What aspects or placements will make a person talkative? I recently met a guy who makes my head spin from so much chatter. He's gorgeous and a bit awkward. He actually reminds me of the Mr. Bingley character from Pride and Prejudice- suffers from a bit of foot-in-mouth disorder every time he speaks. He's highly intelligent, but it's like watching Nascar in person when listening to him: he speaks in a way that makes you feel like you've missed something when you only turned away for a split second.

Any ideas? They're always greatly appreciated Btw, I don't have his birth date. Even so, I'm thinking there has to be a boatload of Gemini in his chart.

LOL! Believe it or not, that actually sounds like myself People have told me that listening to me talk gives them headaches because of the incessant chattering

If it helps, I have Gemini moon opposing Sagittarius merc which is conjunct Uranus. And Sagittarius rising.

I also have a very good friend whom even I (incessant chatterer) find too chatty at times. He also has Sagittarius rising, but mercury in Pisces. In 3rd house, though.

So I'm guessing it might be one of these positions, or any others that anyone can tell about

Haha. I wish I had his birth data to toy around with. He has so many interesting things to say. Honestly, I'm in awe of him when I understand him. He's also very inquisitive about life and books. He's even committed his life's career to books and writing and discussion of both. Yes, he's an English professor. Would you say that Aquarius has something to do with this? Or his awkwardness?

Delilah...I would look at where is his 3rd house placement. Look and see what sign is occupying that. I have Leo on my 3rd house cusp (plus Leo Mercury)...and I'm fairly talkative. But I have Mercury Pluto Square so I think that lowers some of the chattiness.

Lol. Ami, I think so too.

I'm thinking he has Gemini or Aquarius Rising. He has to have strong Gemini somewhere, except there's no duality in his personality that I can see yet. He's very focused and can go on and on without anyone's help.

I can be quite talkative, motor mouth.
I can speak rapidly which is part of cluttering.
I tend to to talk to myself.
I am also very high strung with a lot of nervous energy which can make it hard for me to sleep unless I am listening to New Age/meditation/classical/or other soft types of music.

I have Virgo Ascendant, and my chart ruler Mercury is in 3rd house. I also have Venus,Jupiter, and Neptune in 3rd.

I believe that the following configurations are actually more important

My Mercury in 18'21 Scorpio
oppose/conjunct the Heliocentric Mercury Nodes in 18'00 Taurus/Scorpio
oppose/conjunct the Heliocentric Mars Nodes in 19'20 Taurus/Scorpio

that means that my thoughts/commmunications are at odds with/merge with collective thoughts/communications (Mercury Nodes) and collective assertion/passion/physical drive (Mars Nodes)

with my Mercury oppose/conjunct its Heliocentric Nodes, I have what is called MAXIMUM EFFECTIVENESS.

Heliocentric Nodes of all objects move up to 1 degree per century. They are ultra-slow moving, and so they have to do with the collective.

Aspects to the heliocentric nodes of an object is actually more significant than an aspect to the object itself.

That is what Dane Rudhyar and Carl Payne Tobey believed, and that is what I believe.

A person that has strong connection to the heliocentric nodes of an object can be a spokesperson, channel in regards to the energy of the object. I can be a spokesperson, channel in regards to Mercurial and Martian matters.

Heliocentric Nodes can be calculated here:

or the Nodes of Uranus (Heliocentric or Geocentric)

I have Ascendant/Descendant square my Heliocentric Uranus Nodes in Gemini/Sagittarius with 25 minute orb and Midheaven/Imum Coeli oppose/conjunct Geocentric South Uranus Node with 50 minute orb.

Therefore, I have a strong connection to collective Uranian matters.

Mercury basically exploded all over my chart and although I'm not extremely social I can be quite talkative, unfortunately it's usually me just saying things that are inappropriate.

My ex has Mercury conj Mars in Leo PLUS Sun in Leo and you can not shut this guy up. In conversations I can't get a word in edgewise. All he does is talk talk talk.e will work hard to convince you that his way is right and will come up with stuff to make you think you lost a debate when he switches topics....

So that is one aspect for you.

I am the extreme opposite. I have a 12th house Mercury in Taurus.

My ex had sun (canc) and mercury in 3rd house (gem)
venus was conjunct mercury (by 2' max) but it was in 2nd house (still gem though)

Oh god, this is my daughter, Aquarius Rising, Uranus in the 1st, Gemini Sun trine Asc, Moon conj Uranus in the 1st. (She has Venus in the 3rd, Mercury in Cancer in the 5th trine Uranus, sextile Venus.)

