What do the websites say? It is only one aspect in the chart.
I know happily married people who had one person's planet conjuncting the SN

I never heard that this could be bad. It always seemed like a starter soulmate scenario or something to me.

I have a double whammy of this with my most recent guy. I can't say that I'm very drawn to him, but I think we were involved romantically in my german past life, and I got that he was my son in Texas or something like that. I kept getting the subconcious urge to look into it astrologically and psychically or I'd have never looked into him as a soulmate.

It was all in all a good relationship, he's just not someone I could be with in the long term, and I never felt very strongly about him in the right way, but from a personal standpoint, I'm not all that attached to staying with most people. Even if it were perfect I'd have an extremely strong desire to leave someone.

Idk.. I was severely wounded when I met the guy. He helped me through a very difficult period when I kept expecting him to turn around and leave and stab me viciously in the back. After I met the earlier soulmate I did -not- want to meet another one. Perhaps that's why it was so muted. He's christian too and I was strung out on kundalini obsessing over a form of spirituality I wasn't comfortable with.

His venus is conjunct my saturn/sn in scorpio sextile my venus/his sn in capricorn. My eros was also conj his south node and his eros conj my north node.

He gets really cute when he talks about relationship stuff sometimes, and he's sooo sweet. I feel really bad.

I actually like someone's planets conjuncting either of my nodes.

It shows that you're part of that person's lifepath. SN means they feel familiar and "like home"...NN that they stretch and challenge you...either way, it deepens the sense of connectedness.

The websites are sooo doom and gloom about so many things, I'm beginning to find it unhelpful.

This post spurred me to ask about our last life together during WW2 timeframe, and whether the vision is right or not, I don't know. It was very refreshing to some degree as I only knew I was married to a nazi later in that life. Either way, it showed we were french and he was jewish. We had two kids together and he got carted off to a concentration camp and experienced some famine there before dying (he has placements that alluded to a potential there asteroid-wise as does my taurus soulmate whom I met briefly). I lived to the 50's and the german I married was abusive and later killed me.

That could account for some loose ends.

quote:
Venus conjunct other person's South Node (opposite other person's North Node), or square the other person's Nodes

A feeling of instant affection is likely between the two of you. A powerful feeling of needing to be with one another is present, although over time, difficulties and challenges arise that could pull you apart. There may be a time when one or both of you feels that they have "outgrown" the relationship in some way, or that the other person is holding them back--and this is generally felt by the Node person. This combination is sometimes considered an aspect of star-crossed lovers.

I have a both way with venus/SN with gem... I think this fits well.... We have outgrown each other, but we have still tried to keep things going... But Untimely I feel its best to let this go..

Keep in mind this was after a 10yr separation from each other and a reunion.. Before the reunion, I longed for him... Always wondering about him.. I wanted to see him again, so bad... I always knew we would see each other again...

I do have to admit, the first time we saw each other.. I saw fireworks.. I saw cupid flying over my head pointing at him... lol
We did spot each other from across a crowded room..
I refused to leave, until I met him... He followed me home.. We talked until 8am..
They chemistry was just awesome awesome!!

I had this aspect with my boyfriend, we were on and off for many years. It always felt as if we had a familiar loving and comfortable connection. (Though I know this was also due to some other aspects not this one alone, like Moon trine Venus, Moon Conjunct Juno, etc.) I think this aspect can work out if you're mature enough to move forward instead of letting the easiness of this hold you back from your own path. Love is always worth it even through the fear of pain. If you find someone with this aspect and want to share your life with them, just know that if you stay true to yourself and what you feel you don't have to worry. I used to think it was bad because of what cafeastrology and how some fatalistic people interpreted it but from personal experience it was just the fear that my relationship wasn't perfect and that my lack of understanding of love and letting go of control that got me. I don't blame aspects, I blame my personal maturity to be true to what I wanted and what I needed in my life. Me and my ex ended our relationship last year (we moved in together too quick and etc, not astrology problems just failure to deal with my own problems problems lol) but we've recently began to talk to each other again and are working on becoming friends. He's still someone that I can hold special and would never take the love or the experiences and things i've learned back. And I'm better for it, just take responsibility and worry about yourself not the relationship and what you need will come to you. Victoria and David Beckham have this aspect too, just some hope lol I found some other great interpretations on other websites:

South Node is related to where a person is coming from, i.e. their past life or the identity they were given in childhood. North node is where they are going. Sometimes, astrologers see a person's challenge as moving from their South Node sign to their North Node sign throughout life. Therefore, when your Venus is conjunct their south Node, it could mean that you immediately feel like you have always known each other. However, over time it will be necessary to give them the freedom to become who they fully are, or they might feel held back. The problem is that the similarities you share may actually keep them back from facing their issues and growing. This doesn't mean it can't work, it just means that if you aware of this you can ensure that your relationship is both strong and magical as well as constructive for each of your personal growth. If they need to throw a temper tantrum every once in a while and "get some space", your being flexible, understanding and open can be what makes the relationship last.

