Okay. So I've been involved in kind of a heady relationship with someone. Lots and conjunctions, which makes it intense in itself. But recently something weird happened which I can't help but attribute to this aspect.

He has a Saturn/Pluto conjunction at 28/29 Libra in the 12th, which is conjunct my Mars at 0 Scorpio in the 7th.

I know I overwhelm him sometimes...up until now I've mostly felt the "negative" effects on his Saturn and the Pluto stuff didn't really seem to come to a fore but a few days ago he finally gave me a Pluto bite and...jesus! He's also a Scorp Sun and Scorp rising so go figure. and I'm an Aries rising so its our ASC rulers interacting here.
Obviously I know I can't disregard the Saturn in this dynamic, but I was wondering if people could share their experiences with Mars and Pluto in synastry. Which one were you and how did it feel/play out? It's a double whammy in this case as his Mars sextiles my Pluto.

Hi there

I have a 0.18 Mars/Pluto trine with a guy. The energy is totally INTENSE! Its a real pain as I am free and he is not...

We also have Venus/Mars conjunct, Moon/Pluto Sq DW, Venus/Jupiter conjunct,Venus/Neptune conjunct which also adds pressure.

I have read recently on a site that Mars/Pluto in synastry is the 'Love Drug', which I totally agree with. I was completely obsessed with him (I am the Pluto) but gradually I have torn myself away.

Yeah- I feel like things run deeper on the Pluto side in a way. My Mars has no problem just kind of saying things as they come, but his Pluto kind of sits in silence and waits for an opportunity to bite. This seems to manifest in positive and negative situations equally.

It might be "the love drug" as you say...I don't know if I've ever encountered physical chemistry like this before...like literally the person just touches you and electricity runs through your body.

Would love to hear more peoples experiences!

omg you are so smitten

I like Mars Pluto, it makes it a lil intense, I think it's perfect for you 2 with strong plutonian and martian energies natally. Or not. Anyway, you both prob arent hit blindsided in a bad way, as opposed to someone with dominant Merc or Moon might be..

Being Pluto in the M/P conjunction (in Scorpio) - I do feel I have a kind of sexual control over him... He wouldn't do anything that would upset me - He seems very apprehensive and he is much more careful than usual, around me.

I know this is also well intentioned because he cares about me and wouldn't hurt me on that basis... but -- I do sense a slight 'fear' as well... as though he thinks all hell would break loose if he did do something wrong.
It is his perception only ^ not what I see as 'the reality' of the situation... I think I am a more reasonable person than he perceives me to be.

This is a bit strange because he is actually older and on many other levels I feel like I can count on him, so I feel like he is the stronger person.
But due to the Mars/Pluto aspect - He is definitely on his best behaviour around me - that's the best way to put it.

Maybe this is a common manifestation of the aspect:

-- Mars is connected with actions you take.. and with Pluto thrown in the mix - your actions become more calculated and you are on your best behaviour. --

It would make sense ^

I can contrast this with the opposition in synastry where their Mars was in Taurus and opposite my Pluto. In this situation - they want to be rebels... What I believe is best in a situation -- becomes the worst option, simply because I was the one to advise them.. They virtually do the exact opposite of "being on their best behaviour".

It's interesting how this works..

Mars in Scorpio conj my Pluto - is very happy to be co-operative and do things in a way that suits us both (because we think along the same lines)... whereas Mars in Taurus - in opposition -- is extremely un-cooperative and wants to do the opposite of what I want.. it is often a struggle. Although it is much more pronounced and obvious with the men.. I haven't had the same problems with Taurus Mars women.

In as much as I have morals for Scorpio Mars men -- and in as much as I would never even THINK about harming them -- even if they did something to hurt me...
That is not the case with Taurus Mars men ^^
It's actually very difficult for me to rein in the impulse to get revenge and to respond to what I see as being instigated by these guys.

IT's like cats and dog.

That's interesting. I've known Leo Mars people (square my Pluto) --- and I actually like them almost as much as Scorpio Mars. It could be because they trine my Sun in Aries (plus - the Sun is dignified in Leo.. and Mars is dignified in Aries).
Also - my Pluto is in the 5th house.

Aquarius Mars is neutral... I don't like or dislike them much..
I'm not very sexually interested though.

