron conjunct his Moon-Chiron could make him feel a sense of optimism/healing/expansion in exactly the place he is emotionally tenderest. Also, your Sun near his IC, if his birth time is right, could make him feel like you are "family," one of his or an intimate part of his world. Moon-NN also increases the sense of importance in the connection.

Is his Mars trine your Venus, or is the orb too wide? Either way, those planets in fire should add sexual interest/spark.

Sun-Saturn (sorry if I'm using too-wide orbs, I have a lot of trouble reading charts without degrees) can be very challenging. Lots of people say Saturn aspects are binding, which is true, but it can also make the Sun person feel restricted, constrained, or judged by the Saturn person, and the Saturn person feel frustrated with, or disappointed by, the Sun person.

Can you post the degrees? I can't tell whether your Saturn is conjunct his Sun, opposite his Moon, or in too wide an orb. If you do have Sun-Saturn or Moon opp Saturn at less than a 6 degree orb, a pattern could develop where he feels hurt by your judgment.

Saturn-Neptune is also potentially really tough--Saturn frustrated by Neptune's dreaminess, Neptune feeling wounded or entrapped by Saturn, like a pinned butterfly.

Many long-term couples can work with those Saturn challenges...the Saturn person learns to let go, practice non-attachment, and be more loose-y goose-y. The Sun, Moon, or Neptune person contacted by the Saturn can learn to appreciate the discipline, direction, and sense of responsibility Saturn offers.

In the case of this relationship, it may be easier for him to deal with that because Saturn is the ruler of his Sun and Uranus, his chart ruler, is in Saturn-ruled Capricorn...he may appreciate the discipline of your Saturn energy. But you might still feel frustrated, finding yourself feeling disapproving of him or frustrated by him.

YOUR Sun and chart ruler (Mercury) are in Venus-ruled Taurus (unless it's a Gem Sun? lol, sorry I'm crap at reading charts, I always have to use the aspect lists with all the degrees spelled out, I'm not so visual.) You're less into that Saturn energy, and might not enjoy taking the Saturn role in some of your interactions, so when you start to feel Saturn-y and judgy with him, it could make you unhappy and uncomfortable.

Overall, it looks like a nice connection, a nice balance.

My birth time is correct - I've tinkered with his chart for a good while (embarrassing to admit, but it's the truth), and gone back and forth in between a Scorpio or an Aquarius ascendant - and it's definitely Aquarius, as putting both the Sun and Venus in the 12th, with Mars in the 10th and Moon/Jupiter in the 5th is beyond perfect. A Scorpio ascendant and the planetary alignments in that chart didn't really remind me of "him" at all in that sense, you know?

Here's his natal:

Here's mine:

I totally know what you mean about being a little lost without degrees, normally I just go for an intuitive feel when I'm reading charts around here! But to get the clearest picture possible, they're so helpful. My Saturn is conjunct his Sun, although it's be 5 degrees - which is my cut off mark for orbs. My Venus is trine his Mars by 2 degrees - it's a very overwhelming aspect and I can TOTALLY feel it big time, but what makes me really stop and think about this guy is how gentlemanly he is to me when he has a reputation to just.. not be a tender person. Truthfully we have yet to be intimate (which does surprise me). There is an interesting affinity between us when sex on the horizon is put aside for some genuine conversation, which I don't think he has very often. :\

It's very nice synastry with that Sun trine too (at your maximum orb)...good for friendship as well as romance.

That makes a lot of sense.. when we were talking a couple of day ago, he did make mention of the fact that despite the fact we're both notoriously private people, it's almost bizarre how easy it is for us to open up to each other. Thank you Lucia! That's definitely given me a lot of perspective

Where's Mars at?

Mine is in his first and his is my third.. meaning this is going to be a partnership that has a big focus on communication between one another and how the effects our identity?