Venus Opposition North Node poem:

I don’t think of her at all
Except sometimes a painting will remind me
That she loves Magritte
But I don’t think of her at all
I never loved her at all
Except sometimes in the quiet of the night
I keenly miss her calls
But I never loved her at all
She never meant much to me at all
And this restlessness I feel
Has nothing to with her after all
‘Cause she never meant much to me at all
She never was the one for me at all
Too flighty, too stubborn, too flaky
I’m finally well rid of her, y’all
‘Cause she never was the one for me after all.

Pat’s response:
Donna, you don’t say how close Venus and the Sun are to your friend’s South Node. In general, planets have to be within a degree or two of a lunar node to have much of an effect, unless there are other things going in the chart that provide more clues about possible karmic connections.
I do agree with Neith that there is something karmic going on here. I don’t believe in past lives, per se, but I believe that the energies we bring into this life do have relationships with energies that other people bring into their lives, and we attract or repel these accordingly. As Neith said, Venus and the Sun attract and in general are positive.
That said, I do know of one married couple in which the woman’s Venus and North Node are on the man’s Sun and South Node, and while they have a very comfortable and apparently easy relationship, there isn’t a lot of passion, and they appear to have a sort of unspoken contract to keep each other from delving too deeply into who they really are. In other words, they reinforce each other’s laziness about doing the work necessary to wake up and live to their fullest potential.
This strange relationship you are experiencing may simply be a reminder that we all have kindred spirits who come and go out of our lives, and that may be all there is to it. If not — if this is meant to be something more — it will develop when the time is right. Often, that timing happens when a chart point you have in common is triggered by a conjunction from an outer planet.
Good luck!

I have found that Venus conjunct either node always indicates a special type of caring.Whether that person is a friend, family member or lover, having Venus on the nodes shows that no matter what you have a special place in their hearts. There is a strong love connection and fondness for you.Venus on the nodes may add to the sexual chemistry found in other aspects but no matter what it indicates love, pure and simple! It is one of my favorite aspects of all.If you see this in a synastry chart you can be sure the person has a real feeling of caring for you.

It is intense, indicative of quick and warm affection BUT
It is the starcrossed-lovers aspect... Probably life will try to make you apart no matter what... But as counter example there was a famous couple who has it and in some way they achieved it to be together after challenges..

This has to be the most sensible and mature version of south node synastry aspect i've ever read. Usually its all the repetitive doom and gloom descriptions out there on the web. I like the venus and moon aspects to the south node, its shows love and caringness towards the other!

I'm not a fan personally. In my experience it's kind of what you'd expect, the venus person "encourages" or enables the SN person to hold on to behaviors that are comfortable but debilitating in terms of growth...

But his venus was also opposite my sun/saturn/neptune so that probably had something to do with it lol

I had my Sun/Mars conjunct my ex husband's SN, Jupiter conjunct his NN...

He had Sun/Venus/Mars conjunct my SN...

VERY KARMIC... one of those "love at first sight" things where we couldn't wait to be together, but it wasn't a happy union at all. His Saturn/Jupiter conjunction was exact on my ASC and all his Pisces planets (listed above... he was very fishy, lol) fell in my 6th house.

He was HARD WORK!!!!

It might be off topic here but since we are on nodes, what are you guy's take on South Node conjunct Vertex? Is it all gloomy and the person will outgrow one another blah blah too?

From personal experience (my SN on ex's venus), it was definitely ne that I felt "held back" from, but again, it could be attributed to other aspects and our own natals. However, the fact that the "held back" feeling was present was too much of a coincidence. We were very comfortable around each other at first, maybe a bit too quickly, but then later felt the other was a burden.

The reason we didn't work out may also have been because his NN was also on my venus, so it may have been uncomfortable for him as well.

I have NN square venus and I'm guessing this would mean SN conjunct venus? We also have venus sextile chiron and other karmic aspects. This is in a synastry chart.
