I was reading this article by Alex Miller on Sasstrology, about having your mars and/or venus on a black hole. This was pretty interesting to me, since it seems to intensify whatever your venus or mars are in. I just happen to have both my venus and mars in close conjunctions to black holes. I was wondering if anyone had their mars or venus on black holes, and if what the articles said applied to them as well. Personally, I've always felt like i had this thing about sex. I've thought that was just my mars conjuncting my pluto in Scorpio. After reading this, I realize that having my Mars 7 degrees Scorpio, directly conjunct a black hole, could play some part in it as well. I'd love to hear stories ) Articles: Mars: http://sasstrology.com/2011/03/black-hole-mars-scary-sexy.html Venus: http://sasstrology.com/2011/02/black-hole-venus-love-crazy-or-crazy-love.html IP: Logged |

I can't hang so I'll be quick with this. Thanks AmethystOrnella for bringing this subject up - never thought much about it. Of course - most of my planets make connections to black holes (particularly conjunctions 3 degrees and less) and all but 2 of my houses do as well. This explains a lot - especially about lapses in time (mentioned in the link below), feeling different about the status quo, feeling like I'm old fashioned or having advanced thoughts and ideas, feeling as if nothing is impossible, being deeply connected to what's going on in the world and to those around me even if I don't know them from Adam, strange connections, having no "intimate connections to call my own", etc. Went on a search and found something that could be helpful to us all: http://www.kathleengoodyear.com/articles/Astrological_Aspects_of_Black_Holes.pdf IP: Logged |

AmethystOrnella- Sorry I don't give out my placements anymore. It's accurate in the whole relationships bit. Never having anything serious, always suddenly ending or starting. Heading into something that you know is no good yet doing it anyway and the affairs. I tend to be the "other woman" sometimes knowingly other times unknowingly. I've officially taken a stand to not do this. IP: Logged |

@LuvinU, thanks for the article, I tried finding some more stuff about black holes by searching Alex Miller's site but only found a bunch of stuff about politics. I'll def check it out from a computer when I get a chance.@LittleCloud, I thought the whole relationships appearing and disappearing applied too. And taking risks, that was something that comes with having your personal planets on a black hole. I'm interested in reading more about how black holes affect the other planets, especially the slower ones, IP: Logged |

I have Mars at 11 Virgo, conjunct a black hole (2) and square two black holes (2, 1)...I do relate to the Mars article. I'm really into sex! But I thought it might be my 8th house stellium--Leo Sun-Merc and Virgo Mars in the 8th.My Venus at 29 Cancer is also conjunct a black hole (1), and squared a black hole (0)...but I don't really relate to the Venus article. I had one very long-term relationship through most of my adult life, and, now that I am single again, the guys I go out with are definitely great guys, most people would consider them very appropriate partners. (I think maybe it's my Saturn-Moon conjunction in the 7th that counteracts any black hole Venus tendencies.) IP: Logged |

I was reading the article LuvinU made a link to, and saw this bit: "…. A person with a black hole Aries Sun may be tentative or rather unthinkingly charging into situations ( a typical aries trait), thus seemingly uncharacteristically weak for an Aries – but this person may instead wisely ask, “Which way is forward?” before committing to a course of action. Someone with black hole mercury may speak wisely but not be heard or understood. Black hole Venus folks may struggle with self esteem and financial issues until they discover their own innate worth. Women with Black hole Mars may feel weak and attract macho abusers who dysfunctional lyout picture the woman’s Martial energy, but when the women connect with their own inherit power, they begin to attract healthier partners. Folks with black holes satturn may have had fathers who were alcoholic, absent, or may have grown up in chaotic households, buin chaotic households, but they may evolve into wonderful mentor teachers and parents. Those with black holes on their ascendant, the chief environmental point in a chart may feel invisible throughout their lives an yet may make a quiet but huge impact behind the scenes…"I guess the blackhole takes a wormhole effect on the planets, hiding their traits, making them invisible, or making them seem like to take the opposite effect IP: Logged |

@Lucia23 I totally felt the same way about the Mars article. Do you have any of the blackhole planets aspecting each other? My love life's pretty much been like yours, I've been in love, once, and that was long term, I've dated other guys short term but i figured it was normal. But one thing from the venus article that applied to me, was that i get entirely too caught up in my relationships. What about your other planets on black holes? IP: Logged |

Ughh... I have a black hole exactly conj my Venus and square it too... And why is there so many black holes in Saggie? It doesn't sit well with my all my Saggie planets! IP: Logged |

Amethyst, that applies to me too!--I get too caught up in my relationships.I have tons of planets conjunct black holes, and a bunch of them are aspecting each other. There's one on my Ascendent square my Pluto. I'm not sure which of the interpretations of black hole planets are accurate, and which aren't. Personally, I would only look at conjunctions at a less-than-3 degree orb. (And then if the planet the black hole is conjunct is opposed or squared another planet, I might consider the black hole within that aspect.) I feel like they're more like the nodes...and I only look at nodal conjunctions/oppositions, not squares or other aspects. Again, the exception is if the node is conjunct a planet/angle. Some of what I've read doesn't seem too accurate, applied to natal charts I know well. IP: Logged |

