For instance...I posted up a picture of me on another forum awhile back. Because I told my ex people would guess me as the opposite of my rising. He didn't believe it..so I told him..fine! If a bunch of people who know astrology well guess me as a Leo. You owe me 15 bucks. So he agreed. Please bare in mind I have no planets in Leo. And of course.. No one guessed my sun as being Sagittarius. But what I got with replies...

Leo x 1000

Coming in next was Scorpio (But still far behind). I found most of the water sign people guessed me as Scorpio.

Why did the other people guess Leo?
Because my hair. I have extremely thick beach wavy hair naturally. Like mad scientist styled. lol I always straighten it out. But I have a lot of crazy in your face hair. I wear a lot of really artsy way out there things and I love fashion/making things that are really loud.

I noticed that I also have a tendency to guess someones Sun as what their opposite rising is too. But then like my Scorpio ex. Who had Taurus rising. He looked like a Scorpio. There was something so so so extremely Scorpio there.

When I ask my ex's what sign would have guessed me as with all you know about astrology now..And they all say..Leo.

Anyone else ever run into this?

I had another Literature Professor (male) who was mad cool ask me what I would guess his sign as b/c he had my ex boyfriend in his class and my ex had mentioned I loved astrology and I am typically good at pinning down other peoples sign.
And my Professor was like.."I am interested..this could be the moment of change for me.." and I was like,"If I am wrong about this I will be very very shocked. But I am completely positive you're an Aquarius and I've told Jon (my ex) this too." And he was like, "You've changed me to your ways..how did you know?"
My reply, "Because I don't know many guys who would just wear one earring that's a dangle fish skeleton."
And he started laughing. I told him just how he talks and how he is very diverse with his interests. Also how it doesn't matter what race,sex,or religion you are. Plus he is totally original. I haven't met anyone quite like him. And I think he liked me telling him that the most :-p

Nobody I know in real life studies astrology in depth, but a psychic I saw this previous November said she was not suprised I was a Cancer based on my energy field. She said there was just so much emotional energy surrounding me.

I think that yout sun in sag with your asc in aqua combine to give a leo-like look. Sag has the enthusiasm needed to be center of attention of a leo and an aqua rising would give someone inner pride, warmth, friendliness, and subtle grace and tact. I think both of those combined would make someone look like a leo. Artsy and bohemian is very typical of both aquarius and sag, tho so it's not surprising that you dress that way. But what I'm saying is that sags usually come off as not very proud (how could they when they really dont take themselves seriously) and aquas do come off quite a bit proud. And sags are mutable so they come off as crazy and unpredictable--which leo is a fixed sign so they do not appear that way--their energies are more slowly released and they seem more calm, centered and focused on one thing. That is also what aqua is like bc they're both fixed, so I also think that the mutable fire and fixed air would combine to seem leo-like.

However there is a tremendous innocence abd extreme need to be bubbly at all times and the center of attention in leo rising that aqua rising is definitely the opposite of--even though they also come off as kind and humanitarian. But aqua rising comes off as cool, suave, and collected (remember air signs are the most human so they are very graceful and well-mannered) but leo ascendant has animal instinct....rawr...they act on impulse and are happy and sunny at all times.
