I have a wide(7 orb) Moon/Mars conjunction in Cancer.
My Mother just did another doozy on me ,today.
She is SO competitive with me.
If I even get a better insight than she,she has to tear down mine.
Please talk about your moon and your mother so I don't feel so alone lol

My relationship with her is complicated by other astrological aspects,too.
I looked at my friend's chart,yesterday.
She has worse moon aspects than *I* do.
I can only imagine what her mother feels like.

Is there a direct correlation with the moon aspects and your relationship with your mother?

She wants to take away my reality so I have NO confidence in my own perceptions and my own mind.
I saw it ,today, clear as day.
That is her game.
She did this to me as she was waiting for a client.
Can you see why you should be wary of therapists

I have a Pisces moon. My mother was a Pisces sun, and there was just no connection, no love, affection etc. She was an acute alcaholic which obviously caused a lot of strife for me as I grew up. Shortly after I had my son, I felt a desire to re-connect with my mother, to maybe mend some bridges, but she passed away before I had that chance. I might look later to see where her moon lay, but I have to accept that what happened, happened, I cannot change that now, unfortunately.

I have Moon in Pisces, XII House, squaring my Sagittarian Uranus (0º07'), quincunxing my Aquarian Sun.
My mom is a Scorpio with a Pisces Moon (Leo ascendant, she's awesome).
My mother has always been my rock. She's my undying love, she's the one I know I can count on no matter what. She's supportive and caring and inspiring in many ways. I would've probably killed myself if it wasn't for her. I'm perfectly aware that if she had not been around during a certain time in my life I would've ended it. I never tried against my life and I guess I owe her that, her strength and unwavering belief in me has shaped me into a better person than I would have been if she didn't exist. Heck, I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for her lol she gave birth to me.

Now my father's a different thing all together. :P

I'm not sure about the moon representing the mother thing in astrology but there's my testimony, for what it's worth.

My relationship with my Mom is strange...she is an Aqua Moon and Mars Opp Pluto. So she is detached yet SOOO paranoid and very typical to how you would view a controlling Pluto Mom (ie she doesn't trust anyone...namely women).

I have a Cap Moon (in the late signs of Cap) Square Pluto, Opposite my Mars, Trine my Venus, and Sextile Saturn in the 7th house. My childhood and how I view my Mom is more presented by my Square to my Pluto (she is SOOOO freaking controlling, and Plutonic...she even scares my friends when ever met my friends), my Mars Opposition (she is SOOOO competitive and argumentive with an Aries Mercury), and my Uranus IC Square (which is exactly true to a Moon Square Uranus aspect, we moved around ALOT and she was VERY erratic). BUT on the plus my Moon Venus aspect (and 7th house Moon...and Taurus placement) makes me pretty accepting of everything, and pretty lazy I'll admit. Its REALLY hard to ruffle my feathers and when you do. I'm over it just as quickly and I get my balance back. Plus I think this aspect is the reason I'm not a typical Cap Moon in that I need to work. In fact I LOVE being lazy lol...the Taurus doesn't help that either.

She was older when she had me (40 to be exact), and was working alot so I was raised by babysitters for most of my childhood.

Astrologically my Mom is a Gemini Rising, Pisces Sun, Aqua Moon/Mars, Aries Mercury, and Taurus Venus

I have a sister who is a Sag Rising/Venus and Mercury, Scorp Sun, with Leo Moon, and Pisces Mars

I'm a Cancer Sun/Asc/Mars with Cap Moon, Leo Mercury, and Taurus Venus

My moon's in Virgo and my mother's a Virgo Sun/Aqua Moon/Taurus ASC. Our relationship's always been pretty straighfoward, we love eachother and annoy eachother and I like it that way. Though it did border on idealism on my part when I was younger. I definitely believed she was perfect, and I still do on some levels...though I'm now very aware she has feet of clay. She does alot though, that would make most people exhausted, and desrves props for that. Maybe that's where I get my ingrained Virgoan need to be busy all the time and not idle.

My Moon is also trine neptune/sextile pluto and mercury so that probably influenced the idealism. It also conjuncts Lilith which I don't see in our relationship, but more as how she evolved as a person from the strictly patriarchal culture that I was raised in.

My Moon is in Scorpio.
It oposes my Mercury Sign (Taurus),It Sqares my Mars (Aquarius), and is in Conjunction to Pluto (also in Scorpio), and Sqares my Midheaen (Aquarius)

My mom is a charactor. (like myself lol) It's so obvious that we are related. haha (we both have Gemini rising)

She is either being super hillarious or super annoying. lol

Me and my mom are close. And my mom is seriously nice to everyone! And is generous, and will help out anyone who needs a place to stay. Or money. My mom is the bread winner of her side of the family. And in my house hold. (she is Cappy moon)
She is well liked by my friends, but they will admit that she is a little bit nuts. haha. I brought my 2 friends over for the first time and my mom went out and got us some fast food. <3 But my mom's religious beleifs can seem cooky at times. My mom was telling stories about how she beheaded a demon and speaking in tounges at her mom's funeral...and making my sister pop a xanax. haha And then later my sister telling her "You shouldn't talk about that with people you don't see that often!" LOL

She spoils me just a bit.

I think her Gemini Rising and Leo Sun makes her kind of an open warm person. But she does keep her feelings inside and can also be pretty passive.

Wich is why I have issues being a passive person...and why I was a pushover at times. My mom wants me to be polite to people who are *ssh*l*s too. Wich I find ridiculous. Does not sit well with my Scorpio Moon or Lilith Pluto, and Aqua Mars and Leo IC that says "oh h*ll no, they don't deserve it...I have to put them in their place." But it really takes alot for me to do that. I especialy like to do it to the people that don't think I have it in me. (sadly I get a rush from this...Gosh it feels good it really does!! haha) But then sometimes I can see where mom is comming from sometimes there is no point to being a b*tch to someone who is not on your level...BUT that doesn't mean I should go out of my way to be nice to someone either!...Why would I do that!? haha I do like to be sarcasticly to nice to get under a douche bag's skin sometimes...thats what I do when my mom is trying to brainwash me to be nice to an *ss clown. lol

I hope I can raise my future kids to stick up for them self. And not to take sh!t from others. So they don't have a hard time when conflict arises like me, and that way they will know what to do and have an easier time with it.

I've got Pisces Moon (3rd) square Jupiter (6th), my chart ruler. My mom has always been there for me, to compensate for the lack of support and nurturance she got from her own parents...

I also have a wide conjunction moon-mars but moon is at 26 of gem and mars at 2 of cancer. well whenever i had an argument with my mon, she was very competitive.

I did not tend to get along with my mont up til i reached my 38? now I am 42. anyway, i realized i had inherited so much of my mother and now i can see all her talents and have so much admiration for her, but as i said it did not came easy this realization.

i perceived her as a victim of my father always complaining and also cold. well, for a cancer baby a virgo sun-venus does not look too warm. anyway...i can see how she expresed her affection when i was sick. or how she worried that i had a good education she did not have.

it seems that now i can see her with her faults and virtues, but in the past it was very difficult to see that.

i guess once a person OWNS the internal mother, things start to fall into place

The Moon basically is how you experience the mother, not necessarily how she was. A lot of the experience is internalized, becoming the way we nurture, or dont nurture, ourselves. So even if a not positive experience, then as an adult you can break ties, sever the bond at some level, and learn baby steps how to take care of yourself now that you're away from the confines of the family and more informed.

My Moon's only major aspect is an opposition to Saturn. It's tightly conjunct my mom's AS/DC from the 1st/7th. We're extremely close.
