I am really interested in all aspects between Mercury and Uranus.
I will say that I am SO glad I don't have any hard aspects.
I have ,virtually,NO Uranus aspects except for a conjunction with Jupiter and a generational square.
Uranus scares me and alot lolIf you put it near Mercury,it scares me the most.
My mother was very Uranian and she scared me so this may be why lol
I am interested in everyone's responses to this thread ------------------

Hey,Well I don't have a hard aspect of Uranus to my Mercury...I have the Trine along with a Square to Pluto. Keep in mind my Mercury is in Leo...in the 2nd house. So I pretty much beat all people on mental stubborness. As far as with me I think that my Mercury Uranus aspect is a blessing. I tend to get things pretty easily, and kinda from out of nowhere (hopefully that makes sense). I also have a pretty strange sense of humor...like I LOVE quirky movies that are deep and make you think (example Inception, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, basically any Wes Anderson film like Rushmore etc). In fact my fave category from my Netflix account is Ceberal Romantic, Quirky Movies (and yes this is a category lol). I also am pretty blunt in my speech. Also I love that is tones down my Pluto passion...and lends a rational quality to me. Like when I finally decide I'm over doing something, or feeling something...I decide it, and then the emotion will change. For me my mental takes place and then the emotional follows (sometimes slowly though as Pluto is Square my Moon, and my Venus is in a Fixed sign). Along with this Mercury Uranus aspect, I have my Sun/and Mars Inconjunct my Uranus Jupiter in Aquarius Sextile (ie a yod), my Sun/Asc and Mars are Contra Parallel Uranus, my Venus in its natural sign Taurus is in the 11th (which trust me is especially hard because Taurus is the natural ruler of Venus so its like the square...my North Node is also in the 11th), and my IC is Square Uranus (and again I'm a Sun/Asc/Mars in Cancer so my 4th house is important and a big giant thorn on my side) so I'm more Uranian than I want to give myself credit for lol. In fact I'm always falling for guys with Aqua or Uranus something...but usually with a blend of water to soften them. IP: Logged |

GirlyGirl, not surprinsingly, all those positive things also apply to me with this aspect, but since mine is a hard aspect it also adds some negatives along with those positives.I'm sorry for all those thorns in your side. Heh. I have mercury opposition uranus as well. I can be very blunt and if I really want to, my words can really cut someone down. Fortunately, I'm also witty, so people tend to find the ridiculous things I say quite amusing. IP: Logged |

Have you got anything in Sagittarius.I have Sag Moon,Aqua Merc and Uranus in the 3rd. I'm rather blunt and tactless but I'm getting better but sometimes stuff just comes out wrong. ------------------

I have Mercury contraparallel Uranus. I agree about the tendency it can lend toward bluntness - I definitely have that *in* me, but usually don't let it out because I have other chart factors mitigating it, a lot of empathy plus my Moon in Libra just thinks it's rude.IP: Logged |

I have the square and yes sometimes gives you a blunt speech and also an inusual way to brainstorm and bring ideas to a group that makes other wonder "what is she talking about"I have noticed that if i dont slow down, people may think what i am talking is non-sense because i need time to organize the storm of things that come to my mind in one second. so, i tend to relate ideas that does not seem related and when i have time to elaborate the logic is there (saturn sextile mercury) but without slowing down, i just risk to be misjudged as crazy or illogical. there is another quality which is the provocation. i sometimes say things just to shake peoples foundations, like i enjoy seeing their reactions when i just pop up ideas that may be shocking. Mercury, Mars and Jupiter all snuggeled up in the 3rd in Aqua, all closely opposing your friend and mine Uranus, all again closely aspecting my Taurus moon in the 6th,,,yea, LOVE my funky fixed t squares...O, and all this fun aspecting my Scorpio asc as well.. Unfortuately my mouth has gotten me in trouble in the past... Since the day I was born. I don't have Mercury in hard aspect to Uranus thank God - the square it makes to my Mars which opposes Uranus is enough thanks! My Mercury falls in the 11th so yes, I have a tendency to 'stranger' eccentric thinking sometimes, but I appreciate this about myself and that aspect in and of itself doesn't cause tension in my life. But, I just recently met some guy who let me check his natal chart with much coaxing... and as I predicted, he had a lot of bad Aquarian influences. A pretty tight square between Rx Libra Mercury and Cap Uranus. He's extremely rude and overly blunt in his way of associating with people and very obsessed with analyzing people. His Mercury is also conjunct a 29th degree Libra Sun which makes sense. Sadly I don't have his birth time so we can't see the house influence. But his eccentricity and coming on abruptly and way too strong with other people - Libra focus - is really evident. He also has Saturn trine Mercury like me. We both have a tendency to get into really long, deep conversations that spiral down and down the rabbit hole... of weirdness. LOL IP: Logged |
