Fire and Water are
Opposites,But in
elements.

Leo is the opposite of
Cancer-The sun and The
Moon.

Aries is the Opposite of
Scorpio-Quick tempered
and Grudge holding.Both
share God of war
qualities.

Sagittarius and Pisces-
Pisces day dreams about
fantasy,But Sagittarius
experiences them.

Notice that Scorpio and
Aries live on planet mars

Cancer and Leo are sun
and Moon

And Sagittarius and
Pisces Live on Jupiter.

You could say that the
Negative Group which is
the water are the Anti
versions on the Positive
fire signs.

So they're basically the
same thing but handle it
differently.

Earth and Air are like this
as well.
One is stable like
rock,But the other is free
like air.

Gemini is the opposite of
Virgo.

Aquarius is the opposite of
Capricorn.

Libra is the Opposite of
Taurus.

Gemini and Virgo are the
communicators and rule
planet Mercury.
One talks
alot and has great
intelligence,But the other
has great analytic skills and great eye for details
for criticism.

Aquarius and Capricorn
are really
unemotional.Aquarius has
great ideas,But Capricorn
can achieve goals.

Libra and Taurus are
people who love beauty
and relationships.Libra
Loves Romance and
Taurus Loves
commitment.

I think they are day-night... masculine-feminine -- manifestations of the same coin.
I've read about it before, but I can't remember where right now.

It is not like an opposition though... It's more like your masculine-version.. lol or your feminine-version..

Something like that ^

Awww that is so touching of you to say.

Well, actually nobody ever really thinks capricorns have no emotions and if they do they're stupid and obviously blind lol.
So don't worry but,

what i mean by unemotional is not that aquas and caps dont have any emotions. Just that they dont show them like you said.

Aquariuses are also very emotional, but I wouldn't say they are able to get very deep, though they definitely try (which is a good thing). They don't understand others very well and don't have those refined sensitivities for seeing through others that we feminine signs do. However, they are gifted at keeping the harmony in social situations and in having social tact at all times.

But yeah, caps are definitely more sensitive and easily hurt than aquas, and yes, emotional.

The lesson for earth signs is to balance a need to keep the outer world organized with a better understanding of what goes on on the inside

I’ve noticed that with next door neighbor signs, the sign ahead is like an extreme reaction against the sign before it. It’s like when a planet is completely done with a certain kind of energy, and ready to move onto the next phase, they break free from the old patterns of being by taking their behavior in a totally opposite direction.

Like Pisces is ultra passive and easygoing, and maybe even a bit vague... but Aries is super aggressive, with a passionate go-getting energy, and a very direct manner. Pisces dreams, and envisions, Aries launches forward and acts. And while Aries’ childlike spontaneity and courage is refreshing, they are prone to volatility and recklessness. Aries rushes around like a wild thing thinking they must do everything ‘now’... Taurus, on the other hand, is very stable and concerned with security. Taurus is slow and steady, taking time to ‘smell the roses’ and appreciate the good things in life. Mellow Taurus can not be rushed, and works toward their goals at their own pace, with deliberate consistency... Then comes quick-silver Gemini who is about as flexible and multifaceted as you can get in contrast to Taurus’ fixed uncomplicated nature. Taurus is concerned with the pleasures and uses of the physical world, and views things in a very literal way. Gemini is concerned with the mind, and can be very abstract and theoretical. And so it goes on through the rest of the zodiac. Gemini goes out into the world with playful openness, constantly exploring, communicating, and interacting with it... While Cancer is very cautious and shy and prefers the safe and familiar. Gemini’s purely intellectual outlook may take things at face value. But Cancer’s deeply emotional, sensitive nature provides them with the intuition necessary to detect subtle nuances in people and situations, and allows them to truly empathize with others, and also avoid potential dangers. After the very inward, weary, self-protective sign of Cancer... out jumps brave, bold Leo who put’s it all on display. Leo is daring and out to live life with as much pizzazz and passion as possible. Leo is all about glory and self-expression, and thoroughly embraces the ‘romance’ of life... But then comes practical-minded Virgo whose humble self-honesty, sharp intellect, and true quest for perfection keeps the ego in check. Leo is heartfelt and proud and may be hurt or offended at any hint of criticism, where as Virgo knows the necessity of correction and adjustment if we are going to be able to reach our full potential. However, Virgo may care so much about perfection on the practical level, that they may seem critical or fussy to others even when just trying to help... So along comes smooth charming Libra whose gracious manners and sweet words are able to unruffle everyone’s feathers. Libra’s talent for evaluation and justice combined with natural diplomacy and tact can work magic on any tense scene. And, while Libra is marvelous at keeping the peace and making nice, they may gloss over or avoid those things in life that are too dark or ugly for their harmony-loving sensitivities to handle... Scorpio, however, is not afraid of the darkness or the ugly truth. Scorpio may see Libra’s concern with surface harmony and beauty as shallow, as they much prefer an unpleasant truth to a pretty lie any day of the week. Libra wants everything to be sweetness and light, but Scorpio delves below the surface of things to get to the true crux any matter. Scorpio’s focused brooding nature is secretive, and perceptive. They know that knowledge is power and may use their deeper understanding of things to subtly manipulate a situation according to their desires... But then we have idealistic, innocent Sagittarius, who with shameless candor, and awe inspired optimism, couldn’t conceive of a manipulative tactic if it bit them on the butt. While Scorpio’s poker-faced mask may hide any number of turbulent emotions, what you see is what you get with Sag. Sagittarius breaks free from the obsessiveness and compressed intensity the was Scorpio, with a joyful burst freedom loving gusto. A Sagittarius, who may also be known as ‘that-adorable-idiot-who-says-outrageous-things-and-gets-away-with-it’, has wonder lust in their hearts, laughter in their eyes, and an irrepressible joie de vivre. For Sag life is an endless quest for meaning and adventure... But, of course, at some point we all have to settle down and start taking responsibility for ourselves. Or at least this is what realistic, security oriented Capricorn thinks. For, no-nonsense, serious minded Capricorn is wise beyond their years, at least when it comes to surviving in the material world. They all about building on the foundation of your future life, and climbing to the very top of whatever field in which you operate. Sag’s exploring and searching for meaning is all fine and good, but Capricorn stresses that’s it’s also important to have a plan in life, otherwise how would you pay the bills. Certainly, Cap’s determination and work ethic are to be admired, but sometimes you’ve got to think outside the box. While Capricorn’s preoccupation with status and security may make them weary of letting their ‘freak flag fly’... innovative humanitarian Aquarius may actually delight in outright rebellion. Truly the social workers of the zodiac, Aquarians bask in the diversity found in humanity and loves to make friends with people from all walks of life. But while Aquarians do bring the excitement of the social whirl and crazy happenings into our lives, sometimes we all just need to retreat into our own private world and just be... Pisces, whose changeable emotional nature, contrasts with Aquarius’ cool headed, impartial perspective, is able to flow to the secret place where all our dreams and fantasies lie, and where we recuperate before facing the world again. Where as Aquarius is about implementing radical change for the benefit of all based in intellectual principle’s of equality, Pisces is about compassion and acceptance for others, regardless of their flaws and foibles, due to true empathy. However, too much acceptance for others can lead to being a doormat, or being taken advantage of, turning Pisces into a victim... Fiery Aries, on the other hand, ain’t afraid to push back if someone steps on their toes…. And so it goes around and around. Each sign is like the antidote to the one before it.

