Hey,

I have a question. It is about Mercury ruled people. Looking at the examples I know of people who have either a Virgo Moon or Gemini Moon etc it seems like they all have very differnet ways of relating, and in a sense it seemed as though some of them were more emotional. An example is my Virgo Moon with Pisces Mercury ex seemed like he struggled with the emotionally of his Pisces Mercury (and Venus Conjunt Neptune/Cancer DSC) and then being a heartless Aqua Sun. Like he would try to be detached but it never seemed like he really was, it kinda seemed like how he felt at that moment dictated eveything. More so than myself an actual Water sign.

Plus he was difficult to talk to as he would swear up and down he was rational, all the while he wasn't (plus he wasn't witty and he was an Air sign). Another example is I have a Gemini Moon ex who has his Mercury in Cancer...he isn't witty AT all...in fact he talks SOOOOO much about the past and his family and stuff I don't want to talk about lol. His Mercury is Conjunct my Sun/Rising/and Asc so in theory I should like talking to him but he is SOOO boring to talk to (I typically can't talk to Water Mercury signs as my Leo Mercury gets bored with them being so taciturn). And another example is my Virgo Moon roommate she is a Cap Sun/Virgo Moon with Mercury and Venus in Aqua and I LOVE talking to her. She literally is the perfect blend of pseudo sensitivity (she is a Cap Sun lol) and wittiness plus she is SOOO down to earth. My last example is of a Virgo Rising double Sag Moon guy with Venus and Mercury in Scorp. He again was SOOOO difficult to talk to. Not only was he secretive (similar to both the Aqua and Gemini) but he also was mean when hurt (which again I noticed in the Aqua), and getting him to talk about anything emotional without me first revealing how I felt was impossible (the Aqua did it as well).

So looking at all these cases it seems to me that when one is Mercury influenced and their Mercury is in a water sign they are not at all Mercury like...but actually seem to embody the sign of their Mercury or (such as my ex the Virgo rising seemed much more Scorp Like). If this is the case does that mean that their Moon's or whatever they have Virgo or Gemini in take on the placement of their Mercury and seem to overshadow the Virgo/Gemini qualities. For instance a Virgo Moon and Mercury in Aqua is rational (irregardless of the Sun) as compared to a Moon in Virgo with Mercury in Cancer and them thinking they are rational due to the Virgo Moon...but really everything they do is based off of emotion(a la the Cancer Mercury placement) or finally a Virgo Venus or Sun man with Mercury in Leo is actually attracted to women with Leo qualities (or comes off as a Leo) as opposed to the "typical" things you'd like as a Virgo Venus. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks.

I know a Gemini Moon/Cancer Mercury man and from my perspective he is awesome and witty lol
He rarely talks about anything private, but he's very guarded.

I have a Pisces Mercury. It's interesting to see your perspective. I've never had problems with Leo Mercury as such.. I have several friends who are Leo Suns with Leo Mercuries (they trine my Aries Sun, and it still *works*).

But, truth be told - I much prefer *other* water Mercuries in conversation. Scorpio Mercury is my all-time favourite.
I can understand why you'd find it boring or frustrating that Water Mercuries are on the quiet side.. But I LOVE it lol That's just the way we interact. It's all in the eyes.. We like to feel each other out. That's what I love most about communicating with a fellow Water Mercury.. We FEEL so many undercurrents - that there almost is no need for words.

I wouldn't say Mercury would kill a relationship though, because you can always have *other* aspects that aid in communication.

But I always have a soft spot for the watery Mercuries.. They make me the most comfortable - so I totally get you -- having a Leo Mercury, you would feel that way about fire Mercuries.

I deff agree...and kinda understand. These guys with water Mercuries tend to open up to me rather quickly. I think that is where the problem lies. I get the whole not communicating without words. And I love that...as a Cancer Sun I do it. And I think that is why these guys with water Mercuries graviate towards me. HOWEVER I also have a super cautious Cap Moon which needs EVERYTHING verbalized. And I can actually deal with confrontation (unlike quite a few of the Water Mercury guys I know...despite me being a Cancer Mars). Plus my Mercury is Square Pluto so combine that with my Cap Moon...and Sun and Mars in the 1st Conjunct my Asc so you tend to get someone who is very much so upfront about everthing...and comes off as the typical Cancer, but is anything but.

I will say (and I'm hoping as a Water mercury you get this) but I do have with these guys where I can just feel how they feel. It's like I know how they feel about me or something without me even having to have them say it. But I feel better when it is verbalized as I tend to not trust my intuition. Hopefully that makes sense what I said lol.

I have a Virgo Moon/Gemini Venus with a Cancer Mercury, making my Moon and mercury in mutual reception. I pretty much like talking about anything BUT my personal life unless I'm *extremely close* to the other person. When I was younger I used to looove to talk about the person I fancied, to anyone who listened. Now I've curbed that for very good reasons. I still think I'm very mercurial, but the water placement of my mercury just adds more depth. I love to read, I can multitask, I have a good eye for detail, file away things, and I do skim over directions that I shouldn't skim over.

Unfortunately, my life is pretty much devoid of water mercuries...I rarely ever come across them. Every person in my life has a fire or air mercury. Luckily, some of them have water suns, moons, venuses, etc but I do wonder what it would be like with another water mercury.

