Topic: True Ascendant Sign?

Hi! I wanna know what my sons true ascendant sign is? He was born at 15:40pm so i've always assumed Sagittarius but I read in a Linda Goodman book recently that an hr should be subtracted to save daylight savings time or something? I'm not very good at calculating anything so any guidance is welcome!

Hi there,If you live in a country that turns the clocks back/forward one hour, twice each year then the calculations need to take that extra hour in to account. My understanding is that the planets that we're looking at, don't gain or lose an hour so we have to calculate things using their time not an individual country's. As the previous poster said, the safest way is to go to astro.com and fill in the details, it will work it all out for you. You can be sure that the rising sign they give you, is the true one. Done it thanks! He's Sag rising on astro.com too, great site! I thought he might possibly be a Scorpio rising, especially after I read about the time thing, cos he's so serious and intense but that must be his Scorpio moon then.
I had previously used cafeastrology.com to do the calculations which are great but now I got one with the diagrams, thanks!