Forgive the stream-of-consciousness ramble, I hope it makes sense. Basically I’m talking about the signs in their purity, not Joe the Cancer down the road who also has moon in Aries and Aquarius rising…

Linda Goodman actually talks about this exact thing you're mentioning. She says the soul evolves by moving through each sign. First it goes through Aries and then as it gets bored of being a certain way in its next reincarnation it rebels by behaving the opposite way so that it satisfies that kind of behavior that it never got to do before, and THAT, she says, is how the zodiac actually came to be. The soul acts like it does in each sign not because the stars influence it, but because the way it acted in its previous life directs it towards acting a certain way in this life.

For example Gemini is somewhat superficial and doesn't like dealing with feelings, is very social and just loves having experience after experience. Then in its next lifetime it's like.."you know, I am quite numb to all this meaningless experience i've been having. I'm tired. I just want to stay home, relax, give everyone love, and focus on the truly meaningful aspects of life."

However i think linda also said something about how the sign misses how it was in the previous life, so it feels like something is missing, so like Cancer needs to combine its need for deeper meaning and deeper wisdom with still being outgoing and sharing laughter with others.

I forgot which book of Linda's this is all from, but I remember reading it in one of her books on Google Books

Thats really intresting...

I can comment about the Virgo and Gemini part.

I was working with a Virgo same age as me, in a simliar position. We were both web administrators.

We both understood programing, but the way we looked at it was diffrently.

I'm more of a software coder and am more intrested in being able to work with every language available.

He is more of a niche Web coder and focus only on web.

But, as with what you said we both did it diffrently and handled problems diffrently.

I whould find newer, better and efficient ways to write my script.

With him he was more precise and methodical.

Aquarius, being co-ruled by Saturn, does actually show it's Capricornian side. I don't think this fits the idea of it being an opposite.

i think all opposite signs, especially the ones with the same planetary ruler, show characteristics of its opposite...for example aries and scorpio, both can explode in a firey temper, and actually before i started studying astrology so intimately i though scorpio was a fire sign

I just wanted to say that.
In my experience they are not unimotional at all. They just don't like/want to show any of it. (And, to me, they usually don't manage.) Or they are in complete denial.

Never mind though, this is exactly what I like in them

Anyway, back to the topic....

AG, the whole thing is that they are all ruled by the same planet but do things differently.

Aquarius is also ruled by saturn just like capricorn, but they incorporate thinking out of the box into their saturn-ness. The airy fairy, hardworking rebel.

NickiG, yes all the earth signs I've always noticed are just as emotional as the water signs, they just try to ignore their emotions. And yes, in denial is a perfect way to put it. That's why they need a water sign to come along and make them feel comfortable with them. Earth signs are terrified of their own emotions because emotions are uncontrollable, and they're control freaks. But they need to learn emotions can be passed through without stifling them, because our emotions are only there to tell us something, are only there to help us.

Soul evolves clockwise....aries-pisces-aquarius-capricorn, against the direction of house and signs....

personality evolves clockwise counter clockwise.......same direction as the houses

no source required, this is the truth.

All the aqua moons I've gotten to know try to make it SEEM like they're not emotionally affected but they actually are and are very insecure. It's very different from a scorpio moon but very similar at the same time I agree, for some reason----aqua moons deny their emotions until they explode and overrect to them (detachment---not aware of their own emotions) and scorpio moon is the opposite--TOO aware of their own emotions to the point where they suspect and question everythibg and have an emotional crisis every day lol. Though they are surprisibgly private and do NOT enjoy being the center of attention. But i agree that aqua moons make someone so emotional that it reminds me of the drama and explosiveness of a scorpio sun
