Its odd how similar someone with Jupiter conjunct the ASC. is like a Sagittarian ASC. Yet they tend to be even more extremist/over-indulgent (binge drinking one day, doing yoga the next day) and can be very affectionate! Jupiterian people really do have a great sense of humor, but its usually subtle and full of sarcasism. Sure Leo placements make someone warm and sunny, but Jupiter is very similar yet more philosophical...

No kidding. Blonderiverkat, that is a lot of Saggy people... Yeah I'm a Sagittarius ASC. myself, with Jupiter in Gemini in the 6th H. Although Jupiter is detriment in Gemini, luckily natal Mercury in Leo is sextile Jupiter, which adds to the Gemini vibe, But I also have Saturn & Uranus in Sagittarius as well. Independence is the name of the game with a Sag. ASC. along with spontaneity, if someone randomly asks me to do something, I'm always there, which means that SAG. can be realible. I've noticed that those that are heavily jupiterian tend to be self-depricating at times... And over-compensate by being very generous. IP: Logged |

That's me...definitely, well...was me til very recently...the 'self-deprecating', and 'over generous' is gone now...lol I like the 'being reliable' part... IP: Logged |

Saggie here. Sigh. Sun, Neptune Merc and Mars in Sag. Merc is my ASC ruler in Sag, with Jupiter in Leo- which is mutually receptive with my Sun... I'm 32 and reality is starting to set in that when I do something, I over do it (which usually leads to burn out) I guess it's better late than never to learn a lesson. lol. But the one thing that hasn't left me is my sense of sarcastic humor. lolIP: Logged |

Sag Ascendant w/Jupiter in SagJupiter's main issue is wastefulness, especially when in aspect to Venus. Popcorn, I feel the same way about accepting gifts as your Mother. Personally I'm always weary that there are "strings attached" which threatens our personal independence. Of course this makes no sense when the gift is from one of your kids but with them I'm always thinking "don't waste your money Sweetheart" Funny thing here is that our gifts to others are almost always without strings. Just for the JoyJoyJoy of it. Lonake, you know Me (ok I'm not a Sag Sun) BRK, That's Astro DNA Your kids are bound to take some of your (Astro) traits, and like attracts like (your spouse) out Astro Nerds IP: Logged |

Yes! It never goes away, without humor, a Sagittarian will go insane! My only problem with scarcasim is that sometimes, people think your really negative, when in reality your just trying to be light hearted. I sometimes rub my Pisces Sun/ ASC. sister the wrong way, cause I go overboard with the teasing, and then I get really offended, because I was being playful, not mean-spirited... That is another Sag. thing, they tend to act very oblivious when people call them out on their behavior, lol! IP: Logged |

That is where Sagittarius and Pisces have some similarities they are both givers, yet in a way Sagittarius is even more generous than Pisces, because they tend to more aware of their giving nature, after Jupiter in traditional astrology ruler Jupiter. I'm definitely generous, but it goes in spurts, thanks to having Moon in Pisces square Jupiter in Gemini, oh love those mutable squares! But Moon square Jupiter is called the "fallstaffian" aspect in that those with this aspect tend to overdo the good life via food and drink. This affected me in my childhood/teenage years, I was overweight and never exercised... IP: Logged |

Actually the only person I know that can keep up with me is a Pisces BUT he has Moon conj Jupiter. lol But, I completely understand about going overboard and then feeling offended.

I have Jupiter in the 1st, closest planet to my Asc, but not quite conjunct. I also have 2 other planets in Saggy, and 2 planets in the 9th house so I can definitely relate to all that's been said here. quote: Popcorn, I feel the same way about accepting gifts as your Mother. I am a constant giver. It does not help that I have a lot of Virgo. It gives me a sort of existential guilt and I therefore feel that I must give even more to compensate. This year I even decided that I must learn how to receive, and so for my 'spiritual concept' for the year (instead of new years resolutions, I work on spiritual principles that I want to learn; how's that for Sagittarian? ) I decided I would work on learning how to receive (good or bad). It's actually going surprisingly well. I'm just letting situations and people come into my life without having to control them and actually learning how to accept gifts without feeling guilty that I'm taking something from someone else.
