Hi Everyone,I have read what people generally feel when they have Saturn placements at different places however personal experiences would be good to hear from you. I would start with : I have Saturn in 11th so since childhood I didn't had really that many dreams or wishes. In fact recently I am filled with it. I for long decided that if I fulfilled other people's dreams my dreams would be fulfilled. Part of me still believe this but since I am little elder I have realized I can't be doormat and learn to say NO.Any demand by elders or others becomes top priority for me. I had practically no proper teenage years as I was more busy being mature when I was a teenager. As for Friends I always have been attracted to older friends and lately I had to try very hard to be with younger ones. I know that I can achieve my dreams and I also know I am very good in social, group settings however there is always nervousness or stage fright kind of experience. There is always having group is necessity at the same time it is question mark on how can I do it right. I find people mostly not sticking around with me too long. Seems as if I am doing something wrong or not enough. I have been always been very interested in people. One of the ways I am going to work with bringing groups of people together is by getting married. Saturn being in Libra is obvious for now as well. I am very interested to know what Saturn in First house and Seventh house how are they affected and what can they do to face their fears? IP: Logged |

Saturn in 3rd. I have to keep it in check by threatening to medicate... hahahaha. Seriously.I have GREAT stamina with facts and information, but this placement can make me downright mentally paralyzed and morose. So, yes. I keep it at bay with proper anti-depressants, physical activity, positive life and healthy choices. I use my focus for positive things. IP: Logged |

Saturn in the 12th. I am depression-prone in cycles. It stems from alot of things but the root seems to be the fear that life is random and meaningless. I keep it at bay by retreating into my own fantasy subconscious. In other words: escapism. IP: Logged |

I have Saturn conjunct the ASC. My life has been a struggle to maintain my sanity and identity. I hold on to it as if it is THE most precious thing in the world cuz it is. You can have everything else and it won't work if you don't have your sanity i.e.good emotional and mental health. My life has been a wrestling of my identity away from that of my mothers. That is my struggle in a nutshell. Saturn conjunct the ASC prolly shows this. What do I do? Try to see myself as separate from her. That is my all consuming goal and passion,to have an identity separate from her.------------------ Jesus never put his trust in man cuz he knew what was in man. Ami Anne: I don't know whether that helps or not but are you living with your mother? If you feel your mother is such a strong charachter have you tried to detach yourself from her physically? Would you consider doing that?I know there are of course some thoughts, childhood experiences might have left the same thinking pattern but so does so many others. Can you differentiate good and bad? Can you please ellaborate on your situation? I wonder whether you do anything out of her charachter? I mean more rebelling against her or can you find any activities which could nurture you? Lots of love. IP: Logged |

I guess 8th house Saturn somehow works on the same level as the 12th house one...I have 8H Saturn, I can agree with this description completely, and I do believe it's the worst position of all... IP: Logged |

I'm glad you posted about this because my Saturn is literally on the 5th house cusp, to the exact degree. I don't know whether that means it applies to both 5th and 6th houses or what. That damned Saturn.. IP: Logged |

retrograde Saturn in 9th in the primary Gauquelin which is found to be typical of scientists faith, ideals get tested, challenged don't believe in things easily I can be a skeptic I don't follow any type of religion I was an atheist for a few years education is limited due to problems with teachers because the auditory sequential teaching methods don't match with my visual spatial learning style (I don't consider myself learning disabled)and being bored easily. I prefer to educate myself at my own pace When I was in the navy, travel was part of the work I recently had legal issues I decided on a name change that involves changing my last name which is my mother's maiden name to my biological father's last name. I dealt with racial/ethnic/cultural issues.

I was wondering what Saturn in the 9th meant! I relate alot with what Glaucus had to say about the ninth house. *I also cannot commit/be strict with a religion. *I am pretty agnostic *And I definetly struggled in schoool. *Certain subjects just don't click with me, or I have a hard time if the teacher sucks at teaching. Classes like math, science, politcs...the teacher really needs to know how to dumb it down, so I can get it like everyone else. *I got a virus or something when I was two where I lost alot of my langwage, I was held back in preschoool, and was in a special ed preschool for a year I think. *My mom took me to some kind of therepy and gained back my langwage and could look people in the eyes again. (Maybe I'll spill my guts about this more another time.) *I've been in with normal kids since I got to elementry school. *I still can't spell for sh*t *I sucked at reading until 6th grade. *I use to sing alot and was sometimes in Operas where I sang in Italian. One time French *I love to travel and want to travel more for pleasure. It keeps me sane, motivated, and happy. *For being a suburbanite my whole life, I feel like I don't travel enough for pleasure. And want do do that more...!Does your mom happen to be a helecopter parent Ami Anne? My mom was like that with me for a while. Shes improved alot. I get along with my mom better now. My older sister told me not to leave my phone alone with her or she'll snoop. But I can't call out my mom as much as I want to, cause then my mom wont confide in my sis anymore, and let me know her tricks. ------------------ Hi! Same. Exact same, my mind gets stuck running around these circles, driving the same points home over and over and I feel like I can't get off that treadmill sometimes. Also have great focus and concentration which are traits I love. IP: Logged |

