Do you feel transits the way you are "supposed" to?

I've been trying to follow my transits and pay attention to what actually happens in my life...not just feelings (I'm a moody Cancer stellium, I ALWAYS have lots of feelings), but actual events.

Sometimes I think astrology is so accurate, other times I'm skeptical. You can always rationalize ("astrology doesn't make mistakes, people do, since we sometimes don't practice it right" or "a transit might be offset by other transits, progressions, the role of the planet in the natal") etc....

But I'm trying to learn to use predictive astrology to predict things in my life. And, eh, it's going so-so.

It works for me if I take into account what the transiting planet is all about in my natal, which house it's in and also the house that it rules, those help. But if I just think t.Jupiter in my 7th is gonna bring some great relationship, that's always wrong, haha. There's something called the natal promise, where each planet in the chart is limited in so far as what it can do 'for you' and it will operate within distinct perimeters. But you have to follow it closely to see.

One thing that works for my chart is that when the t.Moon is conj my MC I get luck at work, usually in terms of extra recognition, or it's a great time to get something started on my business, etc. My natal Moon is in the 6th, and it rules the 12th, but I think it's more the 6th house placement that plays into it.

I remember a lady here a while back stating that her p.Sun had met up with her n.Venus (or the other way around) anyway the point is that astrologers put that across as the crucial time to meet someone and fall in love, it's as if you could live in a bunker for a yr and that perfect person could find you, and this lady was concerned because that hadn't occurred. Well it turned out that Venus in her chart ruled the 9th and she fell deeply in love with a foreign country and I do believe she moved there to make that her new home, but I don't remember what planet ruled her 4th. This is just an example of natal promise. The same way Pluto could be a personal love planet for someone, based on their natal, so an important transit there could bring a good specimen for a love interest.

Transit Jupiter is the biggest letdown ever... If you think it will do something for you, it wont. I have tJupiter in house 6... Still unemployed. tJupiter in Pisces...nothing at all compared to what I should have got. I got some money for uni when Jupiter was in sag since it lives in my 9th, got a half scholarship to a school i never went to at my 1st jupiter return (cancer), it makes sense with the natal potential thing.

Here are my astro stats and then I'll write about my t.Uranus conj n.Sun experience: Aquarius DSC, Mercury conj the cusp, ruler Uranus is in Sagittarius in the 5th, sq my Sun in Pisces (Sun rules the Asc, sq Uranus, which rules the Dsc).

At this time I became engaged to a foreigner (a Gemini) who I went to school with (he was here in California short term to study) but he was born, raised, and still claimed citizenship to Wales. After his course of study here had ended, he went back home. Well there I was thinking 'OK let's get hitched' not caring about anyone's approval, and went over there by my lonesome ready to stay in some hotel over there when his family said 'Oh no, you have to stay with us' ::gasp:: So there I was traveling to a country I'd never been, living with this family of my fiance who I didn't know (but worked like a fiend to gain their approval cos it meant so much to him) and literally we made the decision to marry in a nanosecond. Everyone was against it, and having Uranus in Sadge up the butt of all my relationships I didn't care one bit (no one in my family has ever met anyone I've ever dated or kissed or anything, even as a teenager I would sneak out at night), but this lil Welsh boy, his family's approval meant everything and he couldn't stand up and be his own person so that engagement dissolved.

Notice the ending with the square to my Sun, there's always an element in my relationships (either them or myself) regarding 'how much are you willing to risk to be yourself, do you care about approval and how much of yourself are you willing to negate to get it, etc.' Now that element in itself can be positive or negative, but it just so happened that I was taught a good lesson about what I needed at the time.
And of course the keyword for Uranus is stubborn, so no one was gonna stop me.

Just another example.

And at the time I knew astro but not as much as I do now; Uranus was transiting my 8th, so I was just thinking I was gonna have some crazy paranormal things happening (Uranus + h8), which did end up happening actually but that took a few yrs to manifest, not until it was prob midway through the house, and at the time of the transit it was just barely inside the 8th.

And for the record I'd still marry a foreigner in a nanosecond. I know I wrote a bit ago how I was done with marriage, but I still think it's so romantic to just up and do it, and who cares if you get divorced, who cares if anyone approves. But I'm officially against engagements.

This all helps a lot!

When tJupiter touches my Sun or Pluto, or tSun or tPluto hit my Jupiter, the most amazing things happen to me. But I was noticing that nothing too great happened with tMars-natal Jupiter. Looking at house rules makes it all make a lot more sense.

I'll have to look more deeply at why Venus transits make me uncomfortable, though.

Ok so some of you suggested to look at house rulers of matter being looked at and note what’s happening with them, which is not new to me. However, say for example i’m curious about venus matters.

My venus is in aries in the 11th house.
Would it be wrong for me to look at the signs ruler.
So ruler of aries would be mars. would looking at the transiting mars be wrong.
Same with house. My venus is in the 11th house, and my 11th house ruler would be Neptune. Would looking at Neptune make sense if I wanted to check upcoming venus situations.

First look at Dsc ruler and see what you get from looking at past transits. If that doesn't help any, you may want to look at the dispositor of your Venus, which is Mars.

Transitting Jupiter is always hilarious to me. I'll expect one thing, nothing will really happen, I stop thinking about it, and then something extremely awesome in a different sense occurs when I least expect it. It's going through my 7th house right now along with Uranus and pretty much every other damn planet right now, and while initially it was EXTREMELY dull, it's like everything suddenly snowballed on me a couple of days ago once I stopped thinking about it.

I agree, it's hard with the 3rd house cap stellium not to worry why aren't I getting what I'm expecting.