Also it's my half brother, Gemini Rising, Mercury in Gemini conj Asc, Mars in Aquarius conj the Mc in Aquarius. He also has Venus in Gem in the 1st. (His 3rd house is empty, its ruler the Sun is in the 12th. Mercury is unaspected save for the aspects to the angles.)

Also my biological maternal Grandmother, Gemini Rising, Jupiter in Gemini conj Asc, Moon in Gemini but in the 12th, conj Uranus. (She has Pluto in the 3rd, Mercury in Libra in the 5th, trine Jupiter sextile Venus.)

They can dance circles around anyone.

My son is Aquarius with Gemini rising, and he never.shuts.up.... even when he's on the toilet, he has something to say! I asked his teachers if it was causing problems in class, and apparently, he knows when to zip it at school... wouldn't change him, though it does sometimes drill into me somewhat

Lol. Lonake, he certainly dances circles around everyone, but expects them to keep up. When he asks me something he asks the question and buries it. I've learned to just pay attention to the first and let him ramble. Sometimes he'll look at me as if he's shocked when I reply or pause and stare at me before he starts talking again. I don't know if he's just surprised someone's there, that I said anything at all, or if I said the wrong thing.

Thank you, Glaucus. Should I ever find out his birthday this will help.

I was thinking that maybe he's a Gemini or Virgo rising, but if your rising sign really can describe your appearance, like I've read, then maybe not. He's a tall, kinda lanky redhead, with pale blue eyes. Sagittarius rising? Or is trying to guess the rising sign by appearnce a waste of time?

Dear Delilah
I am thinking Uranus is doing something with Mercury or the ASC as people said.

Do you have his birthday?
You got my Gemini curiousity going

I just checked again, and both my friend's and my 3rd house cusp fall in Aquarius (I knew mine, wasn't sure about his ). He also has Uranus in the 1st - so there's definitely that Aquarius-Uranus-Mercury thing going on with the two of us, so I have to agree, it does seem to be Gemini or Aquarius influence

you're welcome

as for ascendant appearance, I am skeptical of that stuff

2 of my mom's paternal half siblings have a Sagittarius Ascendant.
They have light brown/dark tan skin and brown hair. My Uncle Dino is 5'8, and my Aunt Isabel is 5'3.
They are Portuguese,Puerto Rican,and Spanish.

I have Virgo Ascendant.
I have light brown/dark tan skin and black hair. I am 5'11. I am taller than average height of 5'9.
I am of African,Portuguese,English,German,French Italian,Puerto Rican,and Native American descent.
I look obviously multiracial for anybody that has been around multiracial people. I resemble somebody that fits with Latino,Arab, or Polynesian. Anybody who is not clueless about mixed race people can tell that I am mixture of Black and White aka mulatto. I also have the high cheekbones from my Native American ancestry. My mom told me that and told me that I look a bit Native American.

My maternal grandmother had fiery auburn hair. She was 5'9. She had a Taurus Ascendant.
She was of English,German,French, and Italian ancestry. There is a possibility of Jew ancestry in her.

Thanks Aya. I can imagine the two of you going on and on in conversation with each other

Glaucus, are their expressions anything like their rising sign?
I'm a Capricorn rising and have a serious look when I first meet people, but with Aquarius not too far behind it flies out the window within two minutes of talking. I love to laugh and appreciate a dirty joke to break boredom. I'm always smiling or laughing when around friends. Then again, that might have something to do with Jupiter being in my first house.

I'm not too sure about this one. Maybe it depends on what is genetically possible, I don't know... but generally what you describe would be the typical physical description of a Sagittarius rising. I fit the red hair and pale blue eyes description, but I'm rather short at 5'2. I am considered tall within my family, but it's no surprise if you know that the average height within my family is 5'0 My friend is very tall, but he has no red hair - even with his Irish heritage - I also know someone who does fit the description entirely, but he has Pisces rising, for certain...

With this guy you describe, for some reason I am tempted to go for an air rising. But I have been considerably wrong before, so...

And yes, we do talk a lot among each other. Once we start talking there's absolutely no stopping us! It's kind of funny sometimes! It did lead acquaintances of us to think there was something more going on between us