@Racole12, I think there's a whole lot of black holes in Sagittarius cuz the galactic center's there. The opposite sign, Gemini, has only two black holes.@Lucia23, all my conjunctions are like, one or two degrees at the most away. There's not enough information about black holes on the internet, I'll have to find a book on it to get more information. The article on kathleengoodyear.com's a bit vague. I wish there was a list covering the effects of the black holes in certain signs IP: Logged |

Never heard of it, but was reading the description, and I thought 'checkmark!'To me they all sounded like having Venus in aspect to the outer planets (the descrip), anyway I looked at the degrees and my Venus is conj one black hole, opposed another, and square to 2 others within orb, a nice lil Venus black hole grand cross mish mash thing-o. Didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know IP: Logged |

All of my planets are conjunct black holes. Both interps seem to work alright with me, but it's tough to tribute stuff to black holes when there are so many of them. IP: Logged |

I cannot see any sense in that and it has nothing to do with astrology. There are so many black holes - our whole charts would disappear. Let's stay serious! kamaIP: Logged |

Every single one of my planets (except mars) are conjunct a Blackhole. Even my Ascendant couldn't escape at 22 Capricorn. The descriptions seem pretty accurate, actually, especially the Venus one (sadly). Though I don't think blackholes swallow the influence of the planets, atleast not in my case. The only planet that would be true for (for me) is Venus but that's because its already unaspected. Anyways, I'm not sure how much weight I'd put on blackholes since there's so many of them. The only one I'd pay attention to is the Galactic Center.IP: Logged |

I have to agree with kama There's too many of them for this to be taken seriously. The orbs are far too wide for something like this and its likely the effects can be found in aspects between the planets. IP: Logged |

I have never heard this but it sounds really accurate, especially the Mars Black Hole description - oof! I have Mars 8 Taurus in 8th house opp Eros 7 Scorpio & Moon 12 Scorpio in 2nd and a bunch of other connections. I always thought it was the Pluto/Scorpio general hedonist influence. Interesting! ;}IP: Logged |

I will leave the list of the black holes at the end of this post for you Peach. I have to say that using the method that is proposed (conjunctions/oppositions with a 5 degree orb and squares with a 3 degree orb) basically creates a situation where everyone is going to have some planet affected by a black hole - which makes the theory seem useless. I think I recall IQ saying at one point that because black holes absorb energy and do not emit light they would not affect us. (Although don't black holes still represent some type of energy, even though they are considered anti-matter??) **Edited to add: I found this article from about 12 years ago that talks about scientists finding a black hole which emits energy instead of just sucking it in: http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2001/ast23oct_1/ **** I honestly don't know what I think about them although in terms of plentitude, they remind me a little of fixed stars (which I never personally use). Having said all that, I read the one for Venus and I felt like I was reading about my own sad little love life. It was 95% accurate. I have Venus conjunct a black hole with a 0 degree orb. I think if I was going to buy into the theory, I would use conjunctions *only*. Not oppositions and certainly not squares. And the orb would have to be 1 degree or under. **************************** How to Find Black Holes in Your Chart Black Holes can be found at the following degrees, and if your Venus falls within 5 degrees of conjunction, or 3 degrees of opposition or square, then you’re potentially subject to their effects. 24 Aries 27 Aries 6 Taurus 16 Taurus 24 Taurus 9 Gemini 13 Gemini 4 Cancer 9 Cancer 28 Cancer 3 Leo 9 Leo 28 Leo 7 Virgo 9 Virgo 14 Virgo 25 Virgo 1 Libra 13 Libra 22 Libra 29 Libra 7 Scorpio 11 Scorpio 26 Scorpio 4 Sagittarius 5 Sagittarius 10 Sagittarius 18 Sagittarius 19 Sagittarius 26 Sagittarius (the Galactic Center) 3 Capricorn 5 Capricorn 16 Capricorn 19 Capricorn 22 Capricorn 4 Aquarius 12 Aquarius 13 Aquarius 17 Aquarius 28 Aquarius 16 Pisces 24 Pisces 28 Pisces IP: Logged |

Hmmmm thanks for posting all this. I am looking at it with 2 degree orb limits based on what it touches in my chart. I have Venus opposite Saturn, Neptune, Uranus natally. I don't think I feel this as strong as I've read about. My Saturn is at 26.27 sag, Uranus at 27.27 sag (conjunct black hole) my Venus is at Gemini 28.13 (opp black hole) I thought I might have been toned down bc my Venus is in a Taurus duad but this would make sense. Also my Neptune is at 5 cap. My Pluto is also 2 degrees from a black hole at 9 Scorpio and it's pretty toned down for being my chart ruler. (I know u said Venus and mars) Thanks! This is interesting. Edit. Nvm now I read what they do. Idk if this is it or not yet? IP: Logged |

I cant understand because almost every degree from 1-30( the black hole) in orb trigg everything. Black Hole will be in orb to everyones venus or planet irrespective sign and chart. IP: Logged |

I have my Mars in Cancer at 29 degrees conjunct a black hole at 28 degrees. It's in the 8th house too! True to the article, I have a very high libido combined with Cancer's wishy-washy attitude towards sex/dating. I tend to attract volatile and intense sexual partnerships. Many guys I've been with have liked me dominating them or BDSM in general despite seeming 'normal' on the outside. I feel like I have a natural allure for men... men are naturally attracted to me often but some seem freaked out by my more intense appearance especially when I dress up. 'Scary sexy' indeed.