But with Taurus Mars (the opposition) - we can truly be like cats and dogs! and worse!
Actually - whenever Taurus Mars is in aspect to my Pluto -- it is also in trine with my Mars/Neptune in Capricorn and conjunct my Venus..
And somehow it does not matter ^
Pluto is targeted - That's the main thing that HITS me.

Lonake- you're right...soooooo smitten!!! ay yai yai...I think you're onto something though- in a way, a part of me kind of denounces his super Scorpio/Pluto stuff- I feel like he reads into things too much, takes things too personally...but mostly I don't like it because there's no hiding from him! I feel like he picks up my own Scorpio stuff and just gets it and I can't fool him or put up walls like I have with others in the past. It feels really intimate but also like it's moving to that intimate level really fast and I don't know how comfortable I am with it sometimes...just because I have trouble acknowledging my Scorpio side- its big and its there but in a way I get embarrassed by it. But it is in a way, the kind of intimacy I've always wanted with someone and never got.

Betty- Yeah, you perfectly described the dynamic! It's weird though because there is a certain push/pull with his Saturn there. I sometimes feel like I'm picking on him (which feels typical of a Mars/Saturn interaction to me) but it's mostly to get him to reveal his Pluto side. As soon as I see that, I end up on my best behavior like you said.

I do wonder about this being an out of sign conjunction in this case and how houses play into it...his Saturn/Pluto is really in Libra while my Mars is in Scorpio. I feel like there is even more of a push pull because I feel like signs right next to each other have a hard time relating...BUT my Mars probably can relate to the Libra energy since its in my 7th, but his Saturn/Pluto is in the 12th which is really reclusive (the quincunx of the 7th to the 12th is what I'm thinking of...)....anyway just thinking out loud here

I gotta agree about Leos though...my Scorpio Pluto comes out HARD with them. I can't help but get into that typical Scorp/Pluto mode of quietly watching...judging...assessing....and then eventually when I can't take it anymore biting really hard!

thanks for the thoughts guys!

I have this right now. His Mars in Taurus opposites my Pluto in Scorpio and oh man. Everything about what's going on with us is nothing but intense and illicit.

He's almost twice my age and he's my boss. In my defense, he looks only 5-6 years older than me... but I guess it doesn't matter when I found out his age before I started flirting back with him. It's not against company policy either but it's still a work environment. I suppose the thing that really gets me is that he's turning 35 this year and I still have another two years before I can legally drink in the United States. Haha?

I thought he was extremely attractive the moment I laid eyes on him. We've always gotten along pleasantly and I never once thought of engaging in anything with him... until he started flirting with me. It was a conversation about work but he started stroking my back right under my neck with his thumb (It was hilarious when I found out he had his Venus and Mars in Taurus. Very physical and sensual creatures with a thing for the neck area). It was electrifying and I liked it although a million things rushed through my head at the time. It was thrilling. Still, I yearned for the rush again, not so much him exactly. I tried blaming it on my Sag Venus and I did. However, the flirting and touching increased over the next few weeks and next thing I knew, the chemistry between us was so intense that people around us were able to pick it up.

I know Capricorn Mars preferred older partners, but I thought it was by a few years, not a whole generation.

So yes, as the Pluto, it seriously HITS me. He's a Cancer Sun and Mercury with a Pieces Moon, and Venus plus Mars in Taurus. I wonder how it is on his end.

If a couple have Mars Trine Pluto in synastry, who feels the effect of this most strongly? The partner whose Mars is in the aspect or the partner whose Pluto is in the aspect?

Mars will feel Pluto more strongly, but pluto will affect mars more emphatically.

The man I am in love with is almost two decades older.
But he has a Scorpio Mars, not Taurus.
I have never been able to "get along pleasantly" (as you put it) with a Taurus Mars guy -- when it is opposite my Pluto.
I also feel very disinterested in them, in a sense. I am sexually attracted -- but I'm very detached on other levels and I find them annoying - so often I don't even talk to them.
The latest one I had to interact with - I am completely avoiding.. He probably doesn't know what happened to me.

But I could imagine a man with BOTH Venus and Mars in Taurus being more so my type.. Venus would help.. I guess.

Mars feels more of the passion and sexual energy. Pluto feels more of the soulful, intense bonding.

I think he (Mars) is very captivated and fascinated by my intensity. It's true that he doesn't completely understand it -- and that he is more sexual - rather than soulful.. but in a conjunction the planets merge -- and he has changed a lot in the past years through our relationship. I'd say his manner of being sexual towards me is now more spiritual -- because of my influence on him (if that makes sense..)

