This holds true for me. I am attracted to Cancer traits in a man but I would not want him to be a strong Cancer in his placements such as Cancer Sun ,Moon,Mars or Venus.
I like the traits such as nurturing, warmth, sweetness about home and hearth, tender heart, tender feelings etc.
This will be what makes me feel the attraction to HIM.
So, in this sense,my Mars in Cancer makes me attracted to Cancer traits.------------------

I am Venus in Gemini.I love to flirt but it is light kind of flirting,not Marilyn Monroe 
I will attract someone through being fun and making them laugh,usually.
I will attract someone using my mind to connect with his mind.
That would describe Gemini,perfectly.------------------

Well...My Mars is in Capricorn and Venus in Scorpio.
I am definitely attracted to men that are ALWAYS older than me... I don´t like men near my age. Also, I admire men that have a good/high social (mostly professional) status. The serious sort of type... that knows when and how to express himself properly.
Now.... my Venus! Honestly speaking, it has always frustrated me that men are always attracted sexually to me - FIRST! And from what I´ve been told from most men that I´ve met (not necessarily lovers), that there is this mysterious aura around me (Scorpio-mysterious, secretive)... IP: Logged |

Mars in Aquarius!Yes I like weirdos. haha. Naw I mean individuals. Someone that doesn't try too hard to be them self. I like dudes that have a passion for things. Weather it's some unique music I also like, or an activity. I don't like guys that are too into their label(plus I have Uranus in Capricorn) like stupid high school labels. Especially when your not in high school anymore. Like guys that feel like they have to prove it to people and be all like "I'm a punk!" I feel like dudes that feel like that they have to prove they are something and fit into a certain label category = tool!Another turn off for me is... They also like to call other people fake, and they get really defensive and upset if others call them fake. Ugh it's stupid. I've had friends tell me that I really don't have a label, and I pretty much wear what I want.
I also like dudes that can make me laugh a whole lot. Also Aqua has the reputation for being detached. Usually if a guy is detached I don't think he is too into me. I thought the more clingy the guy was, the more into me he is. But now I realize if a guy is super clingy and calls me every 20 minutes, all the time...that could also mean that he is a psychopath that always wants to keep tabs on what I am doing. :P
So now I realize a little detachment is healthy, but I still have to feel close and connected to him. With out being psycho.

I have Venus in Pisces.
I once read that Venus Pisces can act shy or emotional when they like someone. And that does sound like the way I act when I like someone.. I also like to be very sweet and loving to them. And I like to be giving when I like someone. But now I realize just cause I like someone I don't know too well yet, doesn't mean I should offer to pay when I'm still getting to know him. That will just set me up for disappointment.
I like to treat the guy I like. As long as the guy is amazed, and doesn't expect and demand it all the time. I finally met a dude that likes to pay for me on dates often at first. And was starting to think "I think I met someone pretty great." So by the third or 4th date. I offered to pay. He was really greatfull. But that was a bad idea! Ever since I did that. He thought oh cool. I don't have to ever offer to pay anymore. I always ended up paying for both of us. So after a while I demanded that he covers the tip, and puts money in the meter. And come on! I'm going on 21 and he's 31. That makes it even worse. And then I finally said to him, in front of people in our class. "I have something going on this weekend so I wont be able to pay for your food. Is that okay?" He wasn't defensive or annoyed about it at all. So he isn't too much of a tool.(compared to what I am used to) That day I told the waitress separate checks. Well she didn't, so I got ****** . lol So I went up to the dude and explained what I was paying for and then my date pulled out a 20. And offered to pay for the whole thing. They say this because house 1 is the natural house for liking, while the 7th house is the natural house for others. Mars is natural ruler of Aries, 1st house. Venus is natural ruler of Libra, 7th house.After saying this, they attribute the planets to this. You need to attribute the houses to liking for self and others, not Mars and Venus. This is a very old version of astrology. House 1 is what you like, while house 7 is what partner you like. Does anyone think this through, or do you just take what they say at face value? i figure since venus is more of a ruler of virgo instead of libra i didnt think of that...to make venus the ruler of libra would change the element of the planet...not actual element because planets dont have elements but venus isnt a "thinking" planet thats why its given to earth signs------------------

I feel like my Mars doesn't reflect what I'm attracted to in a man...it's in Virgo, and the guys I'm into are always really airy and fiery. I think it's because, in my natal chart, my Sun in Leo is really happy and happily-aspected, so it feels good to me when someone's planets sextile or trine it.I feel that men are also more attracted to my Leo-like qualities (Sun) than my Venus (Cancer)....but then my Venus is at 29 degrees 54 inches Cancer, so close to Leo that it often forms an out-of-sign trine, rather than a square, with the Aries planets of guys I'm attracted to. Pure Sun Sign descriptions (like in Linda Goodman's Love Signs, for Leo-Aries, Leo-Gemini, and Leo-Libra) describe my mutual attractions/relationships very well. I AM very drawn (in platonic friendships as well as romances) to Venus Tauruses...the last guy I fell madly in love with had one, and two of my best friends are Geminis with Taurus Venus.
