anyone have any stories to share of odd matches between the "lights"?im particularly curious about leo-capricorn, this has said to be one of those "odd" matches that "work" (president obama and his wife for example, leo sun/cap sun) IP: Logged |

maybe the reason why quincunx in suns work is because other planets next to ones own sun, could make opposition or trine aspects to compensate, but more importantly, if we think of the sun representing leo as a planet, then both individuals sun/s / leo/ ego's don't "notice" eachother (quincunx/ timing) and therefore are not competing or getting in eachothers way. = peace (allows both to have their own "kingdoms")IP: Logged |

Quincunxes aren't about ignoring.
I don't think suns not working can be compesated by other aspects.

Quincunx-connected suns are very interesting, indeed.
My Leo-mom and Cap-dad for example, great marriage and their intellectual level was an eternal thrill of pleasure (dad passed away).In my own experience it seems that when it comes to these Suns there's one of them (or both?) with this compelling feeling to help the other, to be there for him in a way, something you can't get away from.. something untouchable about the other person like living in two different worlds or something mystical, exactly like Linda wrote about this connection.
In one way or the other I've always had this with Pisces and Cap (as a Leo-Sun myself). IP: Logged |

My daughters dad is a Cap.. We were together for about 4 years or so.. He was just mean.. He was controlling and possiseive. He lowered my self esteem. But of course I cant say every Leo/Cap relationship is like that.. It was not a good relalationship for me. IP: Logged |

Ah, this one I could totally relate. (at least on the attraction part  )I guess that's one of the reasons I'm terribly attracted to Caps (and feel comfortable and unthreatened) despite me being Leo. I just got a good look at my chart and realized I am very earthy than firey. lol in fact fire is my least element, only with Leo as my Sun. XD And I agree with Mir, I am really compelled to help this Cappie that I really like, being the bouncy and sunny leo that I am, since he tends to be very self-criticizing and negative. That's also my Venus in Cancer right there. I was advised to get away because I might get dragged down eventually, but... I really am stubborn and still like him anyway. :x so I compromise by making my Aqua Moon and Rising dominate so I still manage to be detached. But nevertheless, my other planets really seem to hook me with these seemingly odd sun matches. (might get troublesome in the long run? XD) IP: Logged |

Lol that's exactly what my Leo-mom with Cancer-venus/Libra-Moon/Virgo-Asc-Merc-Mars always said about my dad.
Well, she not only felt the need to brace him up with her sunny nature.. (my dad was a REAL Cap and her opposite even tough he had Moon/Venus/Mercury in Sag), when she met him (shortly after) she even helped him to repay this big debt he had and took a home loan from her boss! Hmm that good old sixties 
She wasn't afraid to help because she felt she could trust and I guess... FUTURE! (well here I am) Letram, hm.. I've no experience with this quincunx in Sun/Moon synastry.

Here it is!This is what I referred to in my first post.
I devoured these pages about sunsign patterns in my teens...
Note: this source is from pages 895-896 of Linda Goodman's LOVE SIGNS book -1978
The 6-8 pattern works this way:
Aries ... Virgo and Scorpio
Taurus ... Libra and Sagittarius
Gemini ... Scorpio and Capricorn
Cancer ... Sagittarius and Aquarius
Leo ... Capricorn and Pisces
Virgo ... Aries and Aquarius
Libra ... Taurus and Pisces
Scorpio ... Aries and Gemini
Sagittarius ... Taurus and Cancer
Capricorn ... Gemini and Leo
Aquarius ... Cancer and Virgo
Pisces ... Leo and Libra
You will have some problems in communicating with these individuals born under the Sun Sign here opposite your own.
