I was just thinking of some astrological things I would like answers to.
Write down any of your questions and maybe someone can answer.
I have two questions.
If you have an unaspected planet, does someone HAVE to aspect it for you to feel attached?

If you have a Void(i.e. earth void, fire void) are you attracted to what you do not have or are you repelled by it?

Please, ask ANY question no matter how weird or strange you may feel it is

I think you're combining things we don't usually combine. When we talk of unaspected planets, it's with regard to our own individual charts. Within your chart the unaspected planet may act out and take over in situations because it's not connected in or bound to (or by) the rest of the chart. Someone else's chart aspecting that planet won't resolve the detachment within your chart. You'll continue to deal with that in your own personality.

I think you're attracted to it, but despite the attraction you still don't really know how to deal with it. It's like living vicariously through someone else's experience, but you still don't quite relate.

the only thing that attracts me to my void is that i envy some of their qualities...but i couldnt stand them for very long or on an intimate level

I have a void of fire in my chart other than my ascendant, and yes, I'm not really a go-getter or flashy or really anything fire signs encompass. But all the men I date and my closest friends are ALL fire signs. Being a Libra, I think to make up for the lack of fire I find others who are. I like keeping up with them

My boyfriend has no earth in his chart, and boy is that obvious. He has a hard time getting things done and sticking to what he says. He just has no earth to ground him lol. He means well, he's just floating around in the clouds.

My brother, bless his heart, has NO water at all. And he's already a damn flighty Gemini guy :P I think insensitive is the best word to use in his situation. He can just be so unfeeling? My mom has always remarked on this and then I explained to her about the qualities of water in astrological terms and she was like, OMG IT ALL MAKES SENSE. lol

OK,Nicki
So you would NOT be with the people with which you have the void, then?

I don't have a void, but speaking from synastry of friends/interests I attract a disproportionate number of people who have Air voids (my strongest element).

I have a lack of water in my chart, and I agree with Nicky - while it's interesting to meet people who are strong water, it just doesn't work out, nor friends or relationship wise. It's like we speak two different languages.

As for the unaspected - AG, I value your opinion immensely, but I feel that Ami has a point. I consider people to be permanent transits, and my moon is unaspected - I share a conjunction with one of my best friend's sun, and also one with someone's ascendant that I believe to be the love of my life

When you have an unaspected planet,THAT planet rules in synastry---any synastry--friend,romantic.
If that planet had bad aspects, forget it LOL

I agree with the idea that the unaspected planet may figure into your synastry with another person. I'm not sure that a person with an unaspected planet needs another person's chart to aspect that planet in order for both to get along. Additionally, I believe whatever ways the unaspected planet plays out within it's native's chart, it will continue to do so regardless of other people's charts aspecting it.

Regarding voids, I only have one planet in water. I am semi-fascinated with how water people work, though I think I'm a bit dry for them.

Oh, don't say that, Ami! I've lived just fine with mismatched dishes, truth be told, but I personally would never subject myself to that if I lived alone. I would have perfect collections at least as far as silverware, dinnerware, and glassware. I wouldn't mind the cooking/preparation items to be random.

I've noticed that when a person lacks an element - their parents and close family have an abundance of the element. Is that true for you guys?

I was thinking that maybe a lacking element is the result of over-done parenting.

Parents with a predominance in fire might *fight* their kids' fights... instead of letting their son/daughter handle things themselves.
As a result, this child could grow up thinking that someone else will always protect them and stand up for them - and that, they needn't stand up for themselves. Hence - their lack of fire.

Parents with a predominance in air might organise parties and events for their child so that they almost socialise on behalf of the child... and the air-less individual grows up thinking they needn't make an effort socially.

Parents with a predominance in water could desperately try to shield their children from any emotional pain.. They could hide hurtful/painful family events. They could be over-protective in a way that prevents the child from experiencing love and loss. Hence this person would grow up with no real emotional background.

Parents with a predominance in earth could take care of all practical details and things. This child would always have money/clothes/toys dropped in his/her lap. They wouldn't be taught to work for money or to fix their own toy when it breaks down.
Instead the parent will simply do everything for them. Voila - the lack of earth adult - who usually expects practical details to be taken care off by others.

This is just a theory. What do you think?

I know 2 sisters, one lacks fire(although sag asc),other air. NoFire Sister compulsively goes after fun, loud, wild people, and has trouble when it gets to desicion-making or being assertive; NoAir Sister is don't-give-me-that-ideas/philosophy/intellectual-BS type she is the strongest Earth I know.

When you lack an element, you can compensate for it in other ways
like having planets in the houses of the element you lack
or a conjunction with a planet that rules the element that you lack.

example, if you lack water but your Sun or Moon is conjunct Pluto or Neptune (water planets) or
if you lack fire and your Sun or Moon is conjunct Mars or Jupiter (fire planets)

Lacking an element but having the Ascendant in that element is usually enough.

This is true for me... my parents are all Water/Air and I'm mostly Fire/Earth. We don't understand each other at all. My parents are emotionally and moody and they can go days being ****** off at each other. Where I rather settle the situation. I can't stand someone being ****** off and not talking for days on end.

Lol, I was reading what Betty Boop said, and I was thinking, nah, not my parents, she's all air and he's all earth, and when she explained further, I was like - oh, wait, that IS me, I have been shielded, and manipulated, etc. So yes, my mom does have a venus-mars conjunction in pisces (she passed it on to me, but the conjunction is in aries).

lalalinda, you're also right. I don't consider mercury in pisces to be an important element in my chart, but I do feel that pluto in first, opposed to my personal planets, and moon in eight, compensate for the lack of water. Still, Scorpio people annoy me, I only know one who is "evolved". The rest are textbook scorps, they simply don't comprehend the "live and let live" attitude.

Hi Lalalinda
I was thinking about you and missing you!

Good point about using other parts of the chart to make up for the void.
I have Saturn conjunct the ASC with an exact trine to Mars.
This is a huge saving grace.

Talk about a planet that either conjuncts your ASC or is in your first house.
How does it feel?
Do you feel strongly connected to this planet as you do with your Sun?

I wish I knew my parents astrological make-up better. Superficially, if I only consider the Suns, it doesn't work. Both parents are fire Suns. I have three fire planets. A theoretical chart I made for my dad (April 14, 1950 in Havre, MT; time unknown) I believe had a Pisces Moon. He and my older sister both have regularly watery eyes.