I do see the age gap happening when I'm older. I guess it's still a foreign concept considering I only have one year left in my teens. Everything I'm experiencing is new to me.

Oh, I should clarify that everything we did was strictly physical. I didn't really have a crush on him nor do I see myself dating him at all. I also said that I didn't see myself hooking up with him but oops.

Still, everything between us emotionally was always friendly, nothing more. The only thing that progressed was the physical attraction.

However, now I find myself thinking about him all the time. I'm curious as what he thinks about it. I want to see him to observe how he'd act around me. I wonder if it was just a one time thing or do I have a "spring fling" thing going on now. Basically, I think about it a lot and I'm the Pluto.

Yeah, but I guess because I was Pluto (Scorpio at that) it didn't really come to any kind of climax because I preferred to be quiet and observe before making any kind of move about it. But I can think of two Taurus Mars that just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. They were both very sweet but I found that to be kind of annoying...seemed superficial to me. I thought they were ditzy (one was a guy and he still struck me as that). I kind of felt like they thought I was too serious and broody or something but it was probably because while they were yapping away I was silently judging and wishing I could tear them apart. YIKES

Interesting thread. Thank you, it comes really handy for me right now. Natally I have Aries Mars opposite Pluto (and Saturn), so as you can imagine I have experienced this aspect with almost every partner I had because we were of close age. I didn't really pay much attention to it because of that. It's true, though, that I tend to take things a little too personally and get easily angered or offended and they (the Pluto people) tried to handle me more carefully but it didn't always work.

NOW... I am falling for this guy who has Libra Mars conjunct Pluto in his natal chart... and somehow the whole Mars-Pluto energy became a lot more meaningful and easily to spot for me. Because not only we share a double-whammy Mars-Pluto (conjunction and opposition), but we have the square in the composite. So far we're in the flirting stage, but we tease each other on a very frequent basis and sometimes it gets out of line and one of us gets hurt. Add the Mars-Mars opposition to this, and my Saturn which sits on top of his Mars-Pluto conjunction and you get a headache. It kind of worries me. The rest of the synastry is nice, but this has potential to fly off the handle if we're not careful with each other's feelings and egos.

http://www.skyviewzone.com/lovematch/plutosynastryaspects.htm#plsopp

Pluto opposition Mars: What does it mean to your relationship when your natal Pluto is in opposition to your partner's Mars? You can trigger intense willfulness, competitiveness, and passion in one another because you inspire each other's desire, need to control, and willingness to go to extremes of intensity in order to win. You are working at this relationship from two opposite points. You have the potential to transform yourselves and your partnership into a potent, assertive force if you can agree to honor both your leadership qualities and learn to take turns supporting each other's self expression. If your romantic partner's Pluto is in opposition to your Mars, everything has a tendency to become exaggerated. This can cause arguments if you both stress the need to do things your own way.

true!

..it sort of transformed into *WE* against the world!

He's (still) the only one who's able to let me take these turns ... in a way only a Pisces Mars can is what I truly believe/experience.

I've got Pluto in Libra w/ Mars in Taurus.

re: Mars in Aries & Capricorn, ain't gonna happen. Aries and I will bump heads. I don't like the stone-face thing Mars in Capricorn does - it hurts my feelings, and stir up all kinds of insecurities & anxieties.

With pSun & pVenus in Cancer, Mars in this sign is the source of much intrigue.

Of late I seem to run into a lot of Mars in Libra's. I doubt my Pluto is the attractor but it's of interest I came across this thread now. Often Mars is more attracted to me (Pluto) than the other way around.

Of those Libra's two were Scorpios born days apart.

Scorpio #1 had Moon in Taurus & was an absolute delight. In the days of pMoon in Scorpio I would've given anything to mount a Scorpio with same Sun-Moon combination & Mars in Aquarius, this time however I felt nothing.

Scorpio #2 had a Gemini moon. I've got nSun & pMars in Gemini, so I don't know how this influences things...I think

If you asked me I'd say I wasn't attracted to this Scorpio. Not my body type. But I did pick up sexual vibrations and thought of differing mating positions when we brushed passed each other. I absolutely loved the skin texture and the red red lips. This Scorpio ran away from me.

Generally, I'm not attracted to Mars in Libra. Though I love their social grace.