And also, mercurial influence comes in two forms: extroverted (gemini) and introverted (virgo). The latter is not very talkative to begin with, unless its a nervous wreck.

Cap Sun, Gemini Rising, Virgo Moon here.

Only water placement is Mars in Scorpio.

My Mercury is in Sag along with two other planets. I also have two Capricorn planets.

I have Moon conjunct Pluto, so if the interpretations are right, I have deep emotions, but I keep them under wraps. I like being in control of them.

I prefer straight forward conversation. I'm part of an improv group, and my comedy is typically playful or dry. I've never been the most verbose speaker, so I try to make it count when I do.

I would say that my general demeanor is approachable. Gemini Rising and Virgo Moon gives me a decent, well kept appearance.

I have a friend who is also a Capricorn Sun with Gemini Rising. He's a later degree Capricorn, but our Ascendants are conjunct. He's WAY more emotional than I am. He's a lefty, too, which may have something to do with it. He's actually got a four planet stellium in Aquarius, which suggests that maybe Aquarius isn't the emotionally aloof sign it's supposed to be. When he acts out, which is fairly often, it's often in an Aquarian @sshole kind of way. He's tremendously insecure, which -I think- is why he likes me. I'm pretty dry, and don't need others to make me feel good about myself. Also, his judgment is much poorer than my own. It's kind of disappointing. I was researching for a purchase recently, and his considerable input was generally terrible.

BM you remember that Aqua Sun with Virgo Moon guy...he was actually SUPER talkative...to the point where he rambled on. This was deff not a trait I noticed in both Aqua's and Virgo Moons. He had ADHD and took Strattera, Adderall for the ADHD, and Amitriptyline for sleep. And yes he straight up was a NERVOUS Wreck. It was terrible actually. The Gemini wasn't so bad he wasn't introverted so much as he just didn't talk all the time like the Aqua. The Aqua annoyed me alot actually because sometimes you don't need to talk to hear the sound of your voice. In fact he used to say he was a good talker and could pretty much talk himself into anything (but I think that was more his 1st house Sun talking lol...even his facebook profile name is McAwesomville lol...I have one so I deff can spot another 1st house Sun and how big of an ego we can have lol).

I'm currently kinda crushing on a Cancer Sun/Cap or Aqua Moon guy with Virgo Venus and his Mercury is in Leo. We went out to bars last night and every girl he spotted that he wanted to get with was super amazing looking. Like way over what he could get. Anyway a friend of mine and I talked that perhaps it was his Leo Mercury and the need to want literally the best that fueled that in him.

Hmmmm, I've never really seen Virgo Moon as a talktative placement...atleast not in me and the people I know. You have to bring it out in us..LOL. Its odd, he has the same mars, ASC, and moon placements as mine and he's nothing like me...haha.

And re: the Cancer, I think that's just his Virgo Venus. Every Virgo Venus I've known (male and female) wants a supermodel. Mercury in Leo probably makes him want a supermodel.... with amazing hair and make-up.

*edit* Most of the other people in my life complain that I can be a little too quiet...I wonder if its the whole mercury issue LOL. I must say that air mercuries are alot easier to talk to than fire mercuries...when I feel like making conversation, that is.

LOL I know its so strange.

He was a Cap Rising with his Venus and Neptune loosely Conjunct his Asc
Aqua Sun in the 1st (so I think that is again why he was soooo out there with a ego...even though he came off as a nice guy a la the Venus Asc Conjunction when you first met him).
I actually think the Venus Asc Conjunction is the reason why people like him when they first meet him and then get annoyed with him because he is overbearing due to the 1st house Sun (he even lost groups of friends he had for years due to him complaining too much, and just being a moody jerk)
There were times where the Virgo Moon came out loud and clear...mainly when we were alone acutally.
He had a Pisces Mercury
Venus in Cap Conjunct Neptune in the 12
And his Aries Mars in the 3rd

I didn't realize that about the Virgo Venus wanting perfection. Which makes sense. Virgo anything wants perfection, however I would assume that one (especially a Virgo) would take into a consideration their own standing lol. I also know what I just said is such a Leo thing...rankings and where you stand etc lol.

Our aspects and houses are probably waaay different. Saturn, ruler of cap, is in the 12th for me as a part of a stellium. And of course, I have a 7th house sun, not 1st, so I'm more inclined to listen first and then say my piece. My moon is also conjunct Lilith, trine neptune, and sextile pluto. My Aries mars is also in the 3rd but mostly afflcted (part of a T-Square). Basically I have a strong emphasis on the 6th and 12th houses of service/isolation...whats his story?

I still think his venus in the 12th is where his issues are stemming from in this area...especially if its mal aspected. However, Virgo Moon enforces most of its perfectionists standards....on itself. Nothing like the Venus placement, which is happy to enforce that on other people..LOL. I feel that whenever you combine a Virgo Moon with 12th house or pisces influence you're gonna get someone with alot of existential guilt. I know it to be true to for myself and I've been trying to fight it forever, but I can't help it.

I have moon, venus and mercury in libra and my mercury conjuncts my desc by approx 4'.

I can be pretty detached sometimes in terms of thinking and thought processes, but when it comes to emotional things, sometimes I'd rather not talk about it cos I'm actually very sensitive inside.