I've got Saturn in the first, conjunct ASC too...Personally speaking, it felt like boot camp growing up. I never had a normal childhood like everyone else. Couldnt attend birthday parties, halloween, playdates cuz I was on this strict schedule of extra-curricular activities...especially with my music training. My parents never allowed us to say "NO," either or we'd get a beating if we strayed off track (report cards etc). One of my brothers cracked under the pressure & went into deep depression from age 12-17. With Saturn in the first, I would say I handled it much better than him, although I wasnt happy either. My childhood lifestyle was very testing to be self reliant. I studied Piano & Violin professionally under the Royal Conservatory. Even studying Piano alone seriously is a full time career. Normal school 9-3pm, then Music training 4-11pm. Roughly 3-4hrs practice almost daily, with few hours of studying/doing music theory HW & Music History lessons. As you have to take 3 annual exams (playing, written; Music theory & History), ontop of preparing for Competitions & Masterclasses. I was sooO stressed out as a kid, I would have major insomnia. Now as an adult, no matter how stressful life gets, it doesnt feel half as intense as when I was a child. I never want to be a kid again, that's for sure. Here's a very good BBC documentary following the lifestyle of a kid, (aspiring pianist), if anyone's interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiMY2HtxPPI IP: Logged |

*I* just made up Saturn in the first feels like it is losing it's sanity. That was my particular experience, only. Is it other people's? Well, I left home at 18 to go to college .I never went back home but that does not mean my mother was far from my head. She lived in my head and still does. I am trying to evict her with all I have in me. Say a prayer for me and don't stop.I need it ------------------ Jesus never put his trust in man cuz he knew what was in man. AMI, ["*I* just made up Saturn in the first feels like it is losing it's sanity. That was my particular experience, only."]~ Actually I think you are right to say that it "could," result in feeling like losing sanity. As I feel, Saturn was a test to force me to try & keep my sanity intact, a.k.a. strengthen & become self reliant enough in every aspect inorder to keep from cracking under pressure. In essence, if you think about it, your experience & mine are the same coin, but opposite sides. Saturn can lay a karmic smackdown on, if we dont learn it's 1H lessons. Either gain your sense of self, or lose it. Losing it then results in feeling like losing sanity! IP: Logged |

Saturn in the first I was the oldest child in a very large family, so for me it was all about responsibility for my sisters and brothers. In a sense I was my Mother's right hand and coming from a family whose father was in the Military, there were long periods when he was away. I've always had to make decisions and more or less lead my siblings but I also knew I couldn't make any life altering mistakes. I was very aware of the consequences of my actions. Not much has changed IP: Logged |

Saturn in the 9th here…I had an unconventional upbringing, there was some home schooling, but I never truly made it into an actual school until about 8 years of age. By then I was far behind the other kids, and I had to struggle to catch up. I was quite shy as a child and other kids would make fun of me, calling me ‘stupid’. For a couple of years after I first started public school it was all too much for me. I started to retreat into my own little dream world, ignoring the teasing and just floating through my lessons. I made a minimal effort but I didn’t really give it my all. Neptune falls in my 12th (day dreaming) and Pluto falls in my 11th (teasing and humiliation in a group setting?) Then at around age 12, just before entering high school in my country they decided to hold me back a year before I could move on up. It was as if this made everything click into place. I remember clearly deciding at around this age that I wanted to be a good student from then on, and that I needed to be if I wanted my future quality of life to be good. At around this time I also started to cultivate my intense passion for astrology which I’m sure is a life-long thing. I worked my butt off in school for the next year. Then again all throughout high school. I developed a reputation for being a scholar in my class, and went on to graduate High School, and then go to collage, where I also graduated and with good grades. The mind-set in collage suited me better then in all my previous schooling, it was up to your own discretion when and how you studied, and the subject matter was more compelling and interesting. I was able to use my own self-discipline and penchant for organization to get myself through my courses. I have always had a very curious mind, and I do really enjoy understanding things. My mind tends to want to see the overall pattern of how something works and then fill in all the details as I go along (My Saturn is in the 9th in VIRGO) . Another thing I noticed with Saturn in the 9th is that it makes integrity very important to me. I feel it’s very important to have the self-control to stick to your principles and do the right thing. A weak moral character is very repellent to me. I also very much believe in God, and although I don’t go to a Christian church I do accept a lot of the morels associated with it. Like thou ‘shelt not steal’, and ‘do unto others as you would have done unto yourself’, and so on. Also, Saturn in the 9th exactly (less then a degree) sextiles Jupiter in the 7th and trines Venus in the 1st, and I have always had a conservative attitude towards love and marriage. My sun sign is Capricorn so Saturn rules my sun to boot, and Sag is rising in my chart so Jupiter is my chart ruler. I’ve noticed that Saturn tends to cause struggle in whatever area it resides, but this struggle often forces the individual to become very accomplished in this area if they put forward the effort required to overcome their challenges. Those that break under the pressure can feel defeated and become depressed, but even then it’s never to late to work on yourself to better your situation. Saturn is like a task-master testing you and challenging you until you become an expert on his issues and themes.

Saturn in the 4th house. A tendency to live in the past and possibly a strong attachment to your mother make it difficult to leave home. If afflicted, you can be limited or unhappy in later years, and often become a recluse . You likely had a rather hard early life with strict or authoritarian parents, or perhaps an absent parent. That is quite true.
