Hello everyone

I am pretty new to astrology. For some reason, I am more interested in reading about my "relationship compatibility" with my boyfriend than my own natal chart. I don't really understand why different sites (I only go on free ones) list different aspects though. They only list like 2 or 3. I wish they would list ALL of them and explain what they mean. Is there any way I can get something like that without spending money?

Also, how is it possible that we're both in the same relationship but we have different aspects to each other? When I put him in as 'person 1', different things come up than if I had put myself as 'person 1'.... strange.

Last question: How do you know what's a good orb and what's not? Someone told me "It's a good orb if it's close" but I have no clue what that means lol.

Thanks so much! You have all been so wonderful and so helpful <3

When I first started, I put my charts in Astro.com and clicked on the PDF link at the top to get the full list of aspects. I also looked at the chart key to find out what all the symbols meant. From there I googled each aspect (like "venus square moon synastry" for example).

Orb is the number of degrees an aspect is to exact. Ie: A square is 90 degrees. Lets say you have Mars and Saturn 94 degrees away from each other. So that aspect has a 4 degree orb (94-90=4). Same works if its 86 degrees away (90-86=4). So the closer the orb is to 0, the stronger the aspect is. There's a lot of debate about how wide an orb can be for it to count. Some astrologers only count 3 degree orbs, while others use as wide as 15. Imo, anything above 5 degrees is wide.

Did they remove the 'PDF' link from astro.com? I can't find it...

It might help to first understand your natal and his before you move straight to synastry. Synastry is pointless unless you have a good grasp on what is going on both in your chart and his...
