I have pluto transiting my 7th house. I've recently begun working closely with my immediate boss in another state. He just put me in for a promotion and says they've backed me to move. I have this uneasy feeling about the whole thing but it all looks good. I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or not. Almost everything I've read tells me that pluto transits are difficult. Pluto is sextile my natal pluto. Can anyone offer any thoughts?

Pluto's transits are not difficult. Transformations and changes may seem to you diffucult. But they can occur for you to be better so you gain something good which makes Pluto transits favourable.
In addition Pluto is making an easy aspect to Pluto so changes will occur easily and not that destructive.. I think your natal Pluto is in either 5 or 9Th house so these areas will be affected as well...
"Continual discovery, persistent search, and continual change and transformation keep you on the move and growing. You are able to penetrate and get to the very heart of things; thus research and the like would be good.
Dont forget to look to the house whose cusp beginning is in Scorpio too.

Yea. My natal pluto is in my 5th house in scorpio and it's transiting my 7th in capricorn. Everything I've read about this transit suggests that those who are in relationships or married will have tension in their respective partnerships. I'm single, though. I just don't understand how it will affect me. Work is the most important/only thing in my life right now. The closest person I have I've only known for about 3 months and it's my boss.

If that is the case, it is perfect.. you got nothing to lose + you will gain sth good if you do not resist to changes.. You are more careful than ever so you are harder to be deceived so you can continue to grow in terms or career.

Pluto in 5th natal chart explains why you are
single :P, natal 5 Pluto gives you "all or nothing" approach in the matter of 5 house(romance, creativity.children etc)

So, with pluto transiting my 7th house, should I be expecting a new love in my life? If so, is it likely to last? It's odd you would mention that. In the past year, I'd actually decided that I simply wasn't the relationship type mostly due to my belief that if I couldn't do it right then I didn't want it at all. Lol.

It is cited from "BobMarkerast.."
Be careful of entering into any partnership when Pluto transits your 7th House. On the negative side, Pluto rules power struggles and underhanded behavior. No, this does Not mean that every partner is going to turn on you or that every person you interact with is going to try to do you in. But there is a tendency for things like that to happen during this transit. Make an extra effort to keep communications with partners open. Resentments tend to be unexpressed at this time. They will just build and blow up later, so take early action to keep this from happening. In a marriage, the passions can increase. Either you or your spouse may want to do it more. Make sure you’re in good shape.
It is not meant to last ofc..
Pluto in 7th makes aspects to your first house which directly affects you as well. No it is not bad influence though. Just allow people to enter your life now but surely try not to make commitment both contractal and emotional way. Well you have to .. because, pluto transit can last in 10-15 years so you should MARRY sometime LOL, but examine well, just wait and try to know the partner well. Not consider this in relationships only, try to consider in every "close-relationship like business partners, really close friends.."..

I'll be honest. I hope it's a relationship. I've been single for quite some time. I'm actually considering moving to a new town. I'm working here temporarily and I keep seeing all these INCREDIBLY HOT guys. They're really tall and intense. Idk. I guess I'll just keep my eyes open.

Oooh!! Oooh!! Oooh!! Oh, I could write you all day about Pluto transiting the 7th! But I'll try to keep it here to a few paragraphs

I had this back in my early 20's. Ok, first, should mention that I have Neptune in the 7th. Ok, so, first, I dated someone 19 years older than me. Didn't last, but luckily, I wasn't expecting it to, and took it in stride. Then six months later, met a guy and we had a major WHAMMO! attraction. Let me tell you--being way honest here--the sex was THROUGH THE ROOF!! That went on for about three years.

Now, here's the bad news... Probably WON'T happen to you, since it had a lot to do with the head space I was in at the time. Anyway, after that second relationship, I went into this period where I did NOT want to date anyone, unless they were marriage material right off the bat. Yes, stupid, I know that now, but that's where I was stuck with Pluto. It's like all I could think about was getting married, and unless a guy seemed like he wanted marriage, I wouldn't talk to him! Agggh! Oooh! Foolish and silly of me...

Also, with that standard, I wasn't finding anyone to go out with. Then this weird thing happened, where no matter what I tried, I couldn't get a date to save my life! Only really *young* guys were interested in me, and I wanted nothing to do with them! (
They're not marriage material AT ALL).

Now, there was a guy who I let slip away. He was interested in me, but again, I didn't get the *marriage vibe* and tossed him. Only found out years later who he was, and now I have MAJOR regrets that I didn't follow that one up. MAJOR regrets... Oh, and that guy entered my life at the time, Pluto was conjuncting my Neptune in the 7th. Plus I was getting a boat-load of sextiles from off of tUranus and tNeptune. That same night after seeing him, when I got home, I knew deep down that I had let Something Big get away... <sigh!>

Anyway, I'd say watch out for Pluto overwhelming you with intensity. When you meet someone, *enjoy* it, and don't let the power get too crazy. Take it slow and steady. You will have fun. The people you meet will be like no others you have met before. It does have its rough spots, but you don't sound as weak as I was during that period. Pluto smothered me a bit, and I didn't know enough about its power to recognize it. Personally, I'm glad to be done with that transit, but if I had it right now knowing what I know, I'd probably have more fun.

Good luck!! Really, it's not all bad, and you'll have a few times that you'll never forget.

Natal neptune is also in my 7th but I'm getting a square from uranus and nothing from neptune. My relationship history has gone something like that as well but nothing new yet. I'll just post my chart. Maybe it'll make more sense.

Here is a link to the aspect tables.

Wish I could help read your chart, but I'm still learning, and not too good at reading charts... Hope someone else can help you out.

[Edit]

Well, looking real quickly at your chart, I would say in a few years when Saturn enters your 7th then be prepared. That's when things really started to fly for me. tSaturn hitting my 7th with tPluto in there. Also, when Saturn left the 7th and was in sextile to my nNeptune, things started happening then, too. I know, those are years away for you, but that's what happened with me.
