I have Venus and Nessus in the 7th house. Taurus is on the cusp.
My question is do I look for Nessus and Venus outside of myself because I have NOT owned these parts INSIDE myself?

Also, please talk about any 7th house planets/asteroids you have and how they work in your life.

Ami, i thought of that before, i have my chart ruler Jupiter int he 7th, opposing my DC ruler Mercury. having Sagittarius as my heavily populated AC house, i always felt like i lacked the "essence" of it and felt that i sought that part in relationships.

Neptune in the 7th. Idealize romantic partners way too much. A bit too romantic for my own good, but I've seem to have grown out of a lot of that.

Do you look for the characteristics of THESE planets in other people?

Asc is basically all about you, Dsc is thought to be the other, the not self, but its simply the self that is projected.

When you relate to others, not just simply going about your business, the Dsc/h7 placements will come out in your interactions. This will also draw like qualities. When you have a planet in the 7th you seek this type of interaction, with a good healthy dose of the sign on the Dsc and any sign intercepted there as well.

So think of it like this, if you want to attract a dark moody mysterious person, you don't act all sweetness and light, you change your stance you start soaking up perceptions, etc. all this to enter into their realm, the realm that for some reason you feel is not a part of you. The very act of putting on this Dsc persona will draw the other to you in a positive or negative manner, but it proves that you have this mode of relating within you. That's the Dsc/h7 placement combo. That's your mode of relating. You won't necessarily be drawing to you someone with that sign as their Sun, it could just simply be an energy that is emphasized in their chart. The attraction is when the Dsc person adopts a persona in relating to another, and this other has that energy distinctly manifested in their natal.

Venus in the 7th typically wants to have very serene pleasing interactions. They act pleasing and accommodating with others so that they will attract what they desire, and they typically do have very nice relations. This depends a lot on the house Venus rules and its aspects, but typically the h7 Venus person extends warmth to the other, and the other typically responds in turn. The fact that you have Taurus on the cusp emphasizes this point, even if your Venus is in Gemini. It adds to the picture that you're looking for stability and also with the Gemini a relationship that has a firm foundation that can withstand changes of desire, playfulness, and has lots of clever convos, exchanging lots of interesting info, which is what Venus Gemini likes.

My h7 is Aqua all the way through, with Merc in there. I don't project Mercury anymore but I used to. I've come to realize that I need a sounding board for what I'm going through, I know my own mind but I still want others opinions cos I like to know what people think. My Mars in Air in the 3rd also points to this. Plus my h3 ruler is Mercury which is in the 7th. All this Air points to needing good mental stimulation before anything can transpire. Sometimes I feel let down when getting to know someone if they can't follow my line of thinking, some people say I switch topics too much and they can't follow (that's the Aqua) and this happens a lot, or they don't get my jokes, etc. The people I'm compatible with understand the way my mind works, they know I need that mental compatibility cos I keep forcing the issue, and they give it to me cos they're the same, and they typically have strong Merc/Gem/Virgo and/or strong Aqua/Uranus. This is the first door. After this they meet my Moon/Venus in Earth, so they have to have some good grounding there or else I'll just seem em as a friend or just a fling, next in line is my Sun in Water which needs emotional closeness and loves vulnerability, so they need to have that as well.

I just read an article which relates to this.It was about super"nice" woman who get in relationships with abusive men or vice-versa lol
The nice one has cast off their"bad" side so meets it on the outside.
This is very interesting.I may do a thread on it.
It does relate to this discussion, too,I think.

in a sense i guess i do. with gemini on my DC i find that i absolutely love geminis. even though my planets in the 7th are in cancer, i tend to lose interest in people if they don't communicate like gems, aren't very intelligent, witty and kind of all over the place.

tonight i'll either be at an airport or in the air

i was thinking more about this topic and with my sun in the 7th i definitely spent a lot of energy thinking that i needed to be in a relationship to feel whole. to this day i've never had a long term relationship, and i wonder if having uranus conjunct my asc in sagittarius might have something to do with that. i still long for a relationship, but at the same time the idea of being tied down scares the bejesus out of me.

Those women typically have aggressive/abusive aspects in their natal that they're not owning. Then in relationships they act like they have no control/power and get pummeled. Some learn the lesson and get stronger, some don't. But you're ab right it's projected.

With the Cancer planets do you look for emotional comfort reciprocal or one-sided?

my dating past is pretty limited, and i don't know if anyone i've dated has really offered much emotional comfort to speak of. in general i'm one to always lend a shoulder to cry on and find that i don't usually get the same in return. so i find comfort in food and nicotine.

I am seeing I must embrace Nessus which is in my 7th house.
Nessus is very opposite Neptune.Neptune is my easiest planet to access.
With an earth void,on top of that,I walk a few inches from the sidewalk.
This is OK for several things like creativity and mysticism but it is a real world ,too.
I think Nessus is my single most cast off part.
I mean ,Nessus is so creepy

Nessus is the energy of the abuser, the predator spirit.
We,all, have it but I feel so guilty for my own.
I find it so hard to face and accept.
It wants to bite me when I look at it as if it wants to take a ferocious bite out of my neck.
I have not looked BUT then I meet it on the outside as will happen.
I become the "good" one and I meet the "bad" one.
Both are polarized positions as no one is all good and no one is all bad.
We, are each,both.
